The Italian Deli has been in operation since 1997 serving the best Italian entrees, sandwiches, salads, soups, and pizza to the locals and visitors of Marco Island. We also have a fine selection of domestic and imported meats, cheeses, grocery items, and homemade "grab and go" prepared foods. We are OPEN DAILY! 11am-9pm, Sunday through Thursday, and 11am-10pm pm on Friday and Saturday. We also cater for any style of event. Live Music Tues, Wed, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, & Sunday from 6-9pm and Karaoke Monday from 6-9pm!

Really Good Takeout Food

I decided to stop in for a few plain slices of pizza on the way off Marco Island. The pizza was very good with a tangy sauce and just the right amount of mozzarella cheese. Based on this experience I returned for a takeout order of an Eggplant Parmesan sandwich, Classic Eggplant sandwich and a Greek Salad. All were tasty and enough for a second meal. The Italian Deli and Market is primarily a takeout place with very limited seated.

We ordered pizzas, sandwiches and salads from the Italian Deli. Seriously, so good! It's a small place so you better order early. We came in on a Friday night and the pizza cook time was almost an hour. The staff that night were amazing. Even though they were covered up with business they tried to expedite my order for 20 people. Did I say that the food was amazing?

Sandwiches are delicious

Not my first choice for pizza but others like it. However, if you want a sandwich, YES go here. Fresh meat, excellent fresh mozzarella , Italian flavoring, great corn beef, and on and on. Place is small but order a sandwich to go and take it to the beach to enjoy. It takes time to make a quality sandwich like they do so be patient or call ahead. It is worth it!

Kind of Bland - and Not Helpfull Staff

Asked for a slice with some toppings and the waitress said I could only get it cheese or cheese and pepperoni. I mentioned to the owner it was too bad they didn't have more choices and he was stunned, saying I could get it anyway I wanted. He apologized, so I tried it again a week later. Was told the same thing by a different server - only cheese or cheese and pepperoni! Those are what they had prepared, and tasted like they had been sitting around for awhile. Cheese slice was very bland, so had to add lots of graded cheese and pepper flakes. Owner was nice, but his pizza and servers need improvement.

Don’t waste your time and money

Ordered food and got the wrong pizza. When we pointed this out they gave us back the same pizza and added some cold toppings. We went to the new location and we ordered chicken wings, calamari and a pizza. The calamari were rubbery and tasteless. Chicken wings were ok. The pizza we ordered was white with sausage and roasted garlic, but they delivered a white pizza with red pepper and spinach. We very nicely told them this was not what we ordered and 10 minutes later they brought us back the same pizza that they had put some cold sausage on top. Terrible management who had a nasty unfriendly look on her face. The place was mostly empty so I understand things might be tough but does it really cost that much to make a new pizza? And where else are they cutting corners?? We won’t go back nor recommend to others.

Wrong Sandwiches

Saw great reviews of this place and thought we would try it for takeout lunch. The place in general does not look very clean. I went to counter and asked for 2 Italian Hero's. I asked what was on them and the person behind counter said "Read the menu". When I received my order and returned to our condo, I had some kind of roast beef and some kind of vegan sandwiches. My wife and I could not eat them. Would not recommend and will not return>

Pizza not what I expected

Ordered an Antipasto Salad and Margarita Pizza was told 30 minutes, arrived at 30 minutes and pizza was already cold. We found the pizza lacking in everything sadly. We've ordered sandwiches in the past, those were great.

Worst Sandwich Ever

I ordered an eggplant parmesan sandwich and it was not anything I could eat. Never have thrown away my entire meal but I can't say that anymore. It was nothing like any eggplant I have ever had, tough and the flavor was nothing I can describe. Service was not there if you ate outside - no one brought the order and when I went in to verify it was actually eggplant they did not care or ask what was wrong just watched me throw it away. I will never spend another dime at this place. Only good part was the live music being played by Jason Beal.

Not impressed with new ownership,

Pizza was only fair at best and the price had gone up from 17.95 to 21.95 for the Bruchetta Pizza. Less toppings than usual also. Probably will not return. I am a full time resident and originally from NY. I know pizza ! Too bad. it's a nice new building.

Back again

First time at the new place and it’s a much needed improvement with food and attitudes. Pizzas very good and pasta sauces are great. Just don’t like the counter service. You have to do everything yourself including pouring your own fountain drinks. It’s kind of expensive for you to be doing it yourself. Plus your pasta comes on either a paper plate or paper bowl which sucks up your sauce. I guess they have to pay for the big new building.

We had ordered to go dinners eggplant parmigiana and chicken franchise. They said it will be ready in 10 min. Wow thought that interesting so picked it up and what a horrible dinner it was the chicken was soaked in greasy tart lemon sauce that was way over the lemon tree. Seriously bad the eggplant was as tough as leather. This was not made to order it’s poor cafeteria food at best. A few days ago we ordered 2 Italian sandwiches asked them NOT to put vinegar and oil on them and of course they were soaked in dressing so the bread was soggy. I honestly wish these owners well so I stopped in today to speak with them about it politely and guess what they could care less and never even offered any compensation I never asked but I left with my thought of never again management was not truly interested. Good luck once the tourists leave.

The little Deli that can!

My wife and I seen this place on the the side of the road and decided what they heck lets give them a try. Its is very small but I got to tell you its some of the best Italian food I have had in a long time! My wife got an Italian, meatball, and a steak and cheese sandwich along with an antipasta salad and some Pasta Fagioli. Everything we got was spot on! We will be ordering the pizza tomorrow! Hands down one of the best surprises in Marco! Thank you!

Pizza order

I recently ordered 2 pizzas to go about an hour before pickup.time. These pizzas were probably cooked when I called and they were like card board. Not even warm. For the price charged, I was very disappointed in the quality and will not return.

A Real Italian Pizza Has Bubbles On The Crust !!!!

I work On Marco Island, and Italian Deli is our Best Go To For Lunch!!! I Love the Classic Eggplant Sandwich, it is the BEST! We normally go about 3x's a week. I Have Been Cooking Italian For Sunday Family Meals For Over 30 Years. #1 Rule It Is Not A True Italian Pizza If It Does Not Have Bubbles On The Pizza. This Is The Only Place That Has The Bubbles In Naples and Marco Island. Every Place My Partner and I Go For Pizza Gets Rid Of The Bubbles. My Partner Bob is A Purebred Italian From East Boston and This Is Where We Will Always Get Our Pizzas With Bubbles. This Is Worth More Stars Than I Can Give Great Tasting Italian Pizza and Food. You Have To Try It. Veda & Bob

Did not deliver what they promised.

Stopped by on Friday afternoon to order 6 Cannolis for Saturday afternoon. A very pleasant young women asked me when I would pick them up because they would make them about 15 minutes before we arrived. I told her 4 PM. We arrived at exactly 4 PM and was told that they knew we has paid for 6 the day before but that was all they had only 3 for us. They did not offer any discount and seemed to think it was not unusual to not have what they promised.
