We stopped here after playing at the beach. The service was great and very personable. My son ordered a mimosa and was told she would put it in as an endless mimosa order and if he didn't drink more than one she would just charge us the one. He only had the one and she forgot to take that off and we didn't catch it. We ordered two pasta primaveras, a blackened maki with sweet potato fries, a brussel sprouts appetizer, one mimosa and one sangria and our bill was $97. There was no protein (chicken, seafood, beef, etc) on the pasta. It was pasta and veggies. That's quite steep for lunch. The food was very good and they allowed us to have our dog out on the patio. They brought her a water bowl and her own little plate with two dog bones on it! :) An eclectic little place for sure. The sangria was amazing! We will most likely return because it was a great experience, but we would watch the bill closer and probably share a meal.

I brought my father here who was in town from Charlotte, NC. I really loved the quirky decor, I immediately felt safe because the restaurant practiced all COVID guidelines, and I got really excited about the food just from reading the menu while waiting! Once seated, our server Devon was immediately attentive and ensured from that moment on, all of our needs were met during our dining experience. The restaurant isn't huge therefore the staff isn't extensive, but you could tell that their small crew worked well together both front and back of the house. The food was amazing, I ordered the Nutella stuffed french toast and fresh fruit (because balance) and when I realized I wanted/needed milk during my meal, it was quickly brought to me chilled which was just the icing on the cake for me. My father had an Egg Benedict concoction of some sort (they had quite a few to chose from) & thoroughly enjoyed it as it incorporated seafood and he was in from out of town. Overall, it was a 5 out of 5 star experience and I would recommend Too Cool to anyone looking for a great place to eat! Furthermore, somewhere that isn't a chain and supports local business! 😋👌

Energized staff greet you review the menu and describe the specials of the day. Today’s breakfast special was en enormous Portabella grilled, beautifully seasoned topped with a lite savory goat cheese. It was sprinkled with fresh baby spinach leaves on the side came sweet tomato slices. This special also came with poached eggs topped with a wonderful hollandaise sauce. I carefully. dissected this masterpiece to treasure all of the flavors and textures. A perfect breakfast with company. Thewere mesmerized by the plate of food. It was obviously plentiful half of the special came home

At 11:45 am today December 29 we gave our name to the host who said he expected to seat us outside in 15 or 20 minutes. We should have left after 20 minutes but it appeared a couple of tables were finishing their lunch. About 40 minutes after the host took our name, a party of 4 arrived and waited outside with us. Finally after waiting 55 minutes, a table opened outside. The host gave it to the party that had waited only 15 minutes instead of the 55 minutes we’d waited. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the host and he did nothing for us so we left; completely incompetent, rude and, unprofessional service.
Fortunately we went to Hula Moon just a few minutes east and had a much better lunch than we would have had at Too Cool Cafe, which has obviously gone downhill. Hula Moon had more outdoor tables, better ambiance, much more competent and pleasant staff and much better food.
We will NEVER return to Too Cool Cafe because of their terrible service alone.

Hamburgers were delicious! Ordered curbside pickup. Parmesan fries don’t really need the Parmesan cheese. Tried the Cuban Hamburger and Apple Brie Hamburger both were good! We would definitely order from them again or if they open after shelter in place we would go there to eat.

Planters with palms have been added to increase outdoor seating and make for a good atmosphere and social distancing. Our server, Devon, was excellent; attentive without hovering. My omelette was delicious and more than enough for a hearty appetite. The Philly Cheesesteak was very good with meat hanging over the edges. The Chicken/Bacon quesadilla appetizer was very tasty and enough for two as a meal (with a side). Food prices are reasonable but I found the wine to be a little pricey. We cannot wait to go back when in town again.

I had a meat craving and decided to try the curbside delivery being offered during the COVID-19 crisis. The Cajun burger I ordered was huge and delicious. Besides the Cajun seasoning, it was topped with caramelized onions, provolone cheese, lettuce, tomato, and chipotle garlic aioli. A wonderful combination of flavors.
I'm not much of a drinker, but the restaurant now offers mimosa and sangria "ingredients" to go.
It was good to do a small thing to try to support a local business during this difficult time.

We went there for breakfast and sat outside where there is a patio next to the parking lot. It’s not very scenic but that would be OK if the food was decent which it wasn’t. We both ordered omelettes with avocados and my omelette came complete with an over ripe brown avocado with the skin still attached to it! Seriously what was the chef thinking? It may have been a one off and they weren’t paying attention but not cool at all. Even without the avocado error , the grits were cold and the toast was over cooked.

My wife & I went to Too Cool Cafe with a couple that live in IHB for a late lunch (~1:30pm). On the way, our friends told us the food was good, but to not expect to eat anytime soon. They were absolutely correct. We arrived to a quaint spot, decorated very beach and sat down and our drink orders were taken and drinks brought to the table. Then the waitress seemed to disappear for a while. We think the manager heard us talking about wanting to order, and our waitress showed back up. She was very friendly and helpful in answering questions about the menu and our order was in. It took another bit of time before food was brought to the table. Four different entrees were ordered and all were thoroughly enjoyed. The desserts LOOKED wonderful, but we were all full from our meals, so none were tried. The only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating was the speed of service. A great place to go if you have time, but not if you are in a hurry.

Apparently they only take reservations even though that’s not listed anywhere on their website or social accounts. Half the tables were empty but they told us we’d have to wait 30+ minutes because they were all reserved.
Seems like a business would want to take in the door paying customers as opposed to supposed reservations.

My favorite breakfast place was closed for vacation. Had been to the Too Cool Cafe once before. Previously the service was slow. The food was ok. I decided as a second choice to try them again. The service from the minute we walked in was lackluster. They made us wait for an extra long time to clear a table that was empty, then it took a while for someone to get around to greeting us and taking an order. The drinks came reasonably quickly and then the wait began. We watched people who arrived after us get their breakfast. After about 30 minutes, one of the servers (not ours) came to tell us they had run out of potatoes but it would only be a couple minutes more. About 15 minutes later, the restaurant had cleared out and still no breakfast so we decided to leave. A good server would have told us the potato ordeal and at least asked if we wanted to wait or choose another option. Instead we were basically ignored. Needless to say, after 2 strikes we will never go back.

First time eating here and we had a great experience. Food prices are a little high but the quality and serving size equal the price. Our party had the Hangover burger - huge! A lobster roll - filled with meat and just enough mayo. Philly cheese steak was delicious. Tuna sandwich was piled high with tuna salad. Cozy atmosphere and great outdoor seating option.

We had the eggs Benedict, and this crazy concoction that included chicken and apples in a crepe. I was sceptical at first but the meal was divine. Not too heavy, very tasty with a mix of sweet and savory. The bene's were also a solid score.

WIfe read the reviews, said lets eat here she said. So we did. We were like the 3rd couple in there that morning. Ordered the omelet with grits and muffin. My order must have sat in the back, by the time I got it, it was luke warm at best. The butter didnt melt on the muffin. Geez. In these times you have to be grateful the server showed up for the shift but, come on, just bring the food out when it is ready.

This is a small little place that only has a limited amount of tables and space, but it was so cool to be able to go in and enjoy the food.
I’m on a special type of food lifestyle so me food choices are limited. My family and I came here for dinner and I’m glad we did. Bobbi Jo was a wonderful and the chef, Brian made a wonderful dish. We had the sweet potato clam chowder which was perfect! Not too thick as I used to have, but a thinner and tastier broth which had an excellent taste to it. Then we had the special that night which was blackened chicken with veggies and it was flavorful and everything minus squash that I could eat. I felt as I could taste the fresh herbs and veggies in the dish and it literally tasted delicious.
My kids ordered pasta dishes which they enjoyed and I like that they had some gluten free bread. I don’t know if there were other choices as I don’t eat bread.
The deserts looked Delia’s well. For deseo did splurge and had the sweet potato cheesecake which was delicious.
If I had a place like this back at home, I would definitely frequent it.
