Stopped in for a quick bite before a dive at Captain Hook's... Lunch service was very fast and friendly. Fish sandwich was a good size and homemade coleslaw was good. If anything, the seasoning was a bit bland on the breading, but that was my...only problem.More

Such a pleasant surprise to stop here for a carry out dinner that included tasty fish options, conch chowder, and Keylime pie! The pie was the best I had while in Key West! Owners are originally from Wisconsin, as are we, which made this even...more fun. Many food choices, some with a German twist. Everything delicious. Owners and servers extremely kind and full of stories to share.More

We stopped here for lunch on the way home based on reviews. It did not disappoint. I had the black and blue mahi-mahi and my husband had the German fish sandwich. They have three German beers on tap and we both tried one. We had...been eating key lime pie from the beginning of our trip in Key Largo to Key West. This was our last stop and we ordered our last piece of pie here. We agreed Fish Tales’ key lime pie was the best of all. The place is nothing fancy but it met our expectations foodie wise and we recommend it.More

This little place is totally worth going to!! It is old school and not touristy at all. The food is basic but so good! And bonus, they have gluten free buns . My kids decided they needed to do key lime pie taste testing everywhere...we went and this was their favorite!More

It was just ok—good, not great or amazing—but supposedly other dishes are better. So maybe worth a shot. Another local shop owner (the nice folks at In Limbo Hippie Shop) recommended it as a local fave, so we decided to check it out. It also...had good reviews. We ordered the fried snapper (the catch of the day). It was good but definitely not snapper—maybe grouper, possibly mahi-mahi but not snapper. I was ok with this because I low-key would have preferred fried grouper, fries and tartar sauce (which is what it seems I ended up getting). It was a little under-seasoned but good enough. My friend, however, was disappointed as he was expecting and paid for snapper. He got the black beans and rice and was underwhelmed (flavor and portion wise).More

Low key awesome. No frills. But a local dive that doesn’t look like much but hits a home run where it mattered with great service and great food. Conch and calamari were tasty. No complaints from this crowd

Delicious. Got the Bavarian Mahi sandwich. Love the Cole slaw (it's southern sweet). But the key lime pie is the best I've ever had.

Order at the window and sit with a nice view of the water. Food was good and large portions. They were out of several side dishes but everything we ate was very good.

Great local joint to stop and eat. Fish sandwiches were great. Side dishes were freshly prepared. Key lime pie was good and did not have room for the cream brûlée cheesecake.

We looked at many menus and talked to many people before getting a slice of key lime pie from a Keys restaurant. We finally chose 'Fish Tales' to sample after being assured it was the best by many. It was said to be not too...sweet and with plenty of fresh lime. It did not disappoint! As a Florida native, I've seen way too many Key Lime Pies that are too chalky, too full of whipped cream, too eggy and many that are waaay too sweet. From our perspective, they can always have a little more lime, but this one was fabulous (one of the best i've had) and we came back and bought the whole pie!More

offer a gluten free bun, so any sandwich can be served on that. Have salads also, grilled fish or chicken....
