Great food good prices

We have had take out from this restaurants twice in the last month and both timed it was very good. It is a family owned business and everyone we have dealt with whether on the phone or in person is very courteous and friendly. We have tried a couple of different dishes and each one has been delicious. Portions are large and we have been pleased with this Chinese Restaurant compared to others in town. They do have some tables for sit down dinning.

ordered our normal Christmas Day takeout, and I should have known from the call, that it wasn't going to be the usual here,.. I had to call back to find out how long it would be,. and it was very hit and miss, moo shu beef and the garlic shrimp were very good, egg foo yung and crab rangoons were just okay, as was the lo mein. they initially forgot to include the fried dumplings, so I have to go back to get them,. and what I did get was a container of soggy dumplings. they weren't busy at all. thinking we will try elsewhere next time.

Hoped for a Better First Experience :-(

We went here to give them a try for the first time last night for supper on 6/17. We ordered about $50 worth of food: General Tso's Chicken, Beef with Broccoli, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Vegetable Lo Mein, Teriyaki Chicken on a Stick, and a quart of white steamed rice. They put it in a cardboard box since I had ordered so much. I got to the car and headed home and began to notice the distinct smell of cigarette smoke. I did not think much of it but as we began to eat my youngest daughter said that she tasted cigarette smoke. I had not said anything about it to any of them so she was not pre-biased towards it. My oldest daughter's boyfriend scoffed at her but then when he tasted the Lo Mein he agreed with her and would not eat it. Somebody in the kitchen needs to stop smoking or at least wash their hands before handling food after smoking. Prior to that my wife asked me if I would want the three pieces of General Tso's she had on her plate because it tasted like fish. I ate one and she was right! It left a fishy aftertaste. They obviously needed to change their cooking oil. As previous owners and operators of a fast food stand food should not be cooked in oil that you fry fish in. The chicken on a stick was my oldest daughter's meal. She said it was good but two of the four had the skimpiest skinny pieces of chicken I had ever seen for this entree. For the price we would have expected more. We felt like the portions, not being the lunch portions, were not very generous as the rice portions greatly exceeded the meat and vegetable portions. I liked the ability to online order and they were accommodating with our special requests to substitute white rice for the fried rice on two of the entrees, to add egg to the fried rice on one of the entrees, and to make the General Tso's extra spicy (and they did as it made my eyes water). They also included three egg rolls with the order which was nice but they were not very good. My wife thought they had a strange spice taste. I ate half of one and did not care for it either. We had really hoped for a better first experience but we will not chance wasting money by going back. My son said that it wasn't the worst Chinese food he has had but it ranked right down there with it. We will go back to Chen's Wok just down the street. We have eaten their food several times and it seems to be much better.

We've been getting our Chinese takeout from this place for years and years. Never disappoints. Their food is good, service is pretty fast, and the prices are reasonable.

Waste of money

I chose this place because it has great reviews and it is located near my home. That was a mistake. Their idea of chicken fried rice is cheap yellow rice with bland pieces of chicken with no soy sauce or any other flavoring for that matter. No part of this looked or tasted like chicken fried rice. The prices are much too high for what you get.

BIG RIP OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!

Their daughter was very rude and does not even know their menu. You order a large meal or Quart and they put it in a plastic container that isn't even a quart container and add rice so you don't get the proper amount of food that you are being charged for. The better business bureau will get a call about this place ripping off the public.

Very good food and tasty. Whenever I'm craving Chinese food, this is my first option. Prices are ok for the amount that they serve, plus you can order through the phone when you're on your way so that way it'll be done when you get there :D

Love King's Wok

We frequent this great place at last once and month and they are always provide good Chinese food. We love their shrimp rolls, WonTon soup and General Choi's Chicken.

Pleasant food; great value; so-so service

Had an eat-in meal here but served on paper plates as they clearly deal mostly with take-aways. Daughter of owner was very young & didn't know what chicken Hunan style was. Food Ok but not as spicy as we have in England. E.g. Szechuan style is normally spicy but their chicken in that style was medium. 7/10 for food. Very good value though.

Consistently good. Recent competitor in same area but that place had overdone/overcooked shrimp as if the shrimp were previously cooked and then reheated. King's Wok is made to order. I'm always pleased with them.

Very good Chinese in Lakeland

Easy online ordering and pickup. Clean inside unlike some others in town. Very diversified menu offering different items than what you would expect from a takeout Chinese restaurant. The crab rangoon is very fresh and crispy and has a creamy texture with a definite flavor of crab. General Tso's is the best in town and the Pu Pu Platter is out of this world. Highly recommended.

Great authentic food!

There are few places that I enjoy take out, but I really like it here. The prices are reasonable and the servings are large. I enjoy the crab rangoons, sweet n sour chicken combination plate and the house Lo mein noodles. The food is always hot and very quickly made. The only problem is they are hard to understand at times, but it's not a big issue :)
