You will never get bad food here! Service is usually great too. The dipping sauces are so delicious along with the hot, fresh chips. So many dishes have been tried and enjoyed. I really don't have a favorite.

We go to Abuelo's often. They have truly Mexican dishes made with fresh ingredients. The flavors are wonderful. I have not had any items on the menu that were not good. Fast seating good prices. What more could you ask for !

We went on a Sunday afternoon. A party of 6 adults 2 children and a baby. Upscale Mexican food. Pitcher of sangria was wonderful. They did a great job of taking care of the kids. They were quick and the food was very good!

They must have a new chef because our food was better than it has been in a couple of years. Our waitress was Jill on the spot, courteous, friendly, and attentive, the dips were oh so delicious and their new chips are the best ever. We enjoyed the guac and cheese dips so much we ordered a second serving and... More

I ate dinner here the other evening, and while the service was "okay" (the servers were interacting with each other WAY more than the guests), the food was just poor quality. I understand it's the Tex-Mex version, but even at that, just poorly prepared--and either way too salty from reducing too long, or tasteless. Sorry, but I won't go back.

We went on a Friday night with a 20 minute wait....the actual wait was half that time...the food was excellent and Carlos, our waiter, was the most attentive waiter I had had in a long time. He was knowledgeable and suggested their excellent sangria...and the peach margarita on the rocks was great. Portions are HUGE. Be sure to try the... More

I was in the mood for Mexican food and Abuelo's was recommended to me by a business associate from Dallas! So, I figured, if this person thought it was a good representation of Texas Mexican cuisine, then I should go for it!! I was certainly NOT disappointed! The service was exceptional and the food outstanding! Also, the mixed berry sangria... More

Overpriced and over Gringoed. I'd prefer a taco truck. I'll never go back. I'm amazed they are still in business. Their bar looks ok and I heard they had decent margaritas.
