Tucked away in the northern most point of Old Marco is Cafe de Marco. An intimate bistro/cafe serving the most diverse selection of fresh seafood & other continental specialties since 1983. A favorite amongst locals & seasonal return visitors to Marco Island. Reservations are greatly appreciated. Olde Florida atmosphere in the historic district of Olde Marco. Perfect for an outstanding meal, business, or special occasion. Vast wine selection and beer available. Twilight specials and children's menu available. Owned and operated by same owner & family since starting out in 1983. Our building enjoys a rich piece of Marco history. The Cafe's building was the original quarters for the chamber maids

We came here for my husband's 70th birthday. We made our reservations and were seated within 10 minutes of the time. Our drinks were served promptly. We had a variety of appetizers we all shared and they were delicious. Everything was so tasty and fresh....the best lobster tail we have ever eaten and those scalloped potatoes. Our waiter was there but not overbearing. I'm sorry I cannot recall his name we were well taken care of.More

Been here a few times over the years and they never change. Consistently one of the top 2-3 restaurants on the island. Service is excellent. They don’t rush you. You get to experience the evening. Had the seafood sampler. Was good. The Jumbo Prawns are...the main attraction. Cooked to perfection. Must stop for anyone that visits Marco.More

My wife and I ate here and enjoyed it very much. Wife had macadamia nut salmon and I the stuffed grouper special. We also had the crab cake and lobter bisque apps. Finished it off with Key Lime pie. Everything was excellent. Would highly recommend.

Cafe de Marco is one of the long standing places on the island due to the owner, Sandy, making sure her food is fresh, prepared expertly and tasty without breaking the bank. A night you won't regret. Be sure to enjoy her imported wines to...embellish your meal!More

Saw that this restaurant was rated best seafood on Marco so decided to try; they were out of the wine we ordered (on their printed menu by the glass or bottle), my husband wanted seafood stuffed lobster tail, sold out. I wanted macadamia crusted fresh...catch (also standard menu item), sorry we are out of macadamia nuts! If you are out of macadamia nuts, send your busboy to Publix to buy a few cans!!!! Who is doing the buying for this place???? Clearly, they don’t have a handle on things. Since what we both wanted was not available, we went with the house specialty, jumbo prawns. This is where the “less than mediocre” rating comes from. Over-grilled & no seasoning, the best thing about them was the drawn butter. Do yourself a favor & skip this place. Clearly working off of prior reputation.More

Last night we headed out to eat at a brand new restaurant on Marco and it was closed on Monday nights, so we wandered across the lot and saw a lovely patio in front of the Marco institution "Cafe De Marco" and the garden and...patio looked so inviting we decided to stay and eat outside. Right away the waiter Nick recommended a very good and not very expensive wine. We had the artichoke gratin and the Shrimp Lenny and they were very good. Salads come with the entree and you can upgrade to the Caeser, my husband upgraded and said it was the best one he had down here. The garden salad which is free with the entree was very fresh and tasty. We moved on the fresh fish of the day, triple tail, and had it Cafe de Marco and the other person had it nut encrusted, both ways were delicious. The other 2 of us had the house specialty, Jumbo Prawns and loved it. There was a lot of food on everyone's plate, very inexpensive for this island and these amounts. Dessert came out because our waiter overheard it was one of us's birthday and they sang. Deserts were homemade and delicious. We will definitely return and put this into our normal Marco rotation. Such a great night!! Service from Nick and all was 5 star all the way.More

Atmosphere is old and tacky. The food was decent. We had the stuffed mushrooms & clams casino as an appetizer. Mussels were ok and the chicken Marsala was small. Not a place I would rush to go back to.

My family visited the day after Thanksgiving and had a fabulous dinner. I do not like seafood so Mario offered to make Chicken Piccata for me and IT WAS FANTASTIC! Highly recommended 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I'm not sure if they are. I haven't traveled there in the winter. A place as great as it is, I wouldn't be surprised if they are open though.
