Great service, awesome food and amazing views. Despite the virus scare the service was great and the food was awesome. We have 3 small children and they enjoyed the views of the boats coming in and leaving while waiting for food.
went to the tower bar and saw lost if open tables. the sign said to be wait to be seated. server was just coming by from another table and we asked if we could just sit atbthe closest table. she said to wait. 10 minutes...later and still standing in the sun and the tables still open - we left. downstairs hostess was as disinterested. expect had we stayed for lunch the service would reflect the same poor attitude.More
The only disappointing part of Turtle Kraals was the hostess. Didn't even acknowledge us when we came up to her station. Didn't say anything when we sat down. Just dropped off menus. Very rude. Another group of people came in right afterwards and they commented...how unpleasant she was. Maybe a bad day...Regardless, food was good. Server was very good.More
We stopped in from a bike ride to grab a drink and stayed for several (always a chance of that in Key West!). Surrounded by tourist traps this one draws locals and frequent KW visitors. Hold out for a roof top seat. We only had...the shrimp but saw everything from salads to burgers around us and it all looked yummy and with large portions.More
Average food, terrible service. Really, don’t bother coming here... server is running like a headless chicken. Food served without bringing cutleries. We waiting over 20 mins to get someone’s attention. Food was cold by that time. Order was missed too. I left the restaurant still...hungry.More
The same folks own this place as the Half Shell and the menu is similar. The service does not compare to the quality of attention you receive at the Half Shell. The Tower Bar is unique but again the service was slow.
We have been going to this place for years. Today we went and it has changed. Very slow service. The ceviche was terrible, the shrimp were partially frozen, the chips were crumps and broken and a little stale. $60.00 for junk. I hope they get...a manager that knows you can’t just put out this type of food and survive even in Key West, with so many tourists. Eat elsewhereMore
I have often believed that if you start a meal with a potent drink (or another enhancer), you will write a favorable review on this site. This is not true. Despite the house specialty drink (a lime margarita) which was magnificent (2 will have you...care about little else) the food was uneven. The menu was classic bar food with an emphasis on seafood. The fish and chips were greasy, while the fish sandwich had a healthy crispness and consisted of a thick slab of delicious seafood. Be sure to substitute sweet potato fries for the mediocre regular fries. The service was well above average even though most tables were filled (try to sit on the 2nd -floor deck if available-panoramas of the harbor and sunset are special). Like most eateries in the area, food and drinks were overpriced. Overall, a margarita (or two) followed by a fish sandwich will be your best bet (even for dinner).More
I love going for happy hour because most apps. are half off. Also at that time is the sunset... If you sit in the tower bar then you can watch the sun set and watch all the boats leave for the sunset cruises. The food...is very good and the staff is very hardworking. Very much a blue collar bar.More

I think there were vegetarian dishes on the menu, but not sure about vegan. The staff seemed ready and willing to help with menu items, but it wasn't crowded when we were there and they were not pressed. I'd suggest a quick telephone call to them. I have no doubt they would be able to direct your party to appropriate items on the menu.
