Little Havana sure has changed from the place it was decades ago. Sandwiched (pun intended) in the small shopping plaza where I used to get my grade school uniforms from, Sanguich is downright phenomenal. Recommended by a friend, I was excited to try this place out while in Miami for a few days.
The shop is narrow but long. As you enter, the menu is on the wall immediately to the right. It’s definitely not extensive, but the list of Cuban sandwiches isn’t really long anyway, so no big deal. Across from the menu is the counter area, where you pay and (at least in COVID times) place an order. (You can also order coffee and food at the window right on the sidewalk.) Small tables are against the wall stretching the entire length of the shop. They’re small (two people), so this is not the place to come with a group of friends.
Let me start by saying that if you’re counting calories, this is not the place for you. I had the Pan con Lechón (pulled pork) and it was delicious. The pickled onions hit the spot and the bread what perfectly toasted and buttery. I also had a piece of the Cuban Sanguich and the Pan con Bistec (steak). Both were also out of the ballpark. The sandwiches may seem on the smaller side at first but they’re filling. To top it off, I had the banana shake ... because why not.
If you’d rather skip the ‘sanguich’ and only have a coffee/drink, do yourself a favor and drink a lot of whatever you please so that you find a reason to use the bathroom. Whoever decorated the women’s bathroom has their A-game on. The wallpaper is be-uuu-tiful. I basically want to replicate the decor in my own home.
If you visit Miami, this is the real deal—a place locals frequent. So do yourself a favor: skip Miami Beach and visit Little Havana instead

I almost walked past the restaurant using the map function on my mobile. The clean and simple signage that somehow caught my eye was representative of the whole experience.
These are just sandwiches, right? But somehow these were just... better. Beginning the order with the ham croquettes, and then sharing the Cubano and Pan Con Bistec, the combination of limited ingredients was delectable.
Remember to wait until summoned by the cashier/host. I saw several people over the course of the meal make my initial mistake of walking in to ask about seating, only to have the young lady quickly enforce the limited capacity. A couple did ask to use the restroom while waiting and she obliged. The efficiency of the service seems to be primary among their goals outside of delivering a masterfully prepared sandwich.
A final note: this restaurant was recommended to me by a lovely Bostonian-Italian girl who emphasized her appreciation of excellence in this area; she was not wrong.

Fantastic little spot. Certainly one of the best Cuban sandwiches to be had. Great coffee drinks and the house made hot sauces are worth buying to take some home.
Every ingredient is point on from flavor to texture. A must visit for a Cubano or the likes.

Amazing staff and incredible food! I came here with my fiancé who has celiac disease and the staff were very knowledgeable and accommodating. They recommended the plantain nachos which were delicious, it made her day because she can very rarely eat out at places like this. I had the Cubano and it was on point. The ingredients are quality and the sandwich is made in such a way that you get a bit of everything in each bite. Definitely try the garlic aioli because it’s a game changer. We will be back!

It's simple, but memorable. This place rocks, I love that they are not showy or want to make a sandwich more than it is. It was perfect. The sauces you can tell are homemade, and I think that completes the meal. Keep up the good work.

These guys are crushing it! They make just about everything in house including the ham, bread, even the mustard... and the result is a delicious, but still traditional and totally satisfying Cuban sandwich. Great coffee and frozen fruit beverages as well. Stellar service and fun to watch them work behind the counter.

Noteworthy Cuban sandwich spot in Little Havana. Came here on a Saturday for a late lunch around 3pm and there was a party of two ahead of us. There were separate lines for takeout orders and dine in. Indoor dining is available and there’s a large bench outside in the back for big groups, which is where we sat. There was miscommunication around the outdoor seat being available so we ended up waiting longer than the 20 minutes estimated, but the food was indeed very good. I got the croquetta preparada, and even just half the sandwich was more than enough food. The food came piping hot and had a generous amount of meat. They have coffees available and they pack quite a kick of caffeine. Small parking lot is available.

My sis and I came straight here after we landed and picked up our rental car. We had to wait 15 minutes or so but it was worth it. We started with the chicarrones, which were piping hot and crispy. My sis had the Cubano and I had the pan con lechon, We swapped half of our sandwiches so we each got to try both. The bread was crispy, the meats sizzling and delicious. We were starving after our flight and this hit the spot.

Ordered online from the parking lot because there was a long line at 4:45pm and the parking is tight. Food was ready early and received a text at 5:26 to pickup my order. Got the Cubano and plantain fries. The sandwich came with 2 sauces and fries came with 1. Food was really good and I recommend it for those from out of town hoping to experience good Cuban sandwiches without needing a reservation or having to pay for parking. I will be going again.

There was a line out the door, maybe a 20 minute wait. While we waited in line, the staff brought us ice waters, which was so sweet. The Pan Con Lechon was fantastic!! You enter the door, place your order immediately, and then someone brings your order out to your table. All staff were so kind and helpful, and many were sanitizing chairs and tables often. Will go back!!!

OK, peeps. We had a Cuban sandwich tour across starting from Miami to Key West. This is THE PLACE! Man, the lechon is just sublime. The bread is on point and just the right amount of mustard.... The folks at the shop are really friendly and even though we came just about 30 minutes before closing, no rush, just love!

Excellent lunch spot for Sandwiches, Shakes, Plantain Frites.
The tiny spot in the heart of Little Havana has 7 tiny tables in a row for eat ins. A large back yard table(our choice).
An outside window for take-outs.
And lines for both venues.
The staff super attentive and friendly.
We ordered Pan con Lechón comes with a dab of Cilantro Ajioli and Red Onions.
Cubano- typical Cuban Sandwich.
Croqueta Preparada- a Cubano with Cróquets
Plantain Fries comes with three dipping sauces: Cilantro Ajioli, Garlic Ajioli and a house dressing.
Mamey Shakes ( with water) lite & refreshing.
Cortaditos to cap the lunch.

We took a bus for 2.5 hours to get here as it was highly recommended on numerous sites. However, we felt the sandwiches were just okay and completely overpriced for the taste level. We enjoyed it but it didn’t blow us away at all.
The croquettes were tasty though!

Delicious Cubano and Pan con Lechon Sandwiches and La Rubia Beer! One of the best and most affordable meals we had during our stay in Ft. Lauderdale/Miami. Get there early or plan to wait in line outside about 20-30 minutes. While you are waiting in line, decide what you want to eat. Don't wait until you are ordering to figure it out...there are other people waiting to eat and this only prolongs their wait. When you are called inside, order your sandwich/drink at the bar, then find a seat. Or, order from the outdoor take-out line and eat it in your car or in front of the other nearby businesses. My favorite sandwich was the Pan con Lechon because it had a nice mild spicy flavor, not overpowering at all. LaRubia Beer tastes exactly like Stella Artois...delish! This is not a place you want to miss when you are in Little Havana, in fact, it's the best food establishment in the area! If you don't speak Cuban, be ready to point to what you want to eat because the cashier didn't speak English....but not an issue at all! Very tastefully decorated, clean, upscale!

I visited for the second time this shop to try their cuban sandwich, the first visit I tried their pan con bistec, and it didn’t meet the hype, so I tried the Cuban sandwich today, and basically the only thing that separates this Cuban sandwich from others like S and G Vegetables in Hialeah, Rinconcito de Santa Barbara also in Hialeah its the hype and the marketing, the quality and taste of the sandwich its as good as those other places I listed, if this is your first bite of a Cuban sandwich it will blow your taste buds, but if is not , its just a fancy and pricey Cuban sandwich. Their croquetas with their green sauce are absolutely amazing, the best I have tried. Worth the visit, clean and great customer service.
