This is a casual restaurant. It is reasonable and oftentimes very crowded. Parking in front is limited and you may have to park around the corner. The food is authentic Cuban and is very good. My daughter had the Ropa Vieja. I had the grilled chicken and black bean soup. It feels like you are eating at Abuela's house. My... More

I researched this place before heading to Gainesville. Sounded good on paper, and it was good in person. I don't eat Cuban food often so it was a nice getaway from American fare. The food was plentiful, fresh and tasty. We ordered the Ropa Vieja which is like shredded beef roast and Picadillo ground beef. The Picadillo has a lot... More

This is more of a fast food type of restaurant. There is a waitress but the place is set up like a fast food restaurant so its very casual and inexpensive. A great place to go on the fly or if you don't feel like dressing up. The food was good, I am no expert on Latin cuisine but I... More

This is the place to go for good Latin food when you hungry! Huge portions, nice variety of offerings. The Miami sandwich is super, so is any breakfast. Coffee is the best! The servers, for the most part, are college students from Latin countries-very interesting to talk with and learn from-they are special! You don't get this family feeling from... More

Very low end is an appropriate description but ok. Fried beef...Vaca frita tough and tasteless. Black beans were excellent and media noche was delicious. They have Colombian food on the menu so I ordered an arepa which was tasteless and undercooked. It is very busy but there were lots of tables.

The Frijoles Colorados were good. They were out of Yuca. The Mariquitas were out of a bag, not fresh. We ate in the restaurant but the food was served on styrofoam plates and we had to eat with plastic ware. The prices were economical. For a college student it was fine but I won't go back.

Great place to grab some very good Latin grub quickly and for a reasonable price. Big fan of the ropa vieja and the pressed sandwiches.

Wow...we ate here on the recommendation of the folks where we parked our car for a football game...and it was delicious. We tried several dishes, and found each one to be excellent...Great prices and large portions...the desserts were just enough ... though we were very full by the time we devoured them. the service was attentive, friendly and thorough.
