I lived just outside of Orlando for years and now I'm in Seattle (long story), but I'm here exploring good times and great food. This place falls under the latter! Worth the 10ish minute wait. Wait staff was attentive and answered questions without hesitation. I ordered the Junkyard dog, complete with Dot sauce (ask!) and he ordered the special, crunchy buffalo fish sandwich, which was a huge plank of white deliciousness. That comes either mild or hot... go for the hot...you'll be glad you did. Ordered a side of onion rings and with the two beers, the total was just over $30. Tip the staff... they deserve it!

Open during the Corona Virus for Carry Out....and it's FANTASTIC!!!!

You can call in ahead of time, or stand outside with the fans blowing while you wait for your food. I loved my bacon cheeseburger, onion rings and waffle fries. I also loved the staff who worked there. Come now while there are no lines!

Great stop after a baseball game

We enjoyed a spring training baseball game on a Sunday at Roger Dean stadium. Being from out of town, we asked an usher at the ballpark for some suggestions where we could catch dinner, maybe seafood. He paused and said the best place was Dune Dogs! He said it is not fancy (correct) but they have great seafood and huge portions. He added that his wife also loves their ribs. We decided to give it a try and were highly satisfied! When we arrived at this casual open-air eatery it was full, with just a small wait line which they said would be about 15-20 minutes. We were called in exactly 20 minutes and were greeted by our server immediately. He answered our questions and gave us a couple of suggestions and placed our order. Our order was brought to us no more than 10 minutes later and I can say it was terrific with huge portions of fish and great tasting side dishes. The black beans and slaw were particularly good, the fish was fried perfectly crisp and golden color. The next time I'm in Jupiter I will surely put this place on my list!

Best Food, Service and Menu for a Casual Restaurant in Jupiter

Amazing selection and preparation of food. I have had 80% of the menu and have found everything to have outstanding flavor. I absolutely love to add a skewer of 5 blackened shrimp for 5$ as a side. Best chargrilled half pound burger. Blackened Bourbon Street Chicken or Shrimp. Clam and Shrimp dinners plus Monday is all you can eat Rib nite and Tuesday is two dinners for a special price. Staff is friendly, fun and hassles their butts off. I eat there 2-3 days per week. Beer and Wine and Ice Cream. Who can beat that. Quick in and out at counter for lunch with Mary!!!

Normally I give 4-5 stars to this eatery but my last two visits changed that. Early May we decided to try take out during the CORVID-19 crisis. The first takeout my order was ready in 10 minutes. It tasted good but the order was missing sides. The second takeout. Ready in 10 minutes but I arrived in 5. It gave me time to observe the preparation and cooking. None of the cooks was wearing a mask or gloves. They stood shoulder to shoulder in that tight kitchen talking together. Another person cutting up and prepping also had no mask on. Only the workers working the counter had masks on. This was a unhealthy way to follow the CDC guidelines. I felt unsafe eating their food. Plus the waffle fry’s were soggy. That was and is the last time I’m eating there.

Dinner Time Rib O Rama

Monday Nite all you can eat ribs and sides. Ribs are the best I've had. Very meaty. I eat here often. My favs are a skewer of blacked shrimp only $5 and Chicken Fiesta order it even if not on Specials menu.

Dog Days of Summer

This place ticks all the boxes for a friendly local favorite with good food and laid back Florida atmosphere that feels like a little beach bar even though it’s right next to a busy highway. We came for an early dinner, but later arrival will put your name on a waiting list. If the parking spots are full it’s OK to park in the food truck lot next door. Regulars grab the open seats at the bar. The blackened dolphin came with sides, I had waffle fries and grilled veggies. No, it’s not Flipper, it’s a tasty local fish. My companion ordered the footlong junkyard dog, but when the server accidentally brought the smaller version, she made it right by bringing a second one, which he promptly washed down with a frosty milkshake. Interesting beers on draft and cheerful service. Five stars for a place that has its own identity and gets it right. You will no doubt find us among the locals at the bar in the future!

Cheap and tasty but food quality is as well

Came here on friend recommendation. Friendly servers and quick turn around as well as low price makes this a local favorite. Fish and chips is Sway ( not Cod)out of Vietnam, which was somewhat slimy, was not very good but huge portion. For a quick bite or when on heavy budget this place is great!!!

Late lunch

I’ve been coming here for years when I visit my parents. Always so impressed with their efficiency and great food. I was a little hesitant to go this time as I became plant based. So, not much on the menu for me. However, packed even at 3:00 we sat at the bar. We got to see the cook, the runners, the whole kitchen staff and I’m even more impressed with their team work and the whole flow of how smooth they all are. Just one operation to watch between the chef cooking the fish, then prep work, the guy bringing out the extra ice, the busboys and someone making buckets of water with cleaning solution to wash the tables. Just an amazing place to visit.

Worth the wait

Monday night all you can eat baby back ribs! The service is great and the food is better. We always hit Dune Dogs at least once when we’re in town usually Monday night. Expect a wait and make sure to get your name on the list as soon as you arrive. We were told 35-40 min but were seated within 20-25 min.

Enjoyed my lunch special of a cup of soup and lobster salad roll for $8.99! Everything was delicious and my server was so friendly. Thank you to the family, who I don’t even know, that paid for my lunch today at Dune Dogs. I was so surprised when my waiter told me after they left. He said he was dying to tell me, but was sworn to secrecy until they left. On this grey day (for so many reasons including the weather) I have faith in people and their kindness.

Great "local" restaurant!

My family decided to try a local establishment on Monday, 7/5; we were a group of 6. We did have a bit of a wait, as it was busy, but the wait was not horrible. The menu has a variety... Burgers, hot dogs, seafood, etc. They also offer daily specials, which happened to be all you can eat ribs on this evening. Our orders ran the gamut... Burger, whitefish Reuben, clam strip dinner, seafood platter, and the rib special. Everyone enjoyed their food... My Reuben was incredible and my son said the AYCE ribs were fantastic! I can't remember our servers name, but it was a young man and he was great! Super friendly and on top of it. If you're in the area I would say to most definitely try it.

Good food at reasonable rates

We Really enjoyed Dune Dog Cafe. We ate there 4 times on Tuesdays when you can purchase 2 meals for $24.99. The food was excellent and the portions were very large. Be prepared for a wait, but the tables get turned around pretty quickly. This is a fun, casual, place with good food and a great wait staff.

Get There Early & Enjoy

We make sure to stop @ Dune Dogs whenever we are in Jupiter for an early dinner. Check the specials that are available every night. Dune Dogs also has Happy Hour Specials. My husband had a shrimp dish & enjoyed it. I had the Gorgonzola Salad topped w/ dolphin. Yum! Our friends had the dolphin dinner & 1/2 rack of ribs. No complaints. The grilled veggies were a hit. We started out w/ wings during happy hour. The sesame ginger were very different as well as tasty 😋 The restaurant is open so I usually take a sweater in case it cools off as the sun goes down. Parking is at a premium so get there early. Servers are very nice & everyone that works there says goodby & have a good night as you leave. Very casual, good food & good prices bring in quite a crowd.

Take Out is great too

Everybody knows Dune Dog has great food. Because of the current unpleasantness, it is ALL TAKEOUT. No surprise, the food is still GREAT. We had blackened Mahi Mahi dinners with grilled vegetables and potato salad as sides. (Of course the usual fries and rings are available.). I understand, no guarantee, that the usual Tuesday special is still being offered. See you there Tuesday!
