About
If you want fresh, unadulterated fish or seafood that is not dressed up in the plastic atmosphere of a chain, you've come to the right place. The New England Restaurant offers quality and value as well as honest true-to-its-roots fare. Run like a ship, the friendly, down-to-earth staff is like a tightly knit community that resembles the hardworking families of the northeast for whom fishing is not only their lifeline, but also their passion. New England Restaurant is a well-run operation that knows its product and doesn't stray from its intention to serve fresh, tasty seafood with pride and efficiency at a fair price.

We have purchased fresh fish and seafood at the New England Fish Market for ten years. We love fish and shop here at least once a week for preparing our meals for the five months we live in Port St. Lucie each year. What a...surprise we discovered in January 2022—The wonderful lunch specials the New England Fish Market & Restaurant offers. Not only are their specials reasonably priced, but they are delicious. We have taken family and friends there as well as stop in for lunch before shopping at the Fish Market. My personal favorite is the shrimp pasta; a lemon garlic butter with fresh tomatoes and veggies served with 6 large shrimp or scampi’s. We also have had their fish and chips; fish sandwich and fries; and fish tacos. Each was just $12. They make a great clam chowder that my husband always gets. I also enjoy their Greek Salads.More

Not impressed would sum up our overall experience. Tables are way too close together and we were seated in a strange narrow area up front. The menus are plastic coated single page. The silverware could not be any cheaper. One of our meals was served...in a plastic basket. Definitely not upscale! My haddock was overcooked and the coating tasted like KFC. The fries were very good beer battered style and came out hot. My wifes fish tacos were average. This place is very busy and appears super popular. Most patrons appeared to be in their 70's and we saw lots of coupons being used. We will not be returning as this is not our style and the food was unimpressive.More

What a great family seafood restaurant. Cozy, packed house but everyone friendly and service above and beyond. Had fried clams; chowda; popular place.

We have eaten here several times recently and had wonderful meals. The menu is extensive and everything is very fresh. The market market next door has a great selection of fish and prepared items, as well. If you have Belinda as your server, even better....Ask your server for recommendations. If you are a fan of mussels you won't be disappointed.More

We first enjoyed the Bang Boom Shrimp as an appetizer. It was delicious, cooked and seasoned perfectly (spicy). Had Haddock Milanese with stuffed shrimp, steamed zucchini & yellow squash, and red potatoes. Husband had bay scallops blackened with pasta. Both had nice side salads. Everything...was perfectly cooked, fresh and delicious. Have been going here for years when we're in the area, but it's the first time trying these dishes. Glad we did, especially the Milanese, which we will try again with maybe a different seafood or chicken. Great service and great job by all! Miss the smoked fish dip which was previously served compliment of the house.More

On Feb. 28th, we went with out-of-town guests to your restaurant. We had been hearing great things about it, and decided that was where to go for the best seafood. We got right in; our waitress was good, and the place was very busy. A...good sign!!! Three of us ordered grouper; one ordered haddock. All four pieces of fish were overcooked!! What a disappointment! And at those prices!! The green beans were cold, but the hushpuppies were delicious!More

We did lunch here on a leisurely Friday afternoon. Service was perfect and Leslie made great recommendations. All the staff seemed friendly and helped each other. We took advantage of the $12.00 lunch specials. My fish tacos were fantastic. Paired perfectly with a lightly spiced...rice and place bean side. Husband had fish and chips and could not eat all the fish, although he tried! Perfectly lightly breaded. Fries were also hot and good. Not fancy but just good, fresh food.More

Service was reasonably good. I had haddock, and my brother ordered a lobster roll. He sent the lobster roll back: while it was a tad larger than the pastrami sandwich at Fiona's Deli in Fort Collins, it did not register on the lobster scale. A...good place to skip.More

So you're vacationing on the beautiful Treasure Coast. You desire a fine authentic seafood place one would expect in an upscale beach town, but without any pretense. This was the place we hoped for and much more. Detail and focus are evident in the atmosphere,...menu, service and most important the food. We began with the "wicked good" clam chowder, one of FOUR seafood chowders on the menu. Mercy! All I can say! I especially appreciated the cooked down tender clams and the vegetable chunks within. The side salad was cold, crisp and came with very good blue cheese dressing. We then received our order of fresh hot hush puppies. Oh my and mercy once again! Incredible and our order of NINE served with honey and butter were both appetizer and dessert. I can still taste them! The entrees were simply amazing. Fresh fried haddock sandwich was my wife's choice with a massive piece of fish she had to cut in half to even lift the sandwich. My Haddock Milanese, the best selling entree was served hot and sitting in a pool of lemon butter sauce. It was crisply sauteed and fresh as could be. Our sides of fresh corn on the cob, cole slaw and red beans and rice were all delicious. We were so stuffed we couldn't order dessert. All of this for $65. Huge portions, fresh and quality all through, and Bernadette's service was impeccable. What a value and what a seafood experience! By the way, if you doubt either the freshness or "caught" sourcing visit the adjacent market. There it is fresh from the water...for sale raw or cooked in the restaurant. This is the real deal folks! If we lived here we'd be regulars as the crowds seem to agree. A true 5.More

We haven't been here in over a year but the excellent food and excellent service is still the same. The restaurant is very clean and very well maintained.
