We spent our 35th wedding anniversary at the Beach Bistro last week. In 35 years we have traveled all over the world and had amazing meals. As a native Floridian I was delighted to discover one of the best restaurants in the world in my...own backyard. The staff was professional and pleasant without being stiff or stuffy. I'm a Gulf Coast girl, so the view was sublime. However, it was the meal that made this experience incredible. Each dish was impeccably prepared. We leaned heavily towards seafood; shrimp, lobster, fish, scallops. Everything was firm and fresh. I had the domestic lamb billed as simply the world's best, and it was absolutely perfect. I am delighted to have found this little gem in my own neck of the woods. We will definitely be back.More

While this restaurant is unassuming and not what I imagined, it made up for it with the quality of the food and presentation. The four courses were spaced in a timely manner and all were good. I had the pate/ foi gras, lobster bits in...butter with spinach, the grouper, and the dessert of flourless chocolate cake with various sauces which was amazing! They begin your service with a blueberry infused vodka shot and a dessert ice cream scoop with frangelico and topped with praline bits. My husband had the Caesar salad, lobster bits, duck (which he said was good not outstanding). Overall, very pleased and would recommend for a fine dining experience. I laugh as a previous reviewer did not like the chef’s printed story regarding an encounter with a picky patron but, we all know that’s about ego and what chef doesn’t have one? Definitely worth the cost - enjoy!More

We loved our waiter, Marvin, and trusted his recommendations. You cannot go wrong, but everything was exceptional, especially the scallops and shrimp and lobster cocktail. The little cocktail that you are greeted with is so refreshing. Beach Bistro is unlike anything unless!

After having our temperature checked by a masked bandit in black rubber gloves we read the essay written by the owner, describing how he got rid of a dissatisfied customer. We decided to accept whatever comes our way. The small cocktail and ice cream failed...to “amuse my bouche “. The lobster/escargots ( never understood why you have to name it so ..) was pleasant. The pate with the raspberry jam on top was rather like a bagel smear.... The filet was served with two different sauces, probably to prove the chef’s skills , because it just unnecessarily smothered the flavor of the meat. The bouillabaisse was quite pleasing . I will not rate the desserts because I rather opted for a digestive. Altogether an overrated overpriced experience.More

This place was amazing. This was the best thing we did our whole trip. Very expensive, but so lovely. My best advice is to not eat lunch that day so you can eat every bite. The set up on the beach is so beautiful and...romantic. They even have blankets on the chairs in case it gets cool with the wind We saw an amazing sunset. Service was prompt. All the staff wore a mask and they took your temperature. Felt safe. We would definitely come back here next time we are in Anna Maria island.More

Had dinner Saturday night at this place, we got there late maybe an hour and a half before they closed and they were packed, we had no reservation (we tried calling a few times but couldn’t reach anyone so we decided to walk over from...our hotel). Staff was super nice, they arranged a table for us and I must say I’m glad we found this place, food is amazing 🔥🔥🔥 desert could have been better (the little one you get at the beginning is one of the best things I’ve tried tho) will definitely come back when we’re in the area.More

We were delighted with our recent dinner here. The entire staff was charming and professional, especially our waiter Oscar. The service was impeccable, and the food lived up to the elegant menu. We were wowed by the starters, including the mini-praline bite and the tomato...tapenade. The Caesar salad was made-from-scratch, the shrimp and lobster cocktail was fresh and flavorful, and the pate was indeed memorable. The wine and cocktail list were creative. The second and third courses were exquisite: the scallops were tender and moist, the duck confit was prepared in classical French style, and we used up all the bread to soak up the buttery "Lobstercargot" sauce. We couldn't decide which flavorful dish we preferred: the duckling breast, the bouillabaisse, or the beef tenderloin. Desserts were equally unforgettable--bananas foster, chocolate truffle terrine, key lime pie. The setting was beautiful--although we were indoors, we had breathtaking views of the sunset. We booked our return visit over dessert!More

My wife is borderline celiac and was easily able to enjoy a full and wonderful meal at Beach Bistro last October. The staff was very accommodating and helpful in advising her regarding the menu.
