This place is just 'out there', but in a funky & cool way. It's a corner located Fish wagon that has grown to now have covered and outdoor seating. Be prepared to share your table with others, and you'll certainly be sharing it with the Roosters. The fish is cooked fresh and is stunning and very cheap. They serve beers, but the Key Lime home-made lemonade is perfect for a hot day.We had the Tuna tacos and the Mahi sandwich and both were wonderful. service is fast, and this is just such a cool place to spean an hour over lunch.

Came here one night after a long day when we didn't feel like dawdling at a restaurant and essentially were just looking for something cheap to eat. There is a lot of room to sit once you've ordered and the no-frills vibe is kind of cool - driftwood beach hut meets antique junkyard. The menu said "sandwiches" or "LUNCH plates," so I ordered the mahi mahi sandwich thinking the plates were not offered since it was dinner time. The sandwich was yummy (fish was cooked in a delicious sauce of tomatoes and onions) but too bready. Ordered a side of the "homemade coleslaw" which was totally disappointing and seemed like any basic coleslaw that a clam shack would serve. I later heard the cashier tell a customer that he could order the fish plate instead of the sandwich - had I known this I would have ordered the plate which would have probably been more filling for dinner. Restaurant should change the wording on their menu to avoid this confusion. Overall I'd say this is a better spot for lunch than for dinner.

Parking in Key West, even in COVID times, is a bit challenging. So finding this spot right next to a large public parking lot was perfect! Everyone says it is overpiced, but isn't everything in Key West? It wasn't great value, but everything I tried (including the conch fritters) was top notch... you could tell it was very fresh and flavors/textures were excellent. I'd come back!

ordered 2 fried fish sandwiches for my son and myself. asked if fries or chips came with it as their menu doesn't show any details (including prices). the girl asked where are you from? I am from Key West so she said fries were complimentary for locals. when my son went to pick up the sandwiches he was charged almost $50 (including tip) for 2 very small (very good just very small) sandwiches and some very old burnt and greasy fries. I have lived here my entire life and used to to go BO's when Buddy Owen was actually there and this was no where near what i expected. needless to say we wont be going there again.

Remembered this to be a good fish sandwich so we went back on this trip. It cost $20 for a mediocre fish sandwich with no frys or potato chips. So many better places that cost less. Will take B O's off my list.

Stopped here for dinner on the recommendation of a good friend and was happy we did so. From the outside, it looks like a little hole in the wall, but that is part of the charm. Once you step inside, you appreciate its kitchyness of the fish wagon concept, with old license plates and stickers all around. You order yourself from a limited menu of mainly seafood options (grouper sand which, fish tacos, cracked conch sandwich, shrimp tacos, etc) the drinks (soda and a killer key lime-aid). The workers in the wagon were super friendly, the food was fresh and the quality perfect (I got the cracked conch sandwich and it had a ton of meat in it while my wife got the grouper sandwich in fresh Cuban bread) would strongly recommend if you want a quality meal at reasonable prices (which we did, having been severely disappointed in the Conch Republic Restaurant two days prior).

We stopped here after a lunch snorkeling adventure when we were quite hungry. There are SO many restaurants in Key West, it's hard to choose one. It's especially hard to find one that sets itself apart from the others. This has a super fun/funky vibe. You order at the window, and take a seat outside in front of a fan to escape the heat. Cute baby chickens appeared at our feet, because hey, it's Key West. We got two ice cold bottles of beer and were quickly served the best grilled fish tacos I had on my trip! The tortillas were grilled so they were crunchy with melted cheese, plentiful toppings; cool, crunchy, saucy. The fries were also very good. Ketchup served in an individual cup (Covid friendly). I highly recommend!

Wow. Never had Conch this tender and flavorful. My wife and daughter are from Turks and Bahamas and they have had Conch since childhood. Best they've ever had. The place is build like a cast away shack with no doors. The chickens come in off the street and eat whatever falls on the ground. I absolutely love this kind of dining, kind service, picknic, camp out, survivor and beach wilderness experience all wrapped with fantastic seafood fare.

Stopped in for a quick bite at about 9pm bc most everywhere was closing early due to COVID-19. $15 for a fried fish sandwich and that didn’t even include fried and a drink. Daughter had the chicken tacos which were good ($10) and wife had fried shrimp platter. I’ve had better shrimp down here than this. Boys had hamburgers and they were pretty good. Total bill for family of six was right at $100.

Granted all tastes aren't the same but I was very unimpressed by the fried grouper sandwich. It was a square piece of breaded fish on a cold bun. The fish looks like you buy from Mrs. Paul's or Groton's. And the place itself is way beyond "tacky island sheek". For me, there are many better seafood restaurants than this one in Key West.

Best fish tacos I’ve ever had. We got the fried fish version. The little cups of guacamole and salsa were yummy. The corn tortillas have the tacos some extra special flavor. I was dying to figure out what made the tacos so flavorful. Couldn’t figure out what out was but they were awesome. Often fish tacos can disappoint but not these! And we got a lime soda. Amazing. And the young hits at the counter were charming and friendly. Would return in a heartbeat. Originally someone recommended half shell raw bar restaurant and we walked out of there due to lack of organization and their inability to show is the full menu. Thankful to have come to this place instead.

Not much to look at but the food is fabulous! We had the mahi sandwich and burger and split French fries. Everything was delicious and fresh. Fries are fresh cut and cooked. Not much seating so be prepared to stand.

Gotta hit this for lunch anytime I’m in Key West! Has the tuna tacos and a fish sandwich. Fresh, tasty and a fun environment unless you don’t like chickens.....walking around while you eat. We just find that kinda fun.

Such a treat. We’ve ridden by B.O.’s for years on our bikes, but never stopped. A friend who eats lunch here at least once a week while he winters over in the Bight said, STOP, don’t keep passing it by - try it. So this visit we did. We found the fish sandwiches (one fried grouper, one grilled mahi) were very tasty - you could really taste the freshness of the fish, and the snappiness of the lettuce and tomatoes.. The coleslaw was also very good. Fun atmosphere, maybe a bit too rustic for some, but right up our alley.

We went to this place because it was highly rated and was a suggestion in my Key West travel book. But we were not impressed. Their special feature fried grouper sandwich was not tasty at all. It had zero flavor. The bun was so large and the coating had zero flavor. Could barely taste the fish. I will say that had the best conch fritters that we had while we were there. And their cut fries were very good. But $36 for a sandwich, a can of soda and an order of fries - not worth it. The vibe is definitely funky- we had our feet pecked a few times by a rooster. I am glad I tried it, but I don’t intend to go back.
