Ordered smoked turkey with 2 sides. Full portions. Sides were large. The sauces were unique. Service was very good. Amy was our server.

On the way back home to SCarolina, we stopped at Dianne's. I got the smoked chicken quarter with baked beans and slaw; my wife and son shared a full rack of BBQ pork ribs and sides of fries and collards. It was so good all...the way around. I hated to leave, to tell the truth. The side dishes were bountiful and delicious. My smoked chicken was just right, tender and tasty. The rack was full and the bones suckable. I live in BBQ country here in SC, but I will always appreciate the service, sauces, and plentiful portions at Dianne's.More

Dropped in for lunch on Sunday. Seated immediately. Friendly waitress. Had the pork dinner with mac and cheese and bbq beans. Very filling. Good food nothing special. My wife had bbq chicken with green beans. Chicken seemed to be fried and the beans were overdone.

We stopped on our way from Okefenokee to Orlando. Local place, the parking lot was busy. That is a good indicator of great food. We were not disappointed! Greeter was instantly seating us. Waitress was very attentive. Mashed potatoes, gravy, BBQ ribs, coleslaw, collard greens...with chunks of ham in it, all done to perfection. We topped it off with a slice of key lime pie. It gave us a good taste of local food, local people and local favorites.More

Driving down Highway 301 and spotted this location with quite a few cars outside, so we stopped in for lunch. "Great" is much too strong, while "overall good" might be closer to the truth. Don't come expecting fancy, 'cuz it ain't. Minimum decor, basic table...and chairs...."what'll y'all have?" Food and prices are both good. We enjoyed the chef's choice hamburger and the Big Deal sliced beef sandwich, along with BBQ beans. Both sandwiches hit the spot and we also enjoyed the sides. All in all, I think we scored with our choice to stop here.More

Went on a weeknight. Ordered from the lunch menu as they have smaller portions. Service was very quick and friendly. Food was very good. Not much on atmosphere, just a good place to have a good, reasonably priced meal.

We try to plan our trips north so that we pass through Hawthorne at mealtime. This time it was for a somewhat early lunch. We tend to get the same thing - senior sliced pork with one side for less than $7. We got our...tea in to go cups so we could take the refills along for the afternoon caffeine. Service was quick and friendly. We will continue to try to plan our trips so that we can eat at Dianne's.More

My wife and I found Dianne's while driving north from our home in Naples, FL to Maryland. We took a shortcut on U.S. 301 and found Dianne's right around lunchtime. We were glad we did. I enjoyed a hamburger steak with potatoes and vegetables! Plenty...big and juicy! My wife had bbq chicken which she loved and the portion was too big for her to finish! Service is fast and very friendly. The restaurant is popular and the tables quickly filled up just after we arrived. Next time I will try the barbecue as just about everyone else in there was wolfing it down! I highly recommend stopping here when travelling on U.S. 301 in Northeast Florida!More

Anyone traveling from north FL to Southwest FL has passed through the RT 301 corridor and has likely stopped for gas and a bite. We stopped in this BB que restaurant recently for a late lunch during our trek home. The smell of smoked meat...hits you at the door, the staff is very welcoming and friendly. The popular items here are the pork ribs, sliced pork and sliced beef. We tried combo plates of all three, together with sides of baked beans, coleslaw and cornbread. The smoked meats were very tasty, especially with added BBQ sauces. The cornbread was a bit dry, baked beans really good. Coleslaw was average. Definitely a great value with loaded plates of food priced less than $15. Excellent service here. A worthwhile stop when passing through the 301 corridor!!More
