I live in the neighborhood and have come 4 or 5 times now to your restaurant and had wonderful food and service each time before tonight, 5/6. Our server seemed new and very busy but was very nice. I asked her if the restaurant serves...fish tacos and she struggled to understand me but then said yes. I pointed at the tacos Mexicanos and said I would like the tacos Mexicanos with pescado. And the beans and rice. She came back and said that they come with flour tortillas. I said no please just serve them with corn tortillas. She went back to the order entry screen and then gave me a thumbs up. Great! When the food came out it was gosh tacos in regular flour tortillas with French fries. I said oh I wanted corn tortillas and the beans and rice, as I ordered the tacos Mexicanos with fish. She said no problem and went back to the kitchen but then returned a few minutes later with the same plate and said “they won’t serve this in corn tortillas, but I can bring you some on the side”. This doesn’t make any sense as every time I come in and order anything else the servers have asked me if I would like corn or flour tortillas. But fine no problem just bring them on the side. She also says she can charge me for rice and beans but they won’t switch the fries for that. I said well then I don’t want this because I ordered specifically the Mexicanos tacos that come with rice and beans. She’s been very nice each time and she did great but each time she went back to the kitchen she would be sent out with the exact same plate. This time she came back with the manager and he said “we won’t give you the rice and beans, the fish tacos come with French fries”. I said “I’m sorry sir, but that’s not what I ordered, and I won’t eat this.” He proceeded to tell me it is what I ordered and continued to argue and I said no sir that’s not, I was told i could get the tacos Mexicanos with fish. If the server misunderstood me, I’m sorry, but this is not what I asked for. Rather than make it right he said “well I don’t know what you want me to do with it.” And I said “I won’t be eating it or paying for it.” And he said “well you ordered it” and I continued to repeatedly explain that I had not. He then walked away and told her to bring me the check while leaving the food I didn’t want sitting there. She brought the check with the fish tacos still on the check, and I said “oh no, these should not on here.” She said “I know but he make me.” I told her I’m sorry but she should send him out again cause I won’t be paying for the food I haven’t touched that isn’t what I ordered. He angrily went back to the computer and reprinted our check. I left your server a 100% tip on our meal because she was so nice, but your manager was awful and unprofessional to my friend and myself. My friend is the manager at a Disney restaurant and said he will be using our experience as a training example with his team of how not to handle a customer. Very disappointed by our treatment of your mgmt that evening. A simple misunderstanding could have been easily fixed by just swapping the fries out for beans and rice, yet the manager chose to berate me in front of his staff and other customers. Very poor impression and will be difficult to return; which is a shame as I’ve had such great experiences before.More

We were looking for a good place for lunch, and saw that the parking lot was busy, so we stopped. We found a convenient parking place, and were seated with no delay. The food was served quickly, and was nice and hot. I liked the...food because it was Mexican, but not too spicy. It was custom cooked, so I could ask for mild ingredients. We had the lunch special, and the price was reasonable.More

If your reviewing the El Tapitias on OBT, this is not it. This location is on Vine Street (192). If not found, start a new location for the OBT location.. As for our visit, excellent! Went this past Sunday and we were sat within 5...minutes as there was a small wait. Our server was great. We had (2) Sangrias and the Fajitas Tapatia for two. Meal was delicious, great service and nice atmosphere. Been coming here for years and always a great experience!More

An unfortunate incident that occurred because of the food served at the restaurant on Orange Blossom Trail on March 6, 2021. At 4:00 p.m., my wife I were seated at your establishment. We both ordered meals, mine was the Chimichanga. While delicious, the afternoon's meal...had other, unfortunate, effects. Several minutes into eating, I noticed a strand of hair in my food. I informed the server, her name is Yesmin, and she said she would speak to her manager. The manager came to the table, she didn’t introduce herself so I don’t have her name. She was a young lady and seemed to be new at her position. When we informed her about the hair, she said that sometimes hairs float around in the air and land on the plate. I was shocked by her response. Instead of apologizing, she inferred that the hair landed on my plate accidentally while I was eating. Even though she had no idea where the strand of hair came from, she assumed that it was something other than poor cooking practices in the kitchen. After we discussed the issue deeper, the young manager said that her response about the floating hair was what she was trained to say. We have always enjoyed your restaurant, but the severity of the foreign object in my food caused me and my wife terrible suffering and anxiety, especially during a pandemic. The manager never apologized nor offered me another meal option. She just walked away and said that she was going to remove the meals from our order. However, once we were leaving, she ran out to us and said that she was still posting all the charges to the bill and that we have to pay. I was livid to say the least. I wasn’t even half way finished with my food when it was taken away and, once again, not offered anything else. Also the server seemed to be annoyed. She did not say anything friendly. We thought maybe she was just having a bad day. However, once we informed her of the hair incident, she didn’t seem to care and walked away to retrieve the manager.More

After reading many good reviews on Trip Advisor, we were looking forward to El Tapatio. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. Our meal was mediocre at best. The nacho chips were average, and the salsa seemed fresh out of a jar. The burritos were bland, and...the rice was tasteless. To top things off, we asked for queso sauce on our burritos (instead of the red sauce) - and was charged $3.50 for the queso sauce without the server informing us there would be an additional charge. We told our server (Karla) she should have informed us of the up charge for the queso sauce - she would not comp the sauce. We won't visit this establishment again.More

The food is good. Unfortunately, we tried to give the Hunter's Creek location a try and we left very disappointed with the service. David, our server did not do an expected regular server job. My husband had to get off the table twice to find...him in order to ask for things we were missing. First, the chips basket was not even full for a party of four. We ordered a queso dip, which I have to say it is really good, but it was brought to us without any chips, so we had to wait until we found our server. By the time the chips came to our table, the dip was cold. Then with my food I ordered corn tortillas instead of flour, when the food was brought to our table, they did not bring any tortillas so my husband had to get off and ask for them, when they brought them of course they brought the wrong tortillas. Again the food was good but the service was not, oh let me not forget that we did not get refill of waters. Funny part is that the server highlighted a few times the 20% tip, really?? We will go back to our Kissimmee location.More

This was our 2nd time here and the food is still as delicious as it was the 1st time we went. The staff is very friendly and willing to answer any questions about the menu which is extensive. When ordering and being asked by the...waiter reference to get either the red sauce or the green sauce I knew if I wanted something not as spicy to get the red sauce but both sauces are very good. There are so many choices and I always try to try something different each time I go. I really love the presentation of the tamale you can get as as side. Prices are very reasonable. One of the neat things to try is the different aqua frescas. There are also lunch specials.Because of the times all the staff wear masks and tables are social distanced. Just a great place to go. There is plenty of parking and it is easy to get in and out of. Bathrooms are clean.More

From experience, I have learned to look at Trip Advisor before trying any new restaurant. This Mexican restaurant is rated #1 Mexican in Kissimmee. Oh my!! It stood up to the rating. We started with a Black Diamond Margarita. It was delicious!! The best I...have ever had. Queso with chips was also very good. Nice and thick cheese. We got the fajitas for 2 which included steak, chicken and shrimp. The retried beans were creamy and seasoned well. Service was superb. I highly recommend! We will be hitting it up again before we head back to Tampa. Yum!More
