Found this gem on TA. LIMITED MENU. Based on today's catch. Grouper, Red Snapper and Swordfish on today's menu. Nothing fried. Baked in what looks like a commercial toaster oven so it took a little while for our party of 7 but not unreasonable. Blackened Grouper sandwiches best we've had. Crispy Grouper was just as good. Red Snapper a little... More

Love, love, love the fresh seafood at Island Seafood Market. Doesn't get any fresher then when the owner catches Cobia that morning and it's your dinner that night!

I'd heard this was a great place from others so while on a nice trip to Matlacha decided to stop in. It's small and not at all fancy, but what caught my attention was a fish market that didn't smell fishy. That alone decided me to get their grouper sandwich and have it with both blackened and crispy. They don't... More

The seafood is always fresh, great variety and reasonably priced. The Shrimp Salad is the best we have ever tasted. Ask the knowledgeable staff on different ways to cook the variety of seafood

I really like this place! It's clean. It doesn't smell like fish. But they have great buys on some of the freshest high quality seafood I've ever seen. The menu and prices are written on the wall with chalk so They reflect the market. Outside is a shrimp boat. I think it adds to my live of the place.

The people are great. If you are not sure of how to prepare your fresh fish they will give you all kinds of ideas on how to make it. The fish are fresh right off their boats.

We shop here because the seafood is always fresh and they have a nice variety. It is a little drive for us since we live in Punta Gorda, but it is well worth the trip.

I loved this place. Super friendly staff who were well-informed. Huge variety of fish. Loved that you could order a sandwich made with any of the fresh fish in the case. Where else can you find a hogfish sandwich. Or a mangrove snapper. Very simple menu. People were raving about the crab cakes. Picnic tables out on the water. And... More

I travel to Pine Island monthly and stop frequently to buy their bags of clams which are locally caught. The fish is fresh and the staff very knowledgable about explaining the fish that you may not be familiar with.

Keeping it short. Could not be better could not be fresher. Do not expect a restaurant, it is market afterall but they will prepare anything for you, and it is lovely to sit outside by the water and enjoy. Service very friendly. Of course also the place to go for fresh seafood if you would rather prepare it at home.
