Excellent food. I have tried many different meals from there and all were very good.When I order delivery it is always prompt. This is a carry out and delivery restaurant, but seats are available for waiting. This is one of the best Chinese restaurants around.

Food was very tasty. Steamed dumplings were very nice and pork muh shuh was very fresh tasting. On-line ordering was easy and delivery was a few minutes ahead of their forecast.

Good fast take out Chinese food. The quantity and quality are both good. Everytime we have ordered from here the food has been very tasty. Their prices are in line with current area prices. The staff is friendly and polite.

Was in a hurry to get some Chinese fast food today for an unexpected handful of guests. Looked up this restaurant and decided to try it in person.
Easy to get to with ample parking in a small strip mall. It was not too busy for 6pm with walk ins and my order went in quickly. The staff was quite friendly and courteous. What I soon found out was that they were quite busy with call in orders.
My wait time was not too long and the food was good. I was quite satisfied with the taste, quantity and value for money.
Will be back for sure.

Ordered from here & picked up, lady behind counter not too friendly but the cook came out & he was very nice. The chicken/Beef fried rice was good. The Hot & Sour Soup was very good and the Chinese Donuts excellent! My husband had the General Tso's & loved it. We will order again!

I have gotten Chinese from numerous places in the area and Golden Star is by far my favorite! The General Tso's chicken is amazing and has such a great flavor! This is my go-to now

I have not reviewed many Chinese restaurants. This one deserves a review. Most are blah, and eat as more of a convenience.
We ordered for delivery a tub of fried rice, the house special version. It was as fresh as fried rice can be, and was tasty.
The tub was $17 and fed three with lunch for two leftover. Plenty of shrimp, good pork, and white meat chicken. Not greasy.
If you need a fried rice fix, you won't go wrong here . Dine out or delivery only. Oh by the way the owners were polite, and thankful .

This is basically a fast food take out only place, but the food is some of the best we have eaten for take out. The sweet and sour sauce is thick and tasty unlike many in the area where the water the sauce down.
If you want very good fast food Chinese, then this is your place as it's made when you place your order and it's ready in 10 minutes! The employees are always polite and fast in taking care of your order.
One thing I do find odd is that they don't serve the food in your typical Chinese cardboard cartons (square and tall), they package your food in plastic food containers that keep the moisture in the contain and it kind of gets the fried foods soggy, so I wish they would change that.

Not really anything super good, but not too bad. Has quick service for pick up. They give you a generous portion for their meal. Veggies were semi fresh but still good. Nothing really out of the ordinary, but if you want Chinese take out it is still pretty good. I enjoyed it.

my family ordered take out from golden star 2 nights ago. the brown sauce they usually mix it with seemed bland and tasteless. we chalked it up to maybe a new cook. my sister heated hers up the next day for lunch. this is very hard to write and stomach, but she was chewing on something very crunchy. it certainly was not the broccoli, as was very limp and overcooked this time. thank GOD she spat it out and it was a big palmetto bug...you could see the insides and everything!! so gross! when I heard, I ran and threw up!! I know this has nothing to do with the sauce flavor, but just thought I would mention it anyway! stay away from this place!! I should have listened to my friend a year ago, when she told me her take out had maggots! better believe we will be calling the health department tomorrow!

I have been going here for 10 years and just had 3 wonderful lunch specials today so I thought I would give them a review. Shrimp in Lobster sauce is the best around. Lunch Combo's are a steal at under $6. Chicken is very good, great rice, and soup. Egg rolls were fresh and delicious.

We've made this our go-to Chinese take out/delivery. Tried a few other local Chinese places...not as good. I have to say the meat quality is fantastic (no "uggy" bites lurking in your veggies). It is not nearly as greasy as others. We really do like this place...hope you will too!!!
