We ate at the barracuda Grill last night. We started off with the shrimp and squid. It was amazing. She ordered the prime ribeye and I got the yellow tail. We like to split our entrées and this was the perfect split. The chef is fantastic. Stephanie is an excellent server! We highly recommend this restaurant.

Here we go! This is the second review I have ever posted for a restaurant, ever. Lo and behold, it is for the same establishment. Marathon, in the Florida Keys, is home to the most outstanding restaurants in the Florida Keys, if not in all of Florida. One dining experience stands alone: Barracuda Grille. The food is a-may-zing. From the... More

Thank you for the second review of Barracuda Grill and the second review of your entire life. Trip Advisor will give you a star or something soon :) I am aware of your birthday in February (perhaps the 17th) and will most certainly have a table ready for you. This restaurant is great when you want to treat yourself (or someone special) to a great night out. Lance and Jan, the owners, create a new menu nightly that is full of local seafood and steaks. We always have the most courteous service and my husband always saves room to their outstanding desert menu.

I went there with three friends last Saturday evening. They open at 5:55 pm now for winter time but when we got there at 5:45 there were already people seated. The wait staff was prompt and friendly. One person ordered the Edamame beans which she shared and were very good. The pods seemed to be fried and and had great... More

We came on the reccomendation of a freind. We were greeted by Lance one half of the ownership and a pleasure it was. The table had a fantastic malbec paired to perfection with the best lamb chops I've ever had. The sauce was so succulent you just can't get enough.....a hint of raspberry...a bit of maple syrup maybe and I... More

We dined at Barracuda grill during our trip to the Keys. I was excited to try it based on the reviews and menu! I was hoping for a better experience but I would try it again. The calamari and shrimp appetizer are listed as spicy & we love spicy food, however after one bite my lips were numb. Way too... More

We hadn't been back to Barracuda Grill in a while, & so we went on Saturday night. Lance did not disappoint! We ate a selection of starters: spicy calamari & shrimp, sautéed cheese, snails & portabellas & a house salad. It was more than enough food - we took about 1/2 of it home - & it was all delicious.... Thank you for that great review! It seems my name keeps coming up and that's fine, but the real backbone of the restaurant is Jan my wife. She was formally trained at the Culinary Institute of America, many years ago. I on the other hand attended another school: the school of hard knocks at several restaurants all over the place.... A visit to the Keys is never complete without a dinner at Barracuda Grill. The service is excellent (thank you, Katie) and the food is to die for! Better than any restaurant in our hometown of Philly. We visited on a rainy windy evening, but the food, atmosphere and overall experience made the gloomy weather disappear. Great wine list and... Very impressed with the waitress staff and the food was incredible. We went with our 3 children 10, 9 and 3 and everyone had a wonderful meal. My son even won a drawing contest that they have on the children's menu and got a free desert which made him feel pretty special. My wife had the Snapper which was delicious.... More

The original definition of a restaurant used to be: owners cooking for their guests and extending the personal touch to their time at the joint, serving great food, wines, beers and having personal conversations, time allowing. That's why they come back! And that's what we attempt to do every evening that we serve dinner. Our great servers get to know you and handle the conversation when we are frankly too busy to leave the kitchen at times. After 22 years of service, I think we are going to make it!! Thank you to all that have graced our little spot over years, thanks a million!! Lance and Jan Hill, Chefs/Owners (and by the way, we love kids, have a few of our own, and provide a special menu just for them!) Please check Victoria Shearer's new book that just came out: Florida Keys & Key West Chef's Table, to grab a recipe or two :) Our menu is updated and printed daily. As a side note: we are not the least expensive restaurant in town, nor are we the most expensive. We provide an honest example of the expense to this site for your comparison (unlike some). And the menu is hung just outside the front door. We do not automatically add a gratuity as routine. In this life I've found, you truly get what you pay for. At Barracuda Grill we respect that adage, respect your business and attempt to earn it every night we offer service (Wednesday thru Saturday). PS. We are in the twilight of our cooking careers and look forward to serving you very soon!
