Husband and I are new residents in Jensen and we eat out every other day. I can guarantee you it’s not #1 restaurant in Jensen. People were nice and food was good (very expensive) but we felt like we were in grandmas house for a...tea party. Not only was the atmosphere super weird but there were so many Knick knacks in the place they can’t seem to keep up with the cleaning (cobwebs blowing in the wind in the rafters, dust on the flower curtain tie backs). Menu was different/scaled back from online and we couldn’t find anything we liked so we had two “small plates”, drinks and left. If you want #1 in Jensen go to Kyle Gs.More
Not only were two of us served meals that were not good, when we politely let our server know, she simple said "oh I'm so sorry about that" and walked away. In a good restaurant, a manager would have checked to see what the problem...was. Additionally, a large palm bug ran across our table AND a RAT scurried out from the bushes in front. After hearing this a friend told us that when she and her husband dined there, a RAT ran across the floor!!!More
I went with a group of co-workers for a celebration. The food, atmosphere, wine, and dessert were absolutely amazing! The bread, the spreads, olives were scrumptious. The desserts are to die for. We will definitely return.
My husband and I so enjoyed every aspect of our first visit. The setting and decor is quite delightful. Our server, Savannah, was professional and warm. The meals (elk and hanger steak) were exceptional. The presentation perfect in every way. Oh yes, don’t forget to...start your meal with the walnut sourdough bread!!! We will be back...again and again!More
This is definitely a dining experience. Wine only...a large assortment. Bread is served a half loaf or a whole loaf, homemade with three condiments . Very good...we took home 1/2 loaf. There are tapas sized small plates that you can share of many different appetizer’s....Entrees are full plates of things like steak, pork etc.....everything here is a la carte, even the bread. It is a
Very fancy menu....lots of sauces etc. very good food but what I call “fussy”. You pay for fussy too! Service is excellent....dessert was wonderful. Expect a large bill🍷Reservations are a must.More
After being away 25 years, we returned to enjoy our timeshare at Hutchinson Island, 3 miles away. Jessica was our knowledgeable and pleasant server. Restaurant building/converted home is more attractive now, so I commend the renovations over the years. Several items are excellent and very...artistically presented.
I recommend the pear and blue cheese salad with polenta cake, the lump crab cake on fried green tomato and onion ring on tomato reduction is extraordinary.
The New Zealand elk tenderloin with mashed potatoes was amazing and flavorful, strong marinated smoky flavor.
The crème brûlée is above average but more vanilla than Key lime. We had one glass of wine, three people with a bill around $200. Despite being relatively pricey we will always go back as we admire the higher aspirations of this small operation in a busy tourist culture.More
As wonderful a restaurant you will ever go to. We say the best restaurant is one that you can’t replicate the dishes at home. You can’t make this food at home. The flavors, the presentation, makes it a gastronomic sensual experience. Sharing your plates with...your companions will make sure you get to experience all of the ultimate flavors and tastes of this exquisite restaurant. Beautiful and romantic ambiance too. Must go to.More
While the menu is not overwhelmingly large, the items on it offer such variety that both your pickiest eater and your foodie guest will be delighted. The atmosphere is eclectic, yet cozy as if you were dining at a friend’s historic home. This is definitely...a place where food is appreciated by all who dine here. I ordered from the appetizer or small plate section. My onion ring topped crabcake was served over a fried green tomato which was atop a delightful carrot reduction with tiny dollops of butter on the plate’s edge. What a lovely extra level of richness the creamy butter added. Mixed greens and flowers adorn each plate and they are all edible. Guests dining with us selected skate wings, Wagyu beef and a pot of chili. Each had unique additions that completed their dining experience. They offer quite a selection of wine and beer (domestic and imported). Such a treat of a restaurant.More
