We dined at Seven Fish to get a good seafood meal while in Key West. Two people from our party ended up ordering the mahi mahi special. While the sauce was tasty, the fish was unfortunately quite bland. Focacia bread was very good, and the restaurant was flexible in customizing the kid's meal to personal preferences.

The food was fabulous. We had a crab cake that was mostly crab served with a garlic ginger sauce. The special of mahi-mahi was grilled to perfection served with a red pepper purée, potatoes and fresh steamed veggies. It also had a piece of focaccia bread We were disappointed in the new building. It was sterile, and looked like an upscale NYC restaurant. The old restaurant on Olivia street had so much charm. It is what we come to Key west for.

We dined this week at Seven Fish in Key West. Their current location is significantly larger than their previous spot. The new location has a modern flair, with a wall-size display of underwater scenes dominating the room. Unfortunately, as with the old location, the noise level is much too high. At times maintaining a conversation can be difficult. The staff is friendly and attentive. The smoked mahi appetizer was slightly dry but flavorful. The gnocchi with poached fish remains a solid choice. A snapper special was also well prepared. The rosemary focaccia that comes with the entrees was good, but was an odd flavor pairing with one of the entrees. A choice of breads would be more appealing. We found Seven Fish a good destination for fresh seafood. As with most Key West restaurants, parking is an issue- there are three parking spaces, otherwise the hunt for street parking is on!

We have been a patron of this restaurant for more an 10 years I had the shrimp scampi and my wife had the scallops. My pasta was overcooked and not prepared like previous. The Scallops were undercooked. A normal dinner for two with tip will be north of $100 and no longer the value. Pretty place but honestly I prefer the quaint original location. Too bad because this was one of our "go-to" excellent establishments...and too expensive to try again.

We were disappointed with Seven Fish. It seems like a great location that is also off the beaten track. The restaurant is fairly large and nicely appointed, but that is about it. The service is average at best, there were significant gaps between courses and more importantly the food was quite average. The mussels were inedible because of the white wine content as it appears they didn’t actually cook the wine, but just poured it in, we had to send it back. The crab cake was ok, but nowhere near as good as others we had in the area, the Mahi was simply grilled and acceptable, but certainly nothing overly exciting for the price. We had high expectations and they were certainly not met. I can’t recommend eating here based on our meal.

We had a Retirement Dinner here for my Husband. I made all the arrangements in advance. Marcie was wonderful. She handled everything. I had a party of 19. The table was in a great location. Room for everyone comfortably. Our reservation was at 7pm and they were ready for us. Olga was our Server. She was Outstanding!!! The food was delicious! Not one complaint from any of our guest. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thank you Marcie, Olga and staff. We give Seven Fish 5+ Stars and would highly recommend a meal or party when in Key West.

We have always loved this restaurant, we even used to go when it was at the old cool location. The new building was great and everything was even better than the old location until a month ago. We went twice in the last month to see if maybe it was just corona affecting everything but we got the real story on our last visit. What we loved about it is that is was smooth and wonderful from the moment we walked in the door until we left. We were treated great and they were pros. Now it is a cluster. They did not have our reservation right. It seemed like they had never seated a table. Food came out wrong and we had to wait for it to be remade. It was bland, but OK. But OK is not what we expect here. We asked the waitress what the heck was going on and she told us the owners had run off the general manager and the chef and the new people were just not good. She said she was looking for a new job, as are most of the employees there. Too bad, this restaurant used to be great. We will try again in a year. :(

We celebrated our anniversary on Sunday night at Seven Fish based on the recommendation of our walking tour guide, Richard, from Hidden Key West Tours (see our other review about them). Locals always know the best places and after we described the type of meal we wanted, Richard didn't hesitate to suggest Seven Fish. He was spot on! We had a fantastic experience from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. The space is modern and open and the food was fantastic. We started with the wild mushroom quesadilla (amazing upscale flavors for a simple and delicious dish) and the fish tacos. Both were excellent. For the main course I had the blue cheese gnocchi with fish. OMG that was the most decadent and heavenly dish ever. Not too strong on the blue cheese sauce but just perfect- lots of moist fish and the gnocchi was great- but it's the sauce that wowed me- I mean it was just wonderful. I did not think it could be topped, but my husband's sea scallops were just as wonderful. Huge, tender and perfectly cooked scallops. I guess they were diver scallops. My husband loved his dish and said the scallops were among the best he'd ever had. Carl was our server and took very good care of us for our anniversary. He was so kind and just made the entire evening fun. He brought us out a piece of strawberry cream pie for our anniversary with a candle. I truly didn't think we could eat another bite and we had not planned on getting dessert. Again, however, we managed to polish it off! It was light and creamy (thus the name!), but the chocolate crust gave it a kick of richness that blended beautifully with the strawberry cream. It was light but delicious. This was the perfect meal for our anniversary. We enjoyed it so much and we will definitely return when we visit Key West again!

My wife and I went in for date night, had the signature snapper dish and the grouper. Really, really good mix of flavors and the fish on both dishes was cooked perfectly. Our server Callie was absolutely phenomenal - super attentive, friendly, and she was able to answer every question we had without hesitation. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We went for our anniversary for dinner and it was the best meal in Key West! Shrimp scampi with asparagus over angel hair pats was spectacular as was their signature snapper with curry sauce. Service was amazing. They even gave us an anniversary slice of cake which was an added treat

We had a great meal as we finished our week long trip to the Keys to celebrate my 50th. We had crab cakes and the smoked Mahi for our appetizer. My husband had their signature Yellow curry Snapper served on rice with veggies I had the scallops served with mashed potatoes, puréed peas and sautéed spinach. We both enjoyed both the dishes. Dessert was key lime pie for me and key lime cheesecake w strawberries for the hubby. Great food modern peaceful atmosphere

We were tucked against a wall and barrier, due to COVID. The barrier was dirty, had food or something spilled on it. The table was not even and our drinks kept spilling, when mentioned they just put napkins under the leg but it was still not right. The waitress was unpleasant like she didn't want to be there. No personality at all! We asked if there were any specials, surprisingly there was! She just pointed to the sheet of paper on the table. We said this was our first time (no welcome!), can you recommend anything, we were told everything was good. I could of just served us because she was no help. For our dinner we stated with the tropical key west pink shrimp salsa had zero tropical taste and the chips were clearly Tostitos. The roasted red pepper and goat cheese salad was good, came with this freshly made herb bread. We shared the house made gnocchi, which again had zero taste and little to no mahi-mahi. The best part of our dinner was the bread. There are plenty of other restaurants to try. Skip this one

It was Valentines and they were busy, however it was a special occasion and was not as good as reviews indicated. Room was nice with dividers, so private and safe. Ordered a tuna roll, then a shrimp cocktail to start. Tuna and rice were mushy. Eat a lot of sushi, this was less than average. We requested pasta instead of potatoes, we were told no substitutions, maybe too busy with Valentines, but was the first restaurant that wouldn't make an easy change. Instead of our shrimp cocktail, our entrées arrived. I indicated we were not yet expecting entree as we were waiting for our shrimp cocktail. A different person came back with same plates and said our entrées were cooked. Basically too bad.. waitress came and apologized saying she missed adding to order. No manager came by, it was all on server. The NY Steak was maybe Choice. The curry snapper was outstanding. I would definitely have that again. Not sure we would return with so many other great Key West restaurants.

Our B&B host had recommended 7 Fish, but warned us it could be a little loud. She wasn’t kidding. But the meal itself was very good. The yellowfin tuna with curry sauce is marvelous. Just bring along some ear plugs.

Outstanding venue. Such attractive design of the building and the interior. Add incredibly capable and courteous service - Marissa rocks- then, every dish served to the four of us brought delight. Baby’s robust coffee complimented the perfectly balanced orange flan. Definitely a multi-visit destination.
