This was a very personal and family oriented experience. They had some of the best food in our "Breakfast Hopping" experience. The overall experience was amazing. They do have an area outside by the water we looked at, but didn't sit there, that we hope...to use next time we come!More
My hb and I get breakfast before church. Food is always amazing! Ladies are always very nice and happy to see you. We usually eat out on the patio so our pup can go with us. She always gets a scrambled egg!! Highly recommend for...a good hot breakfast! A must when you visit LBK!More
Not every restaurant has to be "uppity" or "trendy"....what is wrong with just plain great food? That's what you will find here! Our waitress was attentive (there were 7 in our group) and took good care of us. Our meals were all tasty and arrived...quickly (that's saying something for a large group). It is tucked away in the back of the shopping center, but is well worth going to. Great food, great service at a reasonable price.....what's there NOT to like???More
We checked the website and it said the restaurant was open from 7-2 pm. When we arrived around 1:30, the restaurant was closed. I went to the door and the person inside was very nice. She said that it closes at 1:00 pm on Sundays....I said that the website does not say that it closes early on Sundays and she said she had been telling the owner to change that on website but evidently he had not done it. So I am doing what the owner should have done. Maybe a bad review will get the owner in gear to update his website! How stupid to lose customers because you can’t get hours right on your website!!!More

Hmmm, the great reviews brought us to this cute spot. I think we would consider it an average diner at best. Service was good, but food was marginal. I just had a salad as vegetarian/vegan options were limited (which is ok, I’m used to this)....Olive oil tasted spoiled, left a terrible aftertaste. My husband had the grouper fingers thinking this would be fresh fish since we are in FL. These seemed to be pre-made and possibly even a frozen packaged product. Also pricey for the portions and quality of the food. We are only visiting the area, but would not make this a stop on future visits.More
A solid 10! Great food & friendly, fast service! I have lived here over 16 months and now kick myself that I missed out on this wonderful place. It may not look like much from the outside, but never judge a book by its cover....It’s a breakfast diner, with a simple menu, plenty of smiles will great you, and you will leave full! This is a great cafe for breakfast or lunch. The wait staff and cooks are the best. There is an outdoor seating area near a canal in the back of the restaurant.
Unassuming from the outside, pure delight inside. My wife and I took my 94 year old mother for breakfast. The place was clean, the staff friendly, access to th waterside patio easy for mom's walker and, best of all, the food terrific. My wife and...I had the French Benedict which was the best egg dish I've ever had. Next time we'll come by boat; arriving via parachute is still up in the air.More

It's a wonder this place gets so many stars. The only thing attractive about it is the terrace on the bayou, and when we showed up at 1:15 and asked to sit outside, we were told: "sorry, the terrace closed at one o'clock." No reason...given. The food is just diner food, and the shopping center it sits in is the most forlorn place on the island.More
