Loved the bar-Tasty Maracuya Caipirinhas- Great Service

Title of review about says it all. This was actually at the bar under the cupula right near the beach at the Diplomat. I wish I knew our server's name. He was Excellent! and mixed up some perfect passionfriut Caipirinhas for us. We stopped in for a cople drinks each as we walked the beach northbound and they were so tasty that we stoped again on our beachwalk back southound later that evening. Yum Yum!!

Stop byes after dinners

We found this to be a good place to stop for a night cap after having dinner at a local restaurant. Incredible ambiance and good service.

Diplomat Lobby Bar

The Diplomat Lobby Bar has an elegant decor, the clientel are usually older gentelman tourist. They are eager to talk about their world accomplishments, not so much about how I think Trump is criminal.

Amazing Pina Colada!

Amazing Pina Colada! Our bartender Eduardo was excellent telling us about the area and suggested Monkitail which is right inside the resort! Great way to start our trip enjoying the fire pits and relaxing outside!

Little too gratuitous

Didn’t like the automatic 20 percent gratuity which also gets taxed on every drink. Turns a15 dollar drink into an almost 20 dollar drink even if service is slow or drink poorly made.

Quiet and Relaxing

A nice hotel lobby bar to sit comfortably and have a cocktail with friends or alone. One may sit at bar or more privately at a quaint table. The area is tropically decorated and very attractive. Any drink you could want is available. I enjoyed a Frose’ and a chardonnay, serving quality brands.

Great Hotel Bar!

The bartenders are friendly and can make just about anything! There are 4 TVs and an incredible view of the pool and beach. It's an indoor/outdoor bar which is awesome! I even got a free drink from one of the sweet bartenders for my birthday!!

Excellent experience, thanks to Eduardo

I was in Miami for a conference and truly appreciated the ambience of the Diplomat Resort and Spa’s Lobby Bar. I made a conscious decision to NOT stay at the same hotel where my conference was held so I could enjoy some peace and quiet at the end of the day. The Lobby Bar was perfect. As a woman traveling alone I felt safe and “unbothered”. My favorite drink, Bailey’s on the rocks, was perfectly served to me by Eduardo. He also mixed an amazingly captivating drink with fresh pineapple that I had never heard of and made other excellent recommendations. Eduardo’s professionalism, kindness and warm smile for everyone made a great impression on me. I will definitely stay at the Diplomat again and recommend my associates do so as well.

Great drinks!

Great selection of various beers and wines as well as a huge spirit selection. We even noticed a tequila tap! Not something you see everyday up north :) A bit pricey and 18% gratuity is included.

Nice place to sit outside

Had cocktails and watched the hockey game from the outside portion of the lobby bar. Was busy but had a lot of nice seating (was wet from the rain) around fire pits as well. Was a busy place but does not seem to have a regular time for closing so it's not always open when you think it is.

Out Door Bar Overlooks Ocean

The Diplomat Lobby Bar is a perfect Bar for having a cocktail by mixologist Lalo. I had the signature “Marshmallow Old Fashion” and it was on point. I also had their “White wine slushy “ booth we’re refreshing on a hot tropical night. The coolest part about the bar are the fire pits and the balcony over looking the ocean. I would definitely pre-game at the bar agin and have Lalo the bartender make me a signature cocktail at the Diplomat outside bar.

Absolutely amazing place! We’ll be back next year. Bartenders outside were fantastic. Our room was great as well. The pools were beautiful

Plenty of seating but, not very comfortable seating. I don't think they want you to stay too long. My husband enjoyed the drink he ordered very much.
