Excellent view, but food and service weren't all that great. Social distancing was in effect, but shade was limited. Went on ladies' night, which was a plus, but our server forgot about us promptly, and it took a long time to order/receive our meal or...a second drink. In fairness, our server knew he'd forgotten part of our order and comped my partner his beer, but with things just reopening, we expected better service.More
I've been there a couple of times and both times the food was not great. As a restaurant owner myself I know how difficult it is to keep the food consistently good but as I look around at the employees I can tell their isn't...much management around.
No free lunch Jimmy. running a restaurant and being a NFL commentator does not work. Either roll up your sleeves or sell out to Marriott or someone who knows how to run a restaurant.More
I ordered the prime rib wrap because I know how good it is, it comes with a side and you can only choose from fries or an up charge for sweet potato fries. In the past you used to be able to substitute green beans...but I guess those days are over. My husband who is currently on a keto diet could only eat the chicken wings which were baked in the oven. Unfortunately they are completely covered in Rosemary which I thought tasted great but he hated and the focaccia bread that came with it was awful. Thin and dry and flavorless. We fed it to the fish. Service by Rogelio was OK but not great, wine by the glass was large and good value. The location is beautiful and the water was gorgeous to look at.More
We are a family that comes to this restaurant 4 and 5 times a week every time we’re staying in the keys, and our waitress Jazlyn was by far the best waitress we’ve had. Very attentive, personable, kind and helpful. The manager on duty was...also as attentive. The food and music are always wonderful but these two definitely made it an even more incredible experience. We will be sure to come back not just because we love it here but also asking for Jazlyn as our server!More
After being home bond for so long. This was very much needed. Great atmosphere, sun shining, nice breeze, food, service & live band - Southern Stampede. It was great to see AJ so grown up. We remember when he started w/ other bands.
Husband and I went for a late lunch. We sat outside. It was a nice atmosphere. We each ordered 1 of their specialty cocktails and they were both overwhelmingly sweet and full of artificial flavors. We each got catch of the day - blackened and...fried. At almost $28 each, they were both lacking flavor; came with underwhelming sides (limp fries for him and dry hard rice for me.) Presentation not good either - plastic plates and plastic utensils. Server was very nice I will say. I would not recommend this place other than maybe if you are going just for sunset and drinks.More
we go to key west a lot and this has always been our stop on the way home for lunch cause they are dog friendly. We stopped going because the service at the bar really sucked. We ended up having breakfast at our B &...B instead, before heading home. Could not do that this trip and decided to give it another try. That being said, the lobster mac and cheese I had was AMAZING!! SOOOO GOOD! But aside from one of the bartenders (FYI, bar is set up with two or three stools in an area, and 6 feet apart from the next setup) (young lady with her hair in a high bun), the service still sucks One bartender (guy) totally ignored us and pretty much didn't wear his mask most of the time he was making drinks. The other bartender (blonde chic who thought she was hot), also ignored us. We only got service when the bartender with the bun was around, and she spent a lot of time stocking up on supplies and running around taking care of things. The guy serviced drinks for the restaurant, the blonde chic did nothing but walk around and play with her hair. Hopefully our next trip to key west will allow the B&B to serve breakfast again. Only reason I gave this 3 stars was for the lobster mac and cheese, but without that, it would barely be worth two stars. Jimmy, you need to have a chat with your bartenders.....More
