I loved the uni nigiri I had. Fresh and delish. My date also enjoyed his meal but I cannot remember which rolls he ordered... pretty good, I come here on business often and will stop by at least once each trip.

The food is great. Needs more sake choices. Lots of menu selections. Sushi was fabulous. Sobs was stellar and the broth wonderful. Watched the rolls being made and they looked wonderful. Décor is reminiscent of a typical izakaya. Good service as well.

If you want the real deal but nothing fancy this is the place for you. We have eaten all over Japan and we are very familiar with all types of Japanese cuisine. They are very friendly and have a casual environment. They have specials every night. The blue runner sashimi was excellent. The fish came from Japan. We had them... More

A little piece of Japan in our backyard. Servers are all very attentive, the food is great and the fish is always fresh. They prepare all the dishes very authentically and prepare to have your standards for great sushi challenged. Enjoy!!!

Maido is a very authentic Japanese restaurant. In fact its the only place in Miami that I know that makes Onigiri (Rice balls). The Ramen here is also top Notch. All the waitresses and waiters speak Japanese and a lot of Japanese people come to eat here. The food is at a good price and the Sushi is really good... More

This restaurant is one of the only authentic Japanese restaurants in South Florida. You'll regulalry see local Japanese-Americans eating here. The staff are all Japanese. I wouldn't recommend going anywhere else. It's a small restaurant, intimate feel, affordable, and delicious.

One of the best Japanese restaurants in town. Casual atmosphere, kimchi noodles are delicious. Outstanding Sashimi served

I second Richard's review...If you are looking for a fancy place to eat sushi and people watch, don't come to Maido…also if you have only been exposed to americanized japanese food, please don't write a negative review about Maido's food because you can't compare apples with oranges. The fact that the place is packed with japanese people every day of... More

South Florida is chock full of (wannabe) Japanese restaurants. Some are quite good and others, with their Japanese/Thai, or Japanese/whatever... combinations, are little more than places to grab a mediocre bite and move on. I've read the negative reviews on Maido on this site and can only wonder if those people visited the same Maido I know. I've been a... More
