Took over an hour for orders for 4. Wasn't very busy so not sure why. Server checked on us once after the food was delivered.

What a surprise this place was and full of atmosphere . Great watching families having fun feeding the fish and being shown how to gut and clean fish they caught. A family next to us had their catch cooked to their specification which is awesome . Our meal was lovely, portions large and sadly couldn't finish it. I had Mahimahi... More

First time having hogfish and it was delicious. The atmosphere was a cool outdoor area overlooking the water and people feeding the Tarpon. We would go again.

The only thing this restaurant had going for it was the water view. Food was cold, from the fries to the clam chowder , and wait staff was unprofessional. Our waitress picked up one of the dressing cups to see if it was tartar sauce or ranch and then proceeded to smell it. After determining that it was tartar sauce... More

Great local Key West hang out. Excellent food as well. Staff was friendly and helpful. Shopping is good at the craft market and Tarpon are definitely worth seeing.

Traveled with my adult kids to Key West and stopped at the Hungry Tarpon for lunch. Would definitely return. Their bloody Mary's are almost a meal by itself!

Ate at the Hungry Tarpon on July 4th. The catch of the day I ordered wasn't tasty. It was a whole fried fish. And apparently when they say "whole" they mean it. Beside the guts and the scales of the fish, NOTHING else was removed lol! But that's fine with me. It could be seasoned better. But the seafood pasta... More

Our whole fried fish is a fried fish served whole, as applied by its name. I apologize if it wasn't appealing to you, but most of our guests find it quite tasty! I'm glad you enjoyed your pasta! More

Always stop in either coming or going through the keys. A really neat place. Very very busy with the holiday weekend. Daughter has the cheese quesadilla and thought it was very good. My wife and I each had the grilled mahi and Cole slaw. Very well done. Always great tasting slaw and the mahi was perfect. Empty plates all around.... More

Decided to get a bite to eat after feeding the tarpon at Robbie's. The Bloody Mary had a great presentation but lacked flavor. I wasn't a big fan of the cucumber vodka and it didn't have any kick to it(we had to add a lot of pepper and Tabasco to it). We ordered the smoked fish dip and Thai fish... More

I apologize you were not happy with your experience with us. All of our seafood is served fresh in order to provide the best taste experience for our customers. Our waitresses/waiters are trained to provide the best service possible and anything below perfection is unacceptable. Come back and see us again, I promise you won't be disappointed. More

Description
In the Florida Keys you'll find this old Keys-style marina and fish shack "somewhere on A1A." A true conch atmosphere with many tasty delights, here in this Florida Keys restaurant you'll find yourself indulged in the Caribbean-inspired cuisine, the compassionate people and old Keys tranquility that is the Hungry Tarpon restaurant in Islamorada. The building has been standing since 1947 and with a home like Robbie's of Islamorada, plus a fascinating history, it all makes the Hungry Tarpon a part of the tradition since 1976. Enjoy dining on our bayside deck with tiki torches lighting up the night. Relax with friends over our fabulous appetizers and watch the boats come and go. Stroll our open air shops then wander to our sandy beach, melt into one of our bayside lounge chairs and let the sea air wash away the rush of the day.
