Had a nice taco dinner sitting outside

We stopped at Dave's shortly after arriving in town on a Saturday evening, and getting settled. We used to come to Lake Worth annually, and a lot has changed since that time, but Dave's was here then and now. And the reason might be that the service was good and the food was good. We checked at the hostess station, and were offered a high top table but we chose to sit outside and watch the passing flow of people. We ordered drinks and asked to sit a few minutes before ordering dinner, and the waitress pleasantly obliged. I then ordered the pulled pork tacos, which I selected from the gluten free menu. It is so much easier for GF people to select from a menu, rather than having to ask a million questions. The tacos were very good - much better than average, and the sweet potato fries were a nice accompaniment along with a salad. Overall a very pleasant meal, and a very good meal.

Good food, great server and fun atmosphere! I had a grouper dinner and at only an $18 price I was wondering what it would be like. It was very good and a large portion! My better half had ribs and like those as well so we had our own surf and turf thing going! It was a fun casual atmosphere as well. Great prices for the area!!!

Fast quick service, FOOD is Fresh, cooked right, not overcooked! WE had Grouper fingers, fried Calamare, and the drinks were good and not watered down. The server was very attentive. The place, let's out a good VIBE! Feels like key west atmosphere! We called the Manager over and my wife thanked him for everything!

Gets worse every time we go

Discovered Dave’s about 6 months ago. First visit was amazing, couldn’t wait to go back. Next visit not so much but we still wanted to give it another chance. This last visit was horrendous. 2:40 in the afternoon on Saturday. Nowhere near busy. Waiter was very slow and then very short to the point of Rude. ( Dylon) $17.00 for 12 garlic clams, 12 clam shells were there but only 8 had clams in them. We figured they just fell out into the juice but nooo they weren’t there. This place is over priced as well as staffed with a bunch of useless kids. (Except for our first server Dan) . ( haven’t seen him since) The only thing worth trying is their gumbo but ....ya never know

dear jitterbug sorry tht your last visit was what we expect to give to our customers. but i must say, on saturday sept 26, the first full day we were allowed to go to 100% capacity, we were very busy. so much so that even our extra tent tables outside were almost full. we did get caught offguard by the 100% surprise, thus being short on staff, but that's on our end to try to make up. as far as the clams go, i myself was the person (shucker) on duty that day. i can guarantee you all clams were accounted for. but i would still like to offer you another dozen on me. if you would like to give us another chance please ask for me (Dave). again our aplogies

Enter at your own risk! Very disappointing, the location 10/10 the food 5/10 pretty bland, the SERVICE 2/10 We visited on a Sunday night the place looked at moderate compacity just like all the other restaurants. We were seated pretty quickly but everything after was a disaster. There was a little baby crab in our oysters I almost ate it, ant order we put in from drinks to appetizers took a crucially long time to arrive, out waitress kept disappearing. THE food took forever to come. LIKE over AND the food was OOOKK, drink ok, I had a margarita, just overall a not good experience. Food may look great but It's a hard NO! I'm not sure how this place is 4.3 in star ist more like a stiff 3.0. I had the kabob trio, shrimp good, bacon wrapped scallops(very salty) and filet with peppers over rice with a side of black beans, rice and beans OK beef kabob was terrible. Fish and chips for $22 is ridiculous, especially for food, $131 later and I was let down, great location sub par food, ok drinks, cute menu, slightly over priced. For good food NO atmosphere 10/10 good nite

Great Spot for Seafood and Drinks. Relaxed Atmosphere. Long Waits During on Season, but It's a Staple for Good Reason.

Been eating at Dave's on and off for a few years. The seafood is always really good, especially the specials (they grill a mean swordfish). The mixed drinks are usually big and strong, though the beer menu could use a bit more variety. The pricing for some of the seafood can get pretty high, yet it is consistently tasty, and their 'take a load off and relax' atmosphere - in addition to the later hours they keep - basically makes up for that. Servers are generally attentive and friendly, but they can get absolutely packed during weekends and holidays, so keep that in mind if you're planning to check it out. All in all, Dave's is a reliable fixture of the Lake Worth area, great for seafood and strong mixed drinks, but expect endless throngs of vacationers during 'on season', and keep pricing in mind if you plan on eating a lot of fish.

First time eating after seeing it for two years

We were going to a show at Lake worth theater at 6:30. Therefore we we looking for a quick dinner thinking seafood. We had walked by and eyed this place 50 plus times This is a very causal bar restaurant with outdoor sidewalk seating and open air via big windows inside . It has high tops and booths .A big U shaped bar that seats about 15-20 people was near the center. The menu was pretty extensive from apps to deserts. A few house special “ a fish casserole “ . Lots of oysters and clam options. Good happy hour weekdays , prices 50% off drinks . There are a few daily specials. Of which I had the “wahoo” with two sides asparagus and rice. For 24$ My wife had grouper. One complaint they asked her what side she wanted and she chose a baked potato. Not knowing that it came in rice. She could have had a veg. We pointed that out when the meal came and the waitress just said sorry and brushed it off. She should have offer to swap out the potato for broccoli or brought a veg as a “extra gratis” side. But I think it never came to her mind. Review would have been a 4.5 comment on great customer service if she did. There was a decent beer selection with some local crafts . Four of us met here as a central place on the map Jan 25 for late lunc. What a great time for visit and food wise. We had excellent service from Matt B. He was friendly and very helpful with disc on food We sat outside as was nice day. Started with Southern Comfort Manhattan’s and diverged from there. There were very good and fixed to order. We started with a dz oysters that were really good. Plump. Fresh and salty. From there we had the dolphin sandwich, churrasco skirt steak, Rick shrimp and tenderloin skewers over rice. We also ordered the wings, onion rings as well as salads. Everything was excellent and if we returned to area would order some of the same things. This is a great place to stop, eat and pass the day.

Our food was practically tasteless. We went there twice. The first time I ordered the coconut shrimp. It was burnt and honestly I don’t think there was any coconut on it. I ordered a Bahama Momma to drink. The mixer wasn’t prepared well so it tasted like a watered down liquor. My son ordered wings and somehow ended up with a salad topped with chicken. He said it was good, but not what he wanted. My fiancé ordered a margarita both times and said it was good. The second time we stopped it was just for a quick drink and I ordered an app. It was coastal dip (I think). It was poorly melted l, cheap cheese with very little shrimp and crawfish in it. Not seasoned at all. Service was great. You’re overpaying for the atmosphere not quality food and drinks.

Been going to Dave’s for many years and never disappoints. Bring friends there often and are always pleased. Ate there last Saturday night before attending a play at the Lake Worth Playhouse and the food was delish - 4 people - coconut shrimp with plum sauce (yum), fish and chips (yum), cheeseburger (another yum) and grouper finger with fries (yummy). A good night was had by all! Service was great, drinks were good, prices were right.

Daves Last Resort has been a downtown Lake Worth dining institution for many years..home to the Steelers Fan Club. Wonderful menu, great drinks,beer and wine selection with very friendly and attentive staff. When in Lake Worth Beach area go by Daves and enjoy the atmosphere, food and drinks .

Dined at Dave's Last Resort many times. Latest meal was great. See photos of the huge Coconut Shrimp I enjoyed and my husband's Cajun Grouper on a bed of seasoned rice topped with crawfish. The sauce was smooth and spicy but not that burning hot fire. A cold beer can cool your taste buds. The grouper was perfectly cooked and a nice size. If you can tolerate and enjoy spicy but not overwhelmingly, try this dish. We'd order it again. Coleslaw was fresh. Kelly our server is very professional, smiling and attentive during the hour we were there. 7pm an August evening was immediate seating.

first visit to LakeWorth area. Stoped in at Daves"Last Resort and decided to have a nice lunch. I had the special of the day. I can not even spell it but it was great. my wife had some from the raw bar and she said the items she picked just tasted just so fresh. She said "like they just came out of the ocean" The service was really nice and friendly and everyone was having a good time. Very nice looking place and very clean. Parking was fine. we will go back when we are in the LW area.

Our friends had recently moved to the area and brought us here for lunch. Good beach town atmosphere, sports bar with large menu 2 football games on, Steelers seemed to be the favorites. Crab claws pricey, were the attraction for the wives. I ordered the oyster po' boy and slaw. My fried ordered the fried oyster plate with fries. The waitress tells him fries are an extra charge, they don't come with the oysters. My fiend shows her the menu, with fries. That is not correct, after my friend points to the menu, she says she will check with the chef. Doesn't return until the food comes out and says nothing about the fries, which were included as the meal. The food was good, but service attitude not so much. I picked up the check, left a $20 tip which was 12%.
