In our first visit to the island 4 years ago we gave this place a try and fell in love with it immediately. Now, in our 4th visit we keep our highest opinion about this restaurant. It sis a perfect place to start a lazy vacation day with breakfast here, and the choice of dishes are plenty. We highly recommend... More

The Hungry Tarpon at Robbie's Reef is something to experience. There is often a lengthy wait for a table but you can buy small fish on the dock and feed the LARGE tarpon while you wait. Just be careful because they will bite your fingers! If that is not interesting to you, pass the time checking out the huts with... More

We enjoyed our lunch twice at this bar/restaurant. Both times were fun and food was good. The second time we brought our catch from a fishing party.

At first the atmosphere was great, we could watch the people feeding tarpon at Robbie's. I had a trailer trash bloody mary, which was pretty good. It has bacon, green beans, a shrimp, 3 stuffed olives; almost an appetizer itself. My husband had a watermelon mojito but didn't care for it. I was looking forward to the blackened hogfish sandwich,... More

The food was awesome at this restaurant. We came here after our snorkel trip and feeding the fish. The bummer was they were closing at 8:30 and they seemed to rush us along to get done. We would go back just a little earlier I guess.

I'm happy to hear that you had a good time! I'm sorry that you felt rushed in anyway. Our restaurant doesn't close until 9 pm, seven days a week. Please come back and join us again! More

My husband and I stopped on our way to Key West. We follow our gps but even when we arrived we were not sure we were at the right place. The reason? The restaurant is tucked away. The food was delicious and the staff very attentive. We started with shrimp cocktail, super fresh! Then we continued with a sandwich of... More

One of our favourite places to eat in the Keys for lunch. The shrimp tacos are great, the bloody marys and fun, and to top it off, you get to watch people screaming as they try to feed tarpon from the dock next door and the tarpon jump up. What's not to like?

My partner and I visited (ostensibly to see the tarpon) on a busy lunchtime. We didn't have to wait too long for a table and the staff were friendly. Three stars because although the food was good (we had a tuna sashimi salad and a shrimp sandwich) it wasn't amazing, and it's fairly expensive for lunch.

We stopped and ate here after our snorkeling excursion. We sat at a table about 3ft away from the ocean and lived the view. From this vantage point you can watch people feed the tarpons on the dock. Service was a little slow, but the restaurant was busy. The trailer trash bloody mary was pretty good and almost aerved as... More

Description
In the Florida Keys you'll find this old Keys-style marina and fish shack "somewhere on A1A." A true conch atmosphere with many tasty delights, here in this Florida Keys restaurant you'll find yourself indulged in the Caribbean-inspired cuisine, the compassionate people and old Keys tranquility that is the Hungry Tarpon restaurant in Islamorada. The building has been standing since 1947 and with a home like Robbie's of Islamorada, plus a fascinating history, it all makes the Hungry Tarpon a part of the tradition since 1976. Enjoy dining on our bayside deck with tiki torches lighting up the night. Relax with friends over our fabulous appetizers and watch the boats come and go. Stroll our open air shops then wander to our sandy beach, melt into one of our bayside lounge chairs and let the sea air wash away the rush of the day.
