You know as soon as you come in that this place must be great because of the crown inside and outside. And it does not disappoint. An old school breakfast cafe that makes you feel right at home. Everything we tried was very tasty. We...would definitely go back!More

Good breakfast choice. While it has the typical mom and pop diner look outside, we were impressed with real, heavyweight dinnerware and silverware, as well as wonderful, inexpensive breakfast food. Hubby had the biscuits and gravy ... full of sausage, with just enough gravy to...hold it together - like you’d make at home! Get a half order ... even that is huge. (Be prepared - they do not accept credit cards.)More

Best biscuits and gravy, and hash browns we've EVER had in a restaurant. It would be GREAT if they were on the water, but the food, the service, the photos on the wall make it worth the trip.

Small local place. Is very good, the biscuits and gravy are the peppery style. The restaurant is cash only. ATM outback if needed.

OMG! Such a great breakfast and location! The staff is super friendly and location is clean! They followed COVID-19 regulations and our family felt very safe eating here! The food was delicious, being from NC our family was skeptical ordering the biscuits and gravy however...it was the best thing on the menu! I don't think there was a bite left on anyone's plate.More

We had breakfast here 2 days in a row because it was so good! We had egg sandwiches, parfaits, bagels, pancakes, and muffins and the special avocado egg sandwich on a croissant and everything was delicious! We will be back next year!

We looked up breakfast places in the area and we chose Stout's because they had a lot of choices and the prices looked really reasonable. The food was very good with very tasty home fries. My breakfast wrap that looked like $6.50 shot up to...$10.50 by the time you add on different items. It is $6.50 for just egg and cheese. Add meat and a few veggies and it got a little pricey. I thought .75 cents per veggie was a little steep, especially for a few pieces of onion that are practically disappeared as onions do after cooking. The wrap was very good though and nice size portion. Also the orange juice was fresh squeezed which is nice. I do recommend Stout's if you're in town!More

Friendly service, great food with reasonable prices. My hamburger was exactly how I asked for it. Take a break from driving to relax in this quaint cafe.

breakfast/lunch only here (6AM-2PM weekdays, 6AM-noon weekends), but very well done. Lisa Derek and Matthew do a great job in the kitchen. Their omelets are large, fluffy and rich with flavor. Breakfast and lunch specials are different but excellent. The home fries are nicely seasoned....For lunch, the special are great. Derek made an excellent chicken cordon bleu last week, and simple standards like sloppy joes, open faced turkey or roast beef with gravy, burgers and pork tenderloins are made to perfection. There is usually a soup and a dessert (try the banana pudding if they have it). Even the to go orders are made with extra attention to detail. Derek packed my sandwich "de-constructed" so that the bun and the chips didn't get soggy...a little thing that made a big difference Sarah is an awesome server, whose high level of efficiency is only exceeded by her friendliness. she has an ability to carry on conversations with all of her tables about diverse subjects, while serving everyone expeditiously. She also has a sense of humor which can help in the relaxed atmosphere. On days she isn't there, Amanda also provides excellent service with a smile, though that's currently hidden behind a mask. Tables are well spaced for COVID. The place has a 1960's lunchroom feel, with old time pictures on the wall, and pleasant simple decor. Stout's is a simple meal done perfectly from the kitchen to the service and the cool decor tooMore

One word, Disappointing! I usually go to the Pig or the Spoon when I come down. Figure I try this out for variety. Won't be back. Rant over.
