We both had the Groper sandwich. It was baked (not fried) with a crunchy texture on the outside. Best grouper we've had , pretty good deal at $14.95. We bought some other items to take home for supper. The seafood looked excellent ,that we bought (find out tonight). All in all , it was a delicious experience.

The seafood is fresh off the boat. Most people come in to get the seafood to cook at home. They have a couple tables inside to eat lunch and the food is delicious but it's not primarily a restaurant due to the size. Go for the seafood to go - it is really fresh.

Brought fresh wild caught cobia home and after much online research, decided to lightly sea salt, pepper & olive oil the filets and pan fry them. OMG! Delicious!!! We don't buy fish anywhere else anymore. The fish is always fresh and the staff are always helpful with their suggestions and how to cook ideas. Usually, we make our purchase early... More

We have been patronizing The Island Seafood Market for the past year! We have never been disappointed! The staff is amazingly helpful, and the fish is off the boat fresh. The market is the cleanest I have ever seen and the fish is iced and packaged properly. Great advice on how to prepare varieties that we were not familiar with.... More

This market is a very convenient and access able place to buy your seafood delights that are FRESH. The Earth benefits from this place being here. Matchala benefits from offering such great customer service. A total win win. Had the Mahi and was totally happy.

I'm glad we had the time and patience to wait for our meal, there must have been something extraordinary taking place in the kitchen as the waiters almost never ventured out or there

We love gator bites when properly prepared. They must be very tender or it will be a gristle lunch! This was not a well prepared lunch with gator bites.

Found this gem on TA. LIMITED MENU. Based on today's catch. Grouper, Red Snapper and Swordfish on today's menu. Nothing fried. Baked in what looks like a commercial toaster oven so it took a little while for our party of 7 but not unreasonable. Blackened Grouper sandwiches best we've had. Crispy Grouper was just as good. Red Snapper a little... More

Love, love, love the fresh seafood at Island Seafood Market. Doesn't get any fresher then when the owner catches Cobia that morning and it's your dinner that night!
