On a road trip, my boyfriend and I popped in for a quick beer and appetizer. From the moment we sat down at the bar, the owner greeted us and had us laughing the whole time. The food, beer and German ambiance was incredible. Totally...made our night!More

We just had a fabulous meal and the owner was amazingly friendly and thanked us in a very sincere way for coming to his restaurant. My husband had Municher platter and I had the mushroom gravy and cheese Schnitzel. Wow, we had a tremendous meal...and everything was so tasty. It has a great German ambiance and great German music playing in the background. So the meal was great, owner was tremendously friendly and restaurant was well decorated. We loved our experience.More

Our dinner was excellent, we had schnitzel, bratwurst, pot roast and of course apple strudel for desert.

Great dinner. Had chef Cornell select our beer, dinner and wine. So delicious and a knife was not needed. Beautifully plated. The deserts were awesome too. Will definitely recommend and we will be back.

My husband is the big fan of German food but even he agreed this was just average. No options for healthy eating here! The red cabbage which we both usually love had a too sweet cinnamon taste. The potato pancake was thick, soup came with...ham even after being assured it contained no ham or bacon. The manager was over the top friendly and most of the time was running around talking and laughing with customers while not wearing a mask, rather had a neck gaiter that he occasionally pulled over his mouth. The Lucky Frog in Bradenton was a much better all around experience if you are in the mood for German food.More

We loved the atmosphere, service and delicious food! If you don’t end your experience with the apple strudel, you are missing a big piece to your evening! Our only disappointment, was that we waited a year to try this hidden island gem! A must!

This was our second trip to the SchnitzelHaus. Both were excellent. I would say the best value for your dollar in terms of quality and amount of food on the island. My meal was $28 and took more than half home. Simply too much, though...not complaining. We will be backMore

We drove past here for a year before trying. It is REALLY good, authentic food! Portions are huge, atmosphere is so cozy and welcoming and the staff is great!

You step in to a piece of Bavaria 😀 and forget the sand and beach for a while. The service is great, Gary (the owner) spreads happiness and German greetings and the food is authentic and very, very good. I had the spaetzle with beef...stroganoff and home made sauerkraut (<3) - excellent. And the pretzels wow! We will definitely be back.More

We have German heritage and love the food so went here after reading the positive reviews and you don't usually find a German Restaurant at the beach. We were not disappointed. We went early for dinner so were seated quickly. We had beer and wine...and couldn't believe the size of the large beer! For dinner we had KaseSpatzle, Sauerbraten and Veal Schnitzel. It was all delicious! Black Forest Cake was the dessert and we liked that too! The owner was actively visiting tables and made us feel very welcome. We really enjoyed our evening and would recommend eating here.More
