The service was Excellent. . At this time of the year they have a piano bar Friday and Saturday nights . The piano bar is a nice experience with many people dancing and laughing . Many of the patrons seemed to be locals or regulars...to the restaurant. The food was very good. I would recommend the Snapper or the Filet Mignon . There is a duck entree on the menu I am going to try on my next visit. We sat in the “library “ . Which is a nice dining area away from the piano bar. I am looking forward to my next visitMore

I cannot say enough great things about this place. Everything was absolutely perfect. The food was absolutely wonderful. I had the duck and my husband had steak which were both amazing. Even the kids menu is superior to anywhere we’ve been. The presentation along with...a great service just makes everything that much better. All the staff were so wonderful I cannot say enough great things about them as well. The live music is perfect, playing great songs at a perfect noise level. The only thing I did not enjoy was the lavender cream Brulé but that was a personal preference. We will definitely be coming back here anytime we are on Marco Island. And would highly recommend anyone looking for a great place to have dinner. The fact that this is also one of the oldest or the oldest is building on the island is also quite amazing.More

We have looked forward to this dining experience as much as any on the trip. And it was very disappointing. The food was very good and that is about the only positive. The service was absolutely horrible. They never brought my daughter’s milk. He had...to ask me three times in one trip to the table what I wanted to drink. Thankfully we ordered the kids food immediately with the drinks or they would have been starving. When he finally came to get our order, he forgot that my husband ordered the escargot and a glass of wine for before his meal. And then we never saw our waiter again. Others brought the food out, which is totally fine, but they don’t ask if you need anything else or get more drink orders. I had to go find someone after our food arrived so we could have more wine with our entrees. Again the food was great. Only positive of the night. Our reservation was at 630 on the patio. The patio only had one other table sat when we arrived and they put us directly in the hot sun. There were other shady spots on the patio, but they were left empty. There were extra umbrellas on the pool deck that would have been a nice touch to set up, but no. I don’t understand why they would set the earlier time slots in the sun and not put the later time slots there when the sun is less intense and/or behind the building. It just really ruined the first half of our experience. The kids slid their chairs into the sliver of shade offered by the building and I held a menu in front of my face the whole time. I get it, we asked for the patio, but they know their layout and sun exposure. It would have been a great touch to manage the seating and the sun. I really wanted to love this place. We seek out “original” type restaurants on all of our trips. And this one was just disappointing.More

This historic inn on Marco Island is from 1883 and it is lovely. There is outdoor dining which overlooks the pool. We dined inside which is like the ground floor to the old inn ... many rooms ... I think we dined in what was...once a hallway ... sounds worse that what it was ... truly charming ... excellent service!!! Very pricey, but worth every penny ...my picky son loved his penne in marinara, husband had rack of lamb (8!) and my sister and I each had the filet ... fantastic!!!More

My husband and I dined at Bistro Soleil and were impressed with our meals from start to finish. We both had appetizers; I ordered the brie en croute and my husband ordered escargot. My brie was fantastic as the cheese was not overpowered with a...thick dough but rather with light phyllo. My husband was raving about the escargot and normally I don't care for them, but he insisted that I try one. It was wonderful and the garlic herb sauce accompanying it was outstanding. That sauce would be great on bread, meat, fish or anything! The menu offered something for everyone - beef, fish, pork, vegan, chicken, & more, but for our main course, we ordered duck a l'orange and rack of lamb. Both were delicious. Because it was my birthday, we had to order dessert- creme brulee for him and beignets for me. Both were wonderful and my dessert arrived with a special birthday message. We each had 3 glasses of wine and our bill was just over $200. The service was excellent and the atmosphere inside was reminiscent of traditional restaurants with carpet, curtains and a deep red color on the walls and ceilings. Very intimate! There is outdoor dining in the courtyard which gave a more modern vibe. Finally, we ended the evening in the bar by the piano. Live music is offered on Saturday evenings and was a nice feature. We definitely will be back to this wonderfully delicious gem on the north end of the island. If you don't know where it is, look for it, then make a reservation!More

This is a higher end restaurant that is reminiscent of "steak joints" in the 60's. This is not nouvelle, bistro, or modern cuisine. From the rather antiquated appetizers to the traditional entrees with fixed sides to the traditional desserts. Wine list was adequate and had...usual markup. On island it may be the standard but it is dated in many ways. Nonetheless the service and ambiance are higher end for a beach town.More
