I am local and frequent Taste of Punjab. The Tandoori chicken is great, but the signature dish best to me is the Mehti Chicken. The menu is Punjab/Northern Indian cuisine oriented and have yet to order anything I did not love. Family owned and operated,...every experience has been positive and the service always friendly and prompt. There is no drop in quality with take out orders, always ready on time when when ordering take out. Great food, do not hesitate to eat there!!More

Northern Indian flavors that present Fantastic Fresh food. My partner and I are both vegetarian, eating out can be a struggle but not at Taste if Punjab. There is a nice vegetarian selection. I ordered the Paneer Makhani and loved the fresh butter sauce with...the added taste of cashew with the Paneer. Amazing flavors, and with a medium heat I loved the dish. My partner ordered the Chana Masala and just enjoyed the crunchy taste of the fresh onion on top, so traditional, and the fresh sauce over the Chickpeas. We ordered a Butter Naan and a Mango Lassi, loving both. Taste of Punjab is a rare find in Florida. Service is attentive and pleasant. Nice meal out.More

As basically a W.F.P.B. eater, going out to eat can be daunting - but not at an Indian restaurant. We had both the Chana (chickpea) and Bhindi (Okra) Masala with an order of Bullet Naan bread to start. The Bullet Naan flatbread has diced green...Chile’s embedded in it, is somewhat spicy but OMG good! The two Masala dishes were also very flavorful and delicious. In our neighborhood this is 1 of 2 Indian Restaurants and so far we cannot decide which one reigns supreme...More

We were on the way from Orlando to Clearwater. 11:00 am. We found one Indian restaurant on the way, but it was still closed. We searched online and Taste of Punjab was not too far. Great choice. I was surprised to see that at 11...am the restaurant was very busy. They had a buffet. I was disappointed when i did not see my favorite Palak Paneer on the buffet, but the wonderful aroma made us stay : ) I loved their food! Some Indian buffet restaurants make everything extremely spicy (we had two little girls with us), but this time only one dish was too hot for our kids. Service was great as well. Our glasses were refilled several times and dirty dishes did not sit on the table for more than a minute. The restaurant was busy, so cooks were constantly adding food to the buffet. It was never empty.More

Try for yourself and see. The service was excellent and the 1/2 carafe of wine was very generous. Took my wife out on Monday evening as she love Indian, cooks it well at home, ex-pat from Britain. Her dish was the rice with shrimp which...is normally served with sauces (not dried out) and mine was the chicken tikka masala with a basmati cardamom flavored rice. We shared a naan bread (what pay for chutney!) Flavors were OK but not "wow". There was a HUGE problem around the rest rooms that would have emptied any table sat nearby. The smell of sulfur, raw sewage like the water that comes from the irrigation well was overpowering. The bill for the naan, 2 dishes, beer and 1/2 carafe came to $70More

We really enjoyed the food here, very close to the Indian food we are use to up in NY. Good portion sizes and we took left overs home. Don’t be scared off by the parking lot or it being set back from the street. It...is very pretty inside with Indian music playing and good service. This is the 3rd Indian Cuisine Restaurant I have tried since moving down here and it is my favorite. They accommodated my wife’s food allergies and she loved her dish. They have a large selection of dishes and it smelled wonderful inside. I don’t think anyone would be disappointed unless they did not like Indian food.More

Our first time there and it was perfect. The service was fast and friendly, as well as helpful in case we had any questions. Plus the timing of our food was great, because we had an appetizer (something with paneer cheese). Butter chicken and tandori...lamb was great. Too much to eat! This is definitely a great alternative to the fried food of most restaurants and a taste of India with lots of vegetarian dishes to choose from. That'll be my goal the next time we go.More

I visited Tampa on the weekend, and went there for dinner. The food was so delicious and the service was excellent. Then the next day we decided to eat at the buffet for lunch and it was an amazing experience. Next time we go to...Largo, Florida we will definitely eat there again.More
