About
The Cove is an old "fish camp" that has been Inverness's best kept secret! We are the only restaurant available on the water. Come on out and enjoy a relaxing country setting and swing in the swings down by the water. If you are coming by boat we have an entrance for airboats and an entrance for pleasure craft. Large parties welcome, reservations accepted. We also cater large events down by the water so if you are looking for a venue, think of us! Come check it out. New to The Cove, we offer boat rental and also have a 2 bedroom guest house for daily rent! Vintage Airstreams coming soon!

The cove is one those few places where you can get good food on a consistent basis. On this visit we had Road House hamburgers. This was a change as I usually Wings or a Waldorf salad. The burger was great. It had generous portions...of bacon and cheese. I had Cole Slaw and Sandy had a nice portion. Both were very good.More

Check out The Cove Pub and Grill next time you're feeling adventurous. Unbelievable wings, burgers and fries. Clean inside and out, and definitely worth the beautiful 25-minute drive towards Inverness on SR44 (which is all new blacktop!) They even have airboats - so take an...airboat ride and come back for a great lunch or dinner. Can't say enough about the management - one person in our party ordered a Big A$$ (TA won't allow me to use the actual name the Cove gave their offering) burger prepared medium, it came out a little too red for her liking. The owner quickly replaced her entire big ass burger order with a new one - cooked to perfection. And made sure she was happy with her choice. You won't find that kind of service in The Villages.More

Came back for more. Brought grandson and wife this visit. Place was packed and service was great with Melanie leading the way as our waitress. Seated promptly, specials explained and we pulled trigger…wasting no time. Food came promptly. Grandson ordered the Good ‘ol Boy &...I had the Black & Bleu burger. Both were large in size, loaded with condiments & done to perfection. No complaints this visit.More

Inverness’s hidden gem. Atmosphere, food , personnel and a big selection of beer and wine. Love it. A soon to open rv park and 2 Air BNB rentals make this a perfect destination getaway.

I happened to see a billboard advertising "The Cove" restaurant behind a travel park on the waterfront. It instructed me to turn at the dollar general store. Otherwise I would never have known it was there. Wife and I had traveled to the center of...the state and were looking for something other than a chain restaurant. We were seated immediately outside at the table of our choice and it was beautiful. Rather extensive menu for a small hidden place but everything sounded good and was a bit different. I settled on the pulled pork quesadilla and my wife got the small taco salad served in a fried crunch taco shell. Both meals were great. My pulled pork was so tender I had to eat the whole thing. It was sprinkled with bar b que sauce and I had to ask for more. Make sure if you ask for sauce here that they bring you the mild sauce. The first one burned my throat. Our server was Ashley and she did a great job. We will be gong back again as it is only about 15 miles from our home. Great food and service.More

Enjoyed our lunch after a thrilling airboat ride. Staff was personable and very accommodating to our grandson’s peanut allergy. Seems to be a very popular place and very happy we decided to have lunch there. Definitely recommend.

Heard of place a few days ago from friend and couldn’t wait to try out. Place tucked back off highway SR44 a bit but was easy to locate with gps help. Arrived 700 pm and place was packed but appeared dinner crowd was mostly seated...and/or run off. Sat at bar to avoid table wait and tended to promptly by bartender who brought menu and took drink orders. Service was commendable for the evening. I opted to order the fish and chips entree. Was listed on menu as cod and fries. When delivered in basket I knew immediately I was in trouble, as fish appeared to be frozen variety and not the battered fried variety I had envisioned. Fries were warm at best and fish dripped grease. Very disappointed with my choice for the evening and needless to say it ruined my first experience at this establishment. The restaurant had a very unique atmosphere and it was a comforting sight when first seated. It appeared that the biggest pushes on the menu were a variety of burgers and chicken wings, which may have been a better choice. I may try this place again in the futureMore

The food is great, the atmosphere is fantastic, and the service is friendly. This is a hidden gem on the lake, accessible by either water or car. Very good menu selection.

The food has always been great until this visit. The taco meat on the taco salad was basically a fried hamburger chopped up. No flavor whatsoever. The taco shell was totally over fried . The Reuben has been a favorite but this time a secret...spice was added to the meat and ruined the entire flavor of the sandwich. The homemade chips were totally over fried as well. Not good at all. A couple of the meals were pretty good. Jamaican jerk wings and the grilled cheese sandwich were good. If you don't like seasoned fries, this is not the place to go. Delivery of drinks from the bar took a little longer than expected. The staff was very friendly and professional.More

We like going for the wings and the outdoor atmosphere. This visit we decided to get a side of onion rings. To our disappointment the waitress set down a small paper basket with 5, yes, 5 onion rings. They barely covered the bottom of the...basket. When we asked if this was really a side order of rings she gave us that look like, yea, I know, not much there. It was more like a sampler than a side. I sure hope the management realizes that this is a little on the stingy side. Heck, we spent $50 for two people, seems a few more rings is not too much to ask. Fill the basket please, it will go a long way for your reputation.More

The Cove is noted for its wings and they do a good job cooking up the variety of "flavors" they sell. We have been here many times but not since the covid-19 required us to stay at home and wear masks. While everyone was hunkered...down the Cove was busy improving the waterfront (cove) with wooden trails and docks for your boat. We walked along the lake on the developed trails and it made the wait for a table much easier. It is a beautiful area to walk and the kids waiting with their parents enjoyed themselves on the trail and in the woods. If you are looking for a fun place to eat the Cove is for you. The food is good, the atmosphere is family orientated and the prices are reasonable.More
