Off the Hook is a welcoming and roomy restaurant. Our party of 6 was warmly welcomed and since we were early for our reservation we were offered to sit at the roomy bar. We made a reservation on a Thursday night but probably did not need it. Great beer selections and very nice wines reasonably priced and we ordered two bottles to share. We each ordered different entrees and everyone was extremely pleased with their choice. Two of us had the personal pizzas which were hand made. One pizza was with lobster and the other Greek with lamb. I ordered a house salad and it was not your typical house salad. Very fresh greens piled high with fresh trimmings. The lobster mac and cheese was delicious and served over a slice of brie cheese. Fish tacos were excellent! I look forward to returning for another wonderful dinner!

Off the Hook was good when it was in it's tiny place, but now that they have the opportunity to stretch their legs, it's even better! More room means more tables and now they take reservations. The staff are very friendly and helpful without hovering. The atmosphere is fun and funky and feels like the old Key West restaurant that was once there. Good red Sangria with just a bit of fizz.
We had the Mexican chowder, it was very tasty and full of goodies and was nicely spicy. We then had the Tuna Poke-excellent and fresh, the different and excellent Cauliflower Buffalo spears with blue cheese sauce. The Cauliflower was done like wings with loads of Tabasco Sauce and then fried. Tender and crispy. Different and good! We tried the duck bacon. "OK"...not my favorite, but still good. The Brussels sprouts with a spicy dipping sauce were also very tasty and not limp. We did not have any full entrees but they sure look good! The deserts looked innovative and will try those next time too. All in all, the atmosphere, service and food all add up to a great meal and experience. And, surprisingly inexpensive! Glad they have expanded!

Four of us for a seafood dinner tonite. Restaurant is unassuming from the outside. There is patio seating, restaurant/pub inside.
Sat in the back,asked to turn down the music.
Drinks and appetizer are ordered. 3 alcoholic and 1 lemonade. Seafood deviled eggs.
Not along wait for our food. 2 hogfish sandwiches, 1 shrimp burrito and shrimp tacos. Deviled eggs are scrumptious! Hogfish sandwiches come out fresh and hot. Love those shiny brioche buns! Not soggy. Plantains taste like dessert! Shrimp burrito is tasty also. Tacos are just a bit average.Brussel sprouts are drizzled with spicy sauce.
We enjoy our food and order the Key Lime blueberry mint pie for dessert. Yummy!
Good food and good service. So worth it!

We have been dying at Seaside Cafe on the other end of town and asked the waiter the host and the bartender what their favorite restaurant would be. They told us about off the hook. We are very impressed how friendly the staff was and how amazing the food was especially the pork belly and the dessert which I believe is blueberry cream pie they also gave us water for our dog. These are our two new favorite restaurants. All the staff was very friendly. The drinks were wonderful.

It was my birthday, and friends of ours that live in Key West took me and my boyfriend out for the celebration. This was our third stop and we had drinks and appetizers. Fried green tomatoes with shrimp on top and eggs with shrimp on top. Our friends ordered that and the eggs were a little too funky for me with shrimp but the fried green tomatoes with the shrimp was awesome. There was a cool lady playing guitar and singing and she wished me a happy birthday and then sang happy birthday later. SO nice.... We sat outside on the patio with our two toy poodles and it was really nice out there. We will definitely revisit on our next trip.

I met the owners at a Happy Hour on one of their rare days off. They found out I was a Veteran and gave me a coupon for 10% off to try their restaurant. I went the next week. They have a great Happy Hour menu for food and drink. On Tues and Thursday they have live music in the courtyard. I never went for dinner but the place was always full and folks told me the food was great. I can vouch for the lobster pizza as being truly yummy and it has tons of real Maine lobster on it. Needless to say, I visit it once a week and have never been disappointed. Great staff, great people. Thanks Patty and Sophia!!

Our first visit to Off the Hook was so incredible. Our server, Juan, was so helpful and offered wonderful service. We can’t wait to come back and recommend to others. We ordered the Lobster Mac-n-Cheese and the Pork Belly scallops, recommended by our server, and they were both delicious. The atmosphere was the perfect touch we were looking for in a more upscale experience then you typically get from a restaurant on Duval. Highly recommend.

Great service and awesome atmosphere. The outdoor patio was perfect. There was a young lady performing live music which was lovely! The fish dip was really good. Got the lobster Mac and cheese based on all the reviews but it was a little over cheesed for me - tasted great but couldn’t eat too much because it was so rich. My boyfriend got the scallops and pork belly which was amazing! He was a little bummed there was only 3 small pieces for $32. The vanilla bean brûlée cheesecake was INCREDIBLE! I’d come back just for a few slices of that.

I wanted to get a few items to eat at a happy hour and was pleasantly surprised at good proportions and prices. They have 2 different times for HH and the staff was friendly. The locals love this place for great food and decent pricing. I agree!!

And unexpected pleasure! While waiting for a bus across the street we went into off the hook to use the restrooms and have a cup of coffee. The waitress was very friendly and provided us with some information about the restaurant. We went back for takeout dinner one evening. The lobster rollSandwiches were exceptional. The waitress had told us they use Maine lobster and Florida shrimp. We highly recommend this restaurant for others and would certainly go back when we visit Key West again.

This place was great! Went for happy hour on a Saturday. The happy hour menu was pretty nice. Got chicken tenders and duck bacon, both very tasty. The sangria from the happy hour is $4 for a nice size drink (red one particularly was our favorite)... After those got shrimps, Brussels sprouts and green beans (the last one was the weak point). Service was excellent!

The menu is interesting but the execution isnt quite there. The food was just OK. cocktails were good and the service was good. prices are slightly higher for what they serve. Ordered the special lobster pot pie which had 60% corn 30% cream 5% veg and possibly 5% lobster? the scallop and pork dish was a let down. the scallops were fine but the pork belly was tough and dry. its all skewered onto a fried tomato which doesnt make any sense conceptually and the dish doesnt taste good cohesively. the flavors clashed on the dish. Food could have been a lot better... might need a new chef

Well blow me down Sally. A local going around bashing all the local establishments in a pandemic. I feel privileged to be in the 3 star category and Santiago's, Matt's, BO's, Duetto's etc.. Maybe focus on the positive during this crisis and help the local business out. That is ONE HUMAN FAMILY. Oh and by the way there was an 8oz lobster tail in all the Pot Pies made to order. Maybe you were to busy writing a review and missed it. Also ummmm If I fire myself , the Chef, there would be no owner.

This was probably the worst meal we had on our trip. Despite being hyped as a Trip Advisor recommended restaurant it was pretty awful. The staff was ambivalent. I accidentally made a reservation for 4 instead of 5 and they gave me a hard time, making sure I knew they were doing me favor by accommodating. Made us wait an additional 20 minutes. The restaurant was virtually empty! The food was terrible. I had the catch of the day which had no flavor and was slapped on a plate with a handful of tater tots. The stone crabs that they hype were average at best. Also, this restaurant is on the outskirts of town. Its a walk from duval/downtown. I'd pass on this one.

We ate at a few top-rated places in Key West, but Off the Hook Grill was our favorite, hands down! We made reservations just to ensure we did not have to wait—many other restaurants do not take reservations and you wait 40+minutes during peak dining hours... The dining room is not huge, the place was busy but not overrun with folks.
The staff was friendly, the menu robust, with a good range of specials, and the atmosphere was not meant to be touristy (it was clean but you did not feel like they were trying too hard to get folks in).
The food was excellent! The calamari steak was delicious, could have had two more and called it a night!
The specials were yummy! Our food was cooked to perfection and served in quick order.
All around a great dining experience.

We started off our meal with the ceviche which was one of the reasons for choosing this restaurant. Everywhere in key west seemed to be out of conch salad so we were happy we found It here! It was so good, def a must try! I had the fish tacos and they were very good as well. My husband had the hogfish and its was good. This place def beat out all the other restaurants we went to. We tried the conch republic and schooners the last two nights before we left and were sadly disappointed and wished we would have returned to off the hook! So many cool things on the menu my husband loved the drop peppers that were a cool touch to many items!
