We were going to get crepes to go, but were harassed by the older waitress about taking masks off AT the bar, then proceeded to ask us "what are you doing" after we had already say down. We proceeded to immediately leave before I ended...up raising my voice, and putting this rude self righteous waitress back in her place. DO NOT GO HERE. AVOID AT ALL COSTS BECAUSE YOU WILL BE TREATED EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFULLY.More

After my husband and I left and went elsewhere for breakfast (just down the street; lovely place and service) and I had calmed down, I was planning to just let this go. I mean, why would I want to revisit such an unpleasant encounter? As...we were eating, however, my husband pulled up many other reviews that pointed out the “rude waitstaff” at Banana Café and I decided to add in my more recent experience in the hopes of saving other happy, relaxed tourists this type of morning-souring interaction. Initially we were thrilled as we sat down, as we’d been looking for a place that served crepes, having had some delicious ones the previous morning on the other side of town. I ordered a veggie crepe and asked if I could sub out Swiss or Cheddar (both are elsewhere on the menu) for the goat cheese. As I have limited word count here, the bottom line is the server refused my request as she didn’t think vegetables and melted cheese would taste good. She then threw the menus at the woman who brought our drinks, dramatically announcing that she “take us" before dramatically storming off. After I asked for a manager, which was refused, my husband overheard her saying, “I just want to f#&k her up.” If this is how you would like be to treated on vacation, by all means, have a go. With at least a half dozen similar restaurants within a half mile, you fortunately don’t have to.More

Just wanted to commend Dasha, Gigi and the rest of the crew for helping me and my husband when they definitely didn’t have to. I have vertigo and had been walking longer than usual when I tripped and ended up face planting into Duval Street...Saturday night. Most people surely thought I was intoxicated and just shook their heads. But these lovely people went out of their way to bring help and concern to strangers. Thank you for going above and beyond 🙏🙏More

We stopped by on a Wednesday morning and it was packed. We were seated pretty quickly on their outside patio which was very nice. I ordered the Belgian Waffle & Banana with coffee. Our waitress was very good, our food was tasty and delivered warm,...and our entire experience was positive.More

Yum! Get the eggs benedict. The key lime hollaondaise sauce is excellent. Getting a table on their little patio is pleasant as you can enjoy people watching. Go EARLY. Right at 730 and the vibe is nice and chill. Later by much and you'll be...waiting.More

We had no idea what to expect when we walked in but were absolutely blown away by the food. Curried chicken salad sandwich and tuna sandwich were both incredible, wonderful baguettes supported ample servings and thoughtful sides. May go back for breakfast tomorrow!
