The Roost is one of those hidden gems that you sometimes find when you’re wandering around Key West. It’s a small bar, where the people are friendly, the drinks are interesting and reasonably priced, and, at least when Grubby is bartending, the atmosphere is fun...that make those finds so wonderful. If you’re wondering by on Fleming, stop in and have a drink.More

We wanted to stop for a drink but found Duval to be too touristy. We found this perfectly lit, pristine bar around the corner. The bar tender was a very well educated chef woman. She is talented with drink perfection. The food menu is high...quality too. Highly recommend this place for cocktailsMore

We stopped here Friday night and were greeted by Annette. My husband is not a hugh Moscow mule fan but when Annette has suggested he try it, he was amazed By the drink and not one bit disappointed. In fact he said it was one...of the best drinks he had in a long time. Her cocktails were the best in keywest.More

The Roost is a great small place to enjoy libations. It's not a huge corporate steel box-on-concrete place, but a warm and comfortable bar. The highlight of the experience is the bartender. Robin knew everything about being a barkeep. Watching her mix and even improvise...intricate drinks while interacting with the patrons was very interesting. We were watching a master at work.More

This place caught our eye when we stepped off Duval St. looking for a low key drink and snack. Annette greeted us quickly and immediately offered to make my pregnant wife a "mocktail". Without any more questions, she returned with a delicious and unique drink...that didn't taste like it was missing anything. The vibe was great and Annette's style of service was warm and a little "sassy", but in the best possible way, as if we were her regulars or old friends. If we lived in Key West, we'd definitely hang out here.More

This is a small venue just off of Duvall. We wandered in for a nightcap and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. They have a very limited selection of small plates, but the drinks are wonderful. The bar maid, Robyn, who prefers to be called a "cocktologist" was...wonderful -- friendly, funny, interesting. One can tell that she loves her job and cares about every drink she makes as well as the happiness of her customers. Don't miss this experience!More

Some friends & I stopped in to try this little bar out. The Mule on tap was perfect. I will definitely be going back.

We have been to The Roost numerous times. Annette has been our bartender and she is witty and friendly. If you like “mule” drinks theirs is fabulous! They have a good happy hour from 3 - 6 pm. If you sit at the bar there...is always fun conversation with other patrons. Cheers and have a great time!More

We went here upon advice from a friend and we were not disappointed. This is a quiet speakeasy type of bar that sells some food. The drinks were good and the bartendress was delightful. We could be romantic or chat with every at the bar....There are a couple of tables of 4 if you'd like to sit. I fully enjoyed the artwork.More
