Oh Yeah--just what we hoped for

This was a new one for us that our daughter suggested while we were visiting her over the holidays. Walking in we were immediately struck by the attention to detail in decor and furnishings. Despite being a very busy night, we were cordially greeted by a manager and then a server who seated us. We were all very pleased with everything we ordered. It was quite honestly the best bbq we have had a in a good while. My daughter and I enjoyed the pulled pork plate and my wife opted for the brisket with each of us getting different sides so we could share and sample. ALL were quite good. I loved the BBQ beans and Cole slaw, my wife raved about the sweet potato casserole and our girl loved the Mac & cheese in particular. My wife and I also liked the cornbread. Considering the crowd the restaurant was clean and service was good. It will likely be summertime before we visit the area again, but I think it likely this place will see us again. In fact I think it will join the list of best places we have found in the Orlando area.

best 2 off restaurant visits during 3 week holiday

One late afternoon I went with my family to see the sports and custom cars showing at Sunset Walk in Margaritaville. We saw a sign for Lizzie's Memphis Style Barbecue stating that food and drinks had 50% discount from 5pm until 6pm. As it was nearly that time we had a look at the menu to make sure there was stuff we would like. We went in to a half full restaurant (as it was early) Between us we ordered Ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, salads, burgers and fried pickles. There were limited beer choices available but at half price the Big Storm 'Bromosa' Tangerine IPA (with unusual faint tangeriney taste) and Lizzie's lager were good to wash down the food) ALL food was well cooked and tasty. My family particularly liked the fried pickles as we don't get them in the UK. I am a great lover of BBQ ribs and the ones I got at Lizzie's were BY FAR THE BEST I have had in the last few years. they were moist, covered in tasty BBQ sauce and fell off the bone, absolute heaven. Best of all was that it was all half price - what a bargain - I repeat what a bargain Because quality and taste of the food and price was so good we returned a second time (the only time we visited a restaurant twice in our 3 week holiday) the other family members tried a few different menu items but there was NO way I was going to order anything but the ribs. Food quality and taste was excellent again on this second visit. Server Amit took our orders and served us both times. He was friendly and efficient and answered our queries about items on the menu. 10 out of 10 for his service Its not that often that we get 5 excellent cooked and tasty meals with no issues in 2 visits

We ordered pulled pork & a 1/2 chicken and got a huge amount as well as a number of sides on top. It was all very tasty and affordable compared to some other restaurants around. The restaurant itself isn't large and service is kind of basic but we weren't expecting much more so we were quite happy to tuck in. Once criticism is the draft beer was quite expensive and served in tall plastic glasses - why not regular glasses?

Hit this place at lunch which turned out to be a good time as we were the only patrons there at that time. I had the four-rib plate with a side order of collards and cole slaw. The ribs were not only very tasteful but fall off the bone tender. Greens and cole slaw made for a great lunch. I asked one of my friends as he was leaving the area, what was his best meal here and said without a doubt the ribs at Lizzies.

I have so many great things to say about this place. First off thank you Bella for amazing service and being wonderful to my family! You are awesome! Lizzie's just served me the best brisket sandwich I've ever had. The flavors, the bark, the sauce and the toppings worked absolutely perfectly together. I cannot get over how wonderful this sandwich is. My side of baked beans were delicious as well. It paired well together. The pulled pork nachos are now this family's favorite nachos as well. They were perfect. The toppings were fresh, the pork cooked perfectly and their sauce brought it all together. I will say the ribs were not for us and the mac n cheese could use some help. I can't drop this to a four however because of two amazing menu items served by amazing service. Y'all gotta check this one out!

Definitely not worth the calories!!

I'm not sure where to begin. My husband loves BBQ and we're from Chicago and have eaten BBQ everywhere we travel. We were staying at margaritaville and decided to give it a try. We ordered s variety of dishes to try. First was the pigs in the blanket which was your mom's famous mini hot dogs wrapped in Pillsbury crescent rolls, except these were fried not baked and the dough was still under cooked. Next we tried the tator tots with brisket. There was so much cheese smothered on top that we couldn't find the tater tots and the brisket was over cooked and rather crunchy to the taste. Then we tried the ribs. My husband is a master rib chef. We own a $10,000 fire magic BBQ just for his ribs in our home outdoor kitchen. The ribs were extremely fatty. The sauce lacked depth and was overly sweet as candy. The ribs fell off the bone which some do love. I like t h at but my husband prefers chewier ribs. There was no redeeming quality to the ribs. Just smothered in tasteless sauce. The waiter we had was excellent, very attentive. The food was so bad we went next door to flower Cafe for a good meal. If you want outstanding ribs, this is not the place, let the journey continue.

Too busy to get in when we first arrived and host was a bit brusque but on our return 30 minutes later we managed to get a table and service was excellent. Food was delicious, not a huge range but everything sounds tempting. Chips were delicious. 100% would go again, possibly on this trip.

Surprisingly Solid BBQ

Located in a touristy section of the recently built Margaritaville hotel area, I was not expecting the BBQ to be as good as it was. I had the Beef Brisket sandwich which was good...not the type of melt in your mouth brisket but more like a thick cut roast beef style meat with solid flavor (mine was very lean). The BBQ sauce was pretty good as well, more of your dark, rich, molasses style sauce not overly sweet or savory. The sandwich on a white bun comes with choice of side order and very small plastic cup of Cole Slaw. The Cole Slaw was excellent! Wish the portion was larger of the slaw...may have to get slaw as the main side order if I choose next time. This time I got the fries which were pretty good, interesting style that were shaped like your traditional steak fry except they were flatter / thinner and pretty well seasoned. They have the good quality old style self serve fountain coke dispensers....not the new digital coke dispensers that never taste quite right in my opinion. Nice new clean building with open and airy booth and table seating (doors and windows were open on a beautiful day) and they also have a good amount of outdoor dining picnic tables which is key during COVID although it was so airy inside i would have felt comfortable eating inside as well (good to know in case of rain). The picnic tables are on the side of the building that gets full exposure to sun for most of the day so an umbrella or two or maybe sun shade type of thing might help, but not a complaint just a suggestion . Overall I would definitely go back again.

Take home Rack Good

Rack of ribs with two sides and cornbread was above average but very costly. The rack cut into three portions with 3-4 ribs per cut was rubbed and slightly sauced. It was NOT the gnawoff the bone type but instead a fall off type which when reheated required more sauce. The cornbread had corn kernels. The corn on the cob was overdone but the pork rinds made up for every short coming as they were special. Crispy crunchy the rinds were a real treat. The ten minutes it took to get takeout was fine and as promised.

The greatest barbecue and the greatest service!

This is a very busy Saturday night in February and every restaurant was overflowing. This barbecue place was also busy but the service was outstanding. The staff was crazy busy but they let us feel like we were welcome and that they would do their best to get us in. Once in, the food was fabulous and, of course, the service was still great. I would highly recommend this place in Orlando!

Dry and over cooked wings and ribs

Amazing green beans, but the wings and ribs were so dry I almost choked and had to throw a lot of meat away. Everyone is friendly here and the restaurant is cute, but they never should’ve let those wings and ribs leave the kitchen. I paid $34 for nasty, burned meat. The sauce was good, so I’d go back when it’s not busy.

Great food and service

First time I’ve ever had brisket… not a big thing in the UK…was really good! basically fell apart. My sister had a pulled pork burger and she said the meat was the same. Really good. Prompt server too, he was all over it with drinks refills and service. No faults at all. Thanks for the good experience

I am glad we didn't listen to all the mixed reviews. We took a chance and we found the food was good. We had quire the variety from the Brisket to Ribs to Pulled Pork and it was all prepared well and very tasty. The Pecan Pie and Brownie desserts were also big hits.

Wonderful taste

I ordered takeout this week. My order was ready with extra sauces when I arrived. The staff was polite and quick. The loin ribs were very tender and delicious. The sauce was thick and sticky sweet with a deep smoky flavor. The baked beans were good, but not great. The cornbread is good. Pass on the corn on the cob.

My husband and I visited Lizzie’s with another couple that wanted us to try it because we like bbq. Sure glad we did. The tater tot app with brisket or pork was delicious. We ordered both to share. That was plenty but then we had some wonderful ribs. They were fall off the bone. A little fatty but not too much. It was plenty of food for 4. Our server Jordan was the best. Attentive but not bothersome. Promptly refilling our drinks and polite without being chatty. This place is a gem! After dinner we had drinks out in courtyard with live music! Such a delightful visit!
