We recently returned to Cafe Largo where we have enjoyed meals in the past. This was our first visit since Linus and Yvonne have acquired the restaurant. The evening exceeded our expectations in every way. The minor tweaks and changes to the menu are perfect....The menu has something for everyone and our meal was perfectly prepared. The wine list has been updated with great choices at various price points. Yvonne is the perfect host and makes you feel at home immediately. Our service was perfect. It was so nice to have Linus leave his busy kitchen and come to each table to greet his guests. How refreshing to meet the person creating your food. It reminded us of our visit to France where we often met the owner and chef when dining in a small cafe or bistro. We will be more frequent diners now that we know what a gem we have in our neighborhood.More
We celebrated my birthday yesterday evening at Cafe Largo. My husband and I are both French and truly appreciate this gem of a restaurant serving authentic fine French cuisine. I was so looking forward to dinner because we have dined there before and it was...spectacular. Our experience was every bit as wonderful last night. Everything was perfect from start to finish. As first courses, the smoked salmon with celery salad and the coquille st jacques with puff pastry were absolutely delicious. As main courses, we both selected the veal chop served with vegetables and a second side dish. I chose the potatoes gratin and my husband requested ratatouille. We both agreed that this dish was absolute perfection. I selected the tarte au pomme for dessert which was as delicious as the wonderful pastries I've enjoyed in France. My husband enjoyed a nicely presented cheese plate. I should add that our champagne and wine selection were also wonderful. The owners, Chef Linus and his wife, Yvonne, are truly delightful. We are looking forward to our next memorable dining experience at Cafe Largo. Congratulations to Chef Linus and Yvonne on the one year anniversary of the opening of Cafe Largo! Valérie & AlainMore
This truly is a new restaurant. It isn't Cafe Largo, the once very French experience. If they would just re-brand themselves as Swiss or European, they would be better off.
Yvonne and Chef Linus were perfect hosts. My husband and I enjoyed a nice quite evening while enjoying a lovely meal together. First off we were served warm delicious bread with pesto, then escargot and Spanish dish, a lovely salad then on to the main...entree. We had grouper special that was served with a sauce and a tenderloin with a bearnaise sauce. Both were cooked to perfection and delicious. We both enjoyed dessert that was also perfect. Don’t miss your chance to enjoy this hidden treasure.More

My wife had the tenderloin with bernaise. I enjoyed the black grouper special with cream sauce...which was excellent . We both had delicious desserts. The service was impeccable the food coked perfect. We had never been there before but will be back.More
Fabulous food, service, atmosphere - lovely!!👏 Wine was wonderful as well. No other spirits - but with this food, wine is best.
My wife and I visited Cafe Largo for the first time on the Saturday of Memorial weekend. Was warmly welcomed by Yvonne and have to say we were really impressed. Highlights included the Cream of Mushroom soup and the Duck a l’orange. Relaxed atmosphere, great...service and wonderful food. We’ll be back.More
Cafe Largo is a small restaurant where you can go for all kinds of occations. We were there with friends and had a great time. The food is very European and all 4 of us were satisfied. I found the wine selection nice and interesting....Overall, the restaurant is absolutly nice. I like that it is more intimate and you feel very comfortable there. The owners are interested in the guests and you can see that the restaurant is run with love. I highly recommend this restaurant, especially, if you want to enjoy a bit of "Europe".More
Last week we went to Café Largo for dinner with our two little boys. As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were warmly welcomed by the owners Yvonne and Linus Rickenbach. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very romantic and calm. Beautiful classical music...can be heard in the background. All tables are beautifully laid, including ours. The menu offers a variety of French dishes with a little Swiss touch. So the decision was not easy. Homemade bread and butter were brought to us with the drinks, the best bread we have ever eaten in Florida. The starter was the soup of the day, a homemade carrot and ginger soup, which was a real treat. For the main course I ordered the «beef tenderloin with béarnaise sauce» and for my husband the New York strip «Bordolaise». For our children there was homemade ravioli with ricotta and spinach filling. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food, it was incredibly delicious and cooked to perfection. My favorite for dessert was the crème brulée and our children had homemade ice cream. All a dream. My husband and I drank a fine bottle of red wine with our meal. For us it was the best and nicest dinner during our trip to Florida. All dishes are freshly prepared in Cafe Largo and prepared with a lot of love. You can tell that gastronomy is a matter of the heart for Mr. and Mrs. Rickenbach and that they live it with a lot of passion. We can warmly recommend a visit to Café Largo. Many thanks to Yvonne & Linus for the warm hospitality.More
We ate dinner yesterday in Cafe Largo and it was delicious. The food was fresh, in season and perfectly spiced. The owners are a lovely couple from Switzerland. He is the chef and takes great pride in his food and you can tell. They came...to our table and talked with us. Super nice! The restaurant is clean, fresh and has a beautiful relaxing atmosphere. It is the closest I got to Europe in the US. I just wonder why it took us so long to find out about it. We will be back for sure. Highly recommend!More
First Wine Tasting under new restaurant ownership, JF Wine Imports still managing the selections. Pretty much fully booked (covid seating rules applied). 2 white and 4 red wines (perhaps 1 too many?), each paired with a nibble from Chef Linus. For me, the highlight was...Vitello tonnato. A couple chardonnay's, including a muscadet, 2 Chianti Classico's from different years, a big Sagrantino from a small organic producer, lastly a 2010 Amarone. Prices have definitely crept up, for both the wines and for the seating at $43 per person (plus tax + tip). Still, a nice evening, well appreciated based on audience clapping and the spirit in the room. Hopefully there will be more.More
Love Italian food so looking forward to this experience. Visited by ddd as well. Open table res but did not need. We were seated in a waiters cluster meaning lots of open tables but full in clusters around waiters asigned area. So we shared s3veral...other tables conversations. Service was so so even with this format. Things came out slowly, we were not in hurry but they would come out warm not hot. We had caprese and stuffed mushrooms all just good. I had the ddd special veal sop florentine. Came out warmer than my wife’s chicken francse. Double express o seem one cup short. Overall good. They had a great night on Monday so tuesdsy was a hangover night for us. Would try again.More
The owner/chef is working hard to keep the restaurant’s reputation as a special place to dine. On this night the food was average. Would go back and would expect the preparation to be better. Our server, Bethlehem, was outstanding.
We visited Cafe Largo for the first time since Chef Dominique Cristini retired. The new owners Chef Linus & his wife Yvonne are delightful and working hard to keep up with the high standards that were set by Dominique. Like many dining establishments, it's a...difficult time to find reliable help. But Bethlehem is still there to attend to your needs and she's a consistent asset to Cafe Largo. The menu has changed and I will start with desert. Notably missing is Chef Dominique's Grand Marnier Soufflé but the Apple Tart with rosemary honey with homemade yogurt ice cream is to die for. For entrees, while things are different, their still wonderful. I had the veal ossobuco with risotto which I would give five stars. Others raved about their fillets. The French onion soup is light compared to others I am used to ... but very flavorful. Things don't move swiftly as Linus and Yvonne work to find good help both in the in the kitchen and dinning room. Expect to spend some time. We will miss Dominique but I think Linus and Yvonne are on the right track to setting standards for one of the best dining experience in the area.More
