The first time I visited the Barracuda Grill was 15 years ago, and it's a place I've never forgotten. When I returned to the Keys with my husband and daughter earlier this month, I looked to see if they were still in business, and noticed still highly rated. We went to check it out. Fabulous. The duck was amazing (my... More

Best service in Marathon! Steph took care of us and she was a 10. Speaking of 10 we were 10 people and Steph never missed a beat. Always packed but they get it done fast and just right. Good wine list and interesting menu.

Rated as one of the best on the Keys but trying too hard to be the best. Really nice set up but everything is either too hot, too rich etc. Very good if you want to be treated but not worth the extra compared to the alternatives

This was our final dinner in Marathon after spending 2 weeks here. Katia was our server and she was really great. In fact, all the servers and the hostess seem to work in unison, helping each other out and doing their best at making every customer happy. We have not seen this in many other restaurants in the area so... More

This place is a secret!!! You do not notice it when you drive in front of it but it worth trying it! They have the best shrimp and calamari in a hot sauce I ever had. It was spicy and just delicious. Even our kids loved it despite the hot sauce! Staff is very friendly. The chef is very good.... More

Danielle, our server, was a consummate professional and lovely in every way. We tried the escargot and Thai shrimp appetizers-both delicious and large portions. For dinner, my husband had the yellowtail, with a delectable and spicy mango salsa. The tuna had a delightful smokiness from the grill and I was impressed by the wide variety of lovely wines available, especially... More

This was a great choice for our last night in Marathon. The reviews are spot on. The food was great and service was better than you can expect in the numerous tiki bars in the area. The scallops and pesto were perfect. As with all of the keys you have to get by the funky Art Deco facades by this... More

I had a delicious yellowtail which arrived with a delightful dinner salad. Most dinner salads are anything but delightful. This salad had baby greens, Peruvian ruby peppers and a wonderful peppercorn garlic dressing. The yellowtail had a little heat which was tempered by the mango salsa. Well chosen, generously poured wines by the glass. Casey our server was very kind... More

We had an EXCELLENT Dinner at this restaurant and I highly recommend it. Make Sure to call for a RESERVATION since the place is small and gets Full very Fast.

Barracuda Grill is by far the most delicious restaurant in Marathon. Everything we've tried on the menu is amazing, especially the spicy calamari - it's a must if you like spice! The tuna was expertly seared and prepared to perfection. Even their meatballs are amazing! They also offer a fantastic selection of wine - we opted for Turnbull, which paired... More

Description
The original definition of a restaurant used to be: owners cooking for their guests and extending the personal touch to their time at the joint, serving great food, wines, beers and having personal conversations, time allowing. That's why they come back! And that's what we attempt to do every evening that we serve dinner. Our great servers get to know you and handle the conversation when we are frankly too busy to leave the kitchen at times. After 22 years of service, I think we are going to make it!! Thank you to all that have graced our little spot over years, thanks a million!! Lance and Jan Hill, Chefs/Owners (and by the way, we love kids, have a few of our own, and provide a special menu just for them!) Please check Victoria Shearer's new book that just came out: Florida Keys & Key West Chef's Table, to grab a recipe or two :) Our menu is updated and printed daily. As a side note: we are not the least expensive restaurant in town, nor are we the most expensive. We provide an honest example of the expense to this site for your comparison (unlike some). And the menu is hung just outside the front door. We do not automatically add a gratuity as routine. In this life I've found, you truly get what you pay for. At Barracuda Grill we respect that adage, respect your business and attempt to earn it every night we offer service (Wednesday thru Saturday). PS. We are in the twilight of our cooking careers and look forward to serving you very soon!
