I was excited to try Mandolin Aegean as Greek is one of favorite cuisines. I’ve been to Greece 5 times already, and love the food. Mandolin Aegean is an unassuming restaurant on the outskirts of the design district. A warm and friendly open air space...welcomes you when you arrive. I ordered the grilled octopus, Ali Nazik, Greek Salad, Cheese Saganaki, and fish. The octopus had a decent flavor but lacked the crispy grilled outer texture that I’ve come to love. The texture seems more as if it was boiled than grilled. The cheese saganaki was ok, be sure to eat it while it’s hot as it gets hard quickly once it cools. The Ali Nazik is a lamb and yogurt dish that I personally could have done without. It lacked flavor in my opinion. The Greek salad was fine, nothing special. And the fish (grouper) seemed a bit over cooked in my opinion. Mandolin Aegean is a good choice if you are in the mood for Greek but I personally wouldn’t go out of my way for it.More

AMAZING restaurant 👌🏽 with a mix of Turkish & Greek you can never go wrong. My fav was the sea bass. Chicken, meat, and appetizers were good also. Friendly staff, and lovely decor. Leave space for desert ☕️

We were invited by other couples to come here and it was a great experience. The environment and atmosphere were amazing as the outside seating make you feel you are in Greece. Our server was amazing. The food was very very good. I’m very picky...with restaurants and this place over exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this place and a must visit.More

Amazing experience!!!!!! What a find. The most beautiful place, the most amazing food and the nicest staff. We have never been treated better and had such a wonderful food experience at the same time. Everything we ordered was so yummy. The branzino, the salads, and...all of the sides. They deserve 10 stars. And there was no attitude from anyone even though they are right in the center of the design district. Wish we lived here. We would be back a few times a week. OkMore

This is now top of our list as a bustling, but Covid-safe, delicious dining experience in Miami’s design district.

The Mandolin offers a fabulous menu with great food and superb service. The bistro has a focus on sustainability, from its food products to its unique wine offerings. We enjoyed several of their dinner specials for our meal, including grilled octopus and a lamb marrow...plate that was truly scrumptious. Take a long look at their unique wine menu, and the service was impeccable.More

One of my favorite places in miami. Best thing of the restaurant is the atmosphere and how it takes you to your favorite greek island. The outdoor seating is great to have and they have separated the tables even more now due to COVID. Also...it is great to hear that the staff gets COVID testes weekly. For app definitely should order the trio of dips. For main, once of the best thing is the branzino or the lamb chops. And for dessert definitely should order the baklava.More

yes definitely. you should call to make reservations at least 1 week out depending on how big your party is, but 2 weeks would be on the safer side. I tried to make reservations for a party of 2 for the following week and... More
