We stopped in for lunch and ordered 'Linguini and clams with white sauce'. The clams were good (a serving of 10 medium sized clams), the linguini was 'al dente', but the 'white sauce' was blah - watery with virtually no taste - definitely NOT what...I was hoping for. When our check was presented, I looked and the charge was $13.95 - the menu showed the price as $11.95. I pointed this out to our server, and after about three or four minutes, she returned with a corrected bill.More

Yesterday, June 22, 2821, we stopped for a late lunch. I ordred Spaghetti with one each meatball and sausage. I couldn't eat The sausage or the meatball. The sausage was hard as a rock and the meatball should have had mothballs....just too old. The sauce...was good because it came from a can; I ordered the pasta al dante but it came out overcooked, There was nothing to recommend this dish to anyone as it ws terrible! My wife ordered a pizza with the lousy sausage and the crust was thick and very hard. She tried to eat it but it was like a slab of concrete! I told the waitress......nothing. She ased us if we wanted a box! I talked to the very old owner and he said to call ahead next time and he'd make certain everything was okay. I didn't insist on a no charge for the food (the wine was ok) but he wasn't giving anything. We will never go back to sample the efforts ever again. Too many other places that we KNOW are always good because they have a chef who is particular about what goes out the kitchen and to the diners' tables. Miss this one!More

This restaurant has a pretty extensive menu. The starters are great, especially the mussels in white wine sauce. We were a group of 12 so we had many different entrees all were either great or fabulous. I had a veal dish and I don't normally...like or order it. Glad I did as it was fantastic. And the desserts, oh my! In case for you to see and drool for. The only problem is you are so full you can barely touch your selection. No problem, get it in a box and enjoy dinner again when ready. Don't miss going hereMore

Several years ago, I happened upon Pane E Vino and was so impressed I just had to leave a review of the restaurant's food. Now that I have moved to Florida and have returned to the restaurant, it is still as wonderful as I remember...it. The food and pastries are a wonderful tasting as the very first time I visited it. I truly recommend it to anyone looking for great Italian food and pastries! I have to mention, I had the best wait person ever when I visited last week, Tracy B was so attentive and made sure everything was just right with my order and that the food was served on time. She made dining there a pleasure!More

We ordered a meal which arrived as a different dish. The waiter acknowledged that the kitchen had made a mistake and we were given the correct meal in a take-home box at no cost. Both meals were delicious. However, we would give the waiter one...star: he failed to tell us the specials, didn't mention that happy hour was going on, didn't heat our bread, and forgot to offer dipping oil. But the hostess and other server were "on it" and the food was very good, so I gave it 5 stars.More

As a food connoisseur & a resident of Melbourne I would have to advise anybody considering this restaurant to avoid at all costs. I visited this location on 05/02/2021 to celebrate my fiancés & mine anniversary with hopes of an amazing experience. Upon arrival, the...hostess was rude, directive & short. We were seated promptly & greeted by the waitress who began complaining about how she was underpaid & would rather work at [a gas station] as they give $25.00 to people who have their vaccine shot & some kind of bonus incentive. She then began to brag on how they are the best restaurant in Brevard county & that no other place is better. We ordered the appetizers, Escargot, Calamari (recommended by the waitress), & Stuffed Mushrooms. Escargot - Very Oily, Bread it was served with was fried & the oil had an overwhelming amount of sodium. The escargot itself was tough & chewy. Calamari - My fiancé enjoyed the calamari, but it wasn't any better than the next store on the list. Stuffed Mushrooms - Taste very similar to the stuffed mushrooms which Olive garden used to server, nothing to special but the sauce was decent and flavorful. The appetizers were decent & I had no complaints as it went down & everything on the table was edible at this point. For entrees, I ordered the chicken parmesan & my fiancé ordered the Penne Pasta w/ Vodka Sauce. Once the entrees came out I took my first bite & was biting something chewy, I looked down at the chicken & noticed a black piece of rubber sticking out. (see photo) you can imagine at this point my stomach is upset & I am only imagining the cross contamination of where this piece of rubber came from. I called the waitress over to explain to her that there was rubber in my meal & I would like it to be taken off the check. She returns 5 minutes later & tells me the chef is making another one & apologizes. I explain to her I would not like to pay for the chicken parmesan or my fiancés Penne Pasta w/ Vodka sauce as she then felt uneasy & I don't believe she should have to dig through her food to feel safe to eat. The waitress then screams & goes inside then comes back out & says don't shoot the messenger but we can't take either of those off, she then takes my fiancés penne w/ vodka sauce back as I said I would not like to pay for it (mind you not 1 bite has been consumed of either dish at this point.) She then returns 5 minutes later & says "You have to pay for this there is nothing I can do, either you pay for it or I pay for it & I don't have the money to do that" - These are the words that came out of my waitresses mouth. I then ask for a manager, which they then say the owner has went to the warehouse & there will be no managers available for the next couple of hours. I was shocked by the lack of customer service & attention to detail. My table was not once visited by a manager I ended up paying $59.44 for food appetizers & food that was not consumed. The "Servers" Name was Kunz L. Management really needs to rethink how customers are treated when their restaurant is at fault for food that has been poorly handled. I will never revisit & advise anybody who is considering to go to go anywhere else. (Hemming Ways Tavern) Next door is extremely better & has never disappointed. To end the story, me and my fiancé ended up going to Yellow Dog Café which treated us amazing & gave us a great experience. It is a shame to see an establishment not want to be what they claim themselves to be "the best restaurant in Brevard County" more like a pathetic excuse for an Italian Bistro. I will not be revisiting.More

Everything about Pane E Vino reminded me of our visits to Italy. Not just a restaurant, but a deli and bakery. Antipasto was nice with 3 meats, artichoke, olives, mozzarella, one soft and one hard cheese, red peppers over salad. Gnocchi was excellent. Calamari in...white sauce was perfect. For dessert, you go in the bakery port I on your computer and select. Deli had large selection of Italian meats and pasta.More

The special of the day was good, except way too much sauce and not enough artichoke. Asked for sweet tea, and got a very weak-looking imitation, so much so that when the waitress refilled the "ice tea" she refilled it with water. I too was...surprised by the "non cash adjust" that was added to the bill when paying by credit card.More

Having eaten here occasionally for many years we have never been disappointed. I was recently surprised to see a few bad reviews when I was making plans to get takeout meals for Valentines Day, since we're not quite comfortable dining out yet because of Covid....Basing my decision on our own past experiences here rather than a few recent bad reviews, I ordered the Eggplant Parmigiana for my wife and the Veal Parmigiana for myself. Both were excellent, and at the regular price (rather than an inflated price because of Valentines Day.) Service was good from the counter personnel who took my order, and the food was ready at the agreed time.More

Six of us tried this restaurant after a movie next door. Ambiance was great with all the meats, cheeses and pastries in cases just feet away from your table. We ordered fried calamari. It was gummy and not crisp. The oil wasn’t hot enough to...cook it properly. The meal went downhill from there. Entrees were only average with pasta shells way to thick in all their dishes. Bread was the ONLY high point of the meal. The pastries for dessert must have been made last week as they were all stale - not fresh at all! And to cap the evening off our bill was presented with a “non-cash expense” item that represented 3% of our bill because we were using credit cards to pay. I’ve never seen this at any other restaurants. And of course this was never mentioned by our waitress. Why not inform your customers of the charge and give them the option of paying with cash? Just a really sneaky tactic... will not be returning as there are too many other honest Italian restaurants to choose from.....More
