Best little camp site, best fishing. Easy access off Hwy 301 in Hawthorne. Troy, Jeff and Linda are the best host's. Come at least 1-2 times monthly or as much as we can. Have camper call for availability they also have six cabin rentals. Can’t...say enough about the camp and the hosts taking care of it. Our all time favorite camping/fishing spot.More

We stayed here for a week in our RV. Small, compact park nicely located on the lake with full hook-ups. Great sunsets over the lake. Convenient boat ramp by the office/diner. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Downsides - Internet virtually non existent unless you go sit...out by the camp office, bathrooms clean but primitive - no doors on the stalls just a shower curtain, and the CSX railroad is directly adjacent to the park, so be prepared to be woken up several times in the night by train horns sounding off going over the railroad crossing.More

If you have a boat, This is your place to camp. You can wake up & launch your boat off the dock that is right next to your camper. I don’t have a boat, but did camp for the weekend. Kids were able to fish...off the dock. It was very hot as to be expected, but relaxing. The customer service is outstanding. Alan was in great communication with me prior to & made sure I had everything we needed for our stay. I would stay there again. Just a heads up the WiFi is weak, but I was still able to get stuff done on my computer.More

After visiting Marjorie Rawlings homestead we came here to buy one of her books which they have them all for sale. Local folks are wonderfully warm and friendly. They close early like at 5:00 so be sure and make the trip early enough to stop...by.More

My husband and I have stayed here several times and the cabins are always clean and comfortable. Everyone is nice and helpful and the lake is beautiful! The atmosphere is very FUN and also relaxing at the same time. The fishing is great (a little...slow at times, but when they start biting, get ready lol) and we've even spotted some deer grazing in the woods near the shoreline while we were fishing- which was really cool to see. There is only one downfall-- that is the boat ramp. It is in need of repair and if your not very careful it could easily damage your boat/trailer. Every time we load/unload it's a little stressful, but thankfully we've never had any real issues (just try to avoid the deep hole that's right down the middle of the ramp). Regardless of the ramp, we can't wait to go back! It's an awesome place overall!!More
