We had a beautiful view from inside which made it perfect with the air conditioning. The service was exceptional. Prices were fair. We had salad, sea bass and apple pie a la mode. The salad was average, the stuffed sea bass with garlic mash potatoes...were very good. We will definitely return.More

The view was lovely, the food was excellent & Allie, our server, was top notch. We will absolutely be back. We got coconut shrimp & the pork chop. Both were amazing & the serving size was huge. That was the most moist & delicious (huge!!)...pork chop I’ve ever had.More

This restaurant used to be a primo night out, but now it's hard to find anything good to talk about. Made a reservation (6/21) and waited 40 minutes to be seated (even though the table was empty and set when we arrived). Took 45 minutes...to get an appetizer order on the table and unfortunately 2 of 5 appetizer orders were wrong (meaning the wrong appetizer was brought to the table). When the entree finally arrived 1 hour and 40 minutes into the experience, 3 steaks were cooked improperly (2 were ordered medium and arrived well done/no pink at all; 1 was ordered medium and came with a cold red center). Manager (Brian) attempted to step in, but failed miserably -- was almost funny that as we were leaving he asked if there was "anything more" he could do to improve our dining experience, which was laughable at that point.More

On a girls' trip over the weekend we drove over 30 minutes to dine here based on three enthusiastic recommendations. Of the several dining experiences we had this one disappointed. It was noisy to the point we could not converse, the waiter had to shout...information to us and talked like she was rushed, we were freezing with outside temperatures in the 80's and the the highly recommended grouper was rubbery and did not seem fresh as claimed. I quit eating my meal. Would never recommend.More

Nice property, good food, great location/views. One of the best restaurants if staying in the IRB and surrounding areas.

The best dining experience. Great food. Beautiful views and exceptional service by our server Ben. Ben made sure we always had everything that we needed. The early dinner menu has a lot of great choices. My daughter had steak off of the kids menu and...it was phenomenal. My wife had salmon and I had the filet mignon KBob from the early dinner menu. The food was wonderful.More

Made reservations there for last night as we knew it was a busy place. We came a little earlier than scheduled but were seated right away. We had a great table overlooking the water and the atmosphere of the restaurant was excellent. As was the...food and the staff! Our server, Benjamin was a joy to talk to, very knowledgeable and accommodating with all of our questions and wishes. He was able to describe the dishes we were not so sure off and made excellent recommendations. If you are ever in the area, I highly suggest you enjoy a wonderful evening there.More

We came here 16 years ago before we started a family and have been back once or twice a year since and I’m telling you…. Salt Rock Grill never disappoints! We came in with no reservation at 1:00 on Saturday afternoon, a party of 6....Our only option for a table was outside, which was expected and fine with us. Ben was our server and he was very attentive, and made great menu recommendations. They’ve changed the mussels Provençal but they are still very flavorful and our kids still devoured them. The firecracker tuna that Ben recommended was the best app we had though. We had daily specials, regular menu entrees, and the early supper menu items and everything came out fast, cooked well, and tasted great! We will keep coming back every time we are down at the beach and continue recommending Salt Rock Grill to our friends who visit the area. They never let us down.More

Be sure to sit where there is a view. If you are seated in the room immediately to the left of hostess stand it's like eating $33 tiny dry snapper in a warehouse echo chamber/wind tunnel. Worst HVAC ever. Screaming babies and no way to...even keep a birthday candle lit. Server did the best she could but this place used to be upscale. The menu prices still are.More

There were 13 of us that had dinner here to celebrate wedding anniversaries and engagements . We had stuffed sea bass, salmon and steaks. Cocktails. The food was excellent. We had 2 servers wait on our table. The one fellow was excellent. But the other...older gentleman was not very friendly. Kind of bossy actually. Put a damper on our evening out. They made over $250 in tips. You would think he would have been a little nicer. We will go back when we return to the area because we love this place, but will make sure we don't have that server again.More

I don't care where you go or how much money you spend, you will not find better food than at the Salt Rock Grill. From the stuffed Sea Bass to the Grouper Cheeks, everything was incredible. However, on the other side of the coin, I...have NEVER encountered such a substandard staff. From Audrie the hostess to our waiter Charles J., we have never been made to feel like we don't belong as we did with these two. I could use adjectives such as arrogant, snooty, snobby, and condescending, to describe these two but those adjectives would still not do our experience justice. My wife was on the verge of leaving the restaurant just before we ordered our food. Eat at your own risk.More

This used to have stellar food but guessing when they cater to "early birds" it really affects the quality and size of entrees and sides suffer too. My wife's cauliflower gratin was just big chunks covered in cheese , nothing like we thought it should...be. Her fish was good, but small portions. I had the filet and that was real small for an 8 oz and overcooked to medium, which is nasty. The baked potato was small. The staff had familiar faces our waiter was good but this wasn't worth the $135 spent. It's a shame the food is suffering but as stated they're appeasing the blue haired, water drinking elderly.More

Highly rated but a huge disappointment. Arrived at 8:45pm, got seated promptly and on the patio, as requested. That was probably the best thing of the night. Drinks took a while to arrive and food came barely warm if not cold. Didn’t make a comment...as it was already late and didn’t want to delay eating any further or ruin the whole night. Key lime pie was delicious and one of the specialty coffee was delicious too. Sadly I have to say, save your money and go somewhere else. Not fancy but not cheap either.More
