Went for Lunch on our trip from Orlando to Tallahassee and it was amazing! My kiddo is Vegan so we opted for this place and they were very happy with the many options available to them. They had options for everyone from very spicy to regular amercian dishes for my mom who doesn't like spicy,

Last year, we ate at the Reggae Shack and had a good experience, so we returned this year. The waitstaff is very polite and just nice (no other way to put it). Our food was plentiful and tasty. If you don't like peas (which we don't), then you will be pleased to know that the "rice and peas" that comes... More

Real authentic Jamaican food!!! They even had breadfruit and ginger beer, amazing!! The curry goat is cooked right. If your mouth is craving good Jamaican food stop by. It's nice to go to a Jamaican restaurant that also has a nice interior!

I love Reggae Shack! It is one the most unique places in Gainesville. I highly recommend the Caribbean Chicken Sandwich. It is a juicy burger with crispy chicken and a lot of delicious sauce.

The food is great with lots of variety for everyone. We had the chicken curry, oxtail and Festivals (delicious, sweet hushpuppies). Meals came with rice and beans, good tasting cabbage and the best plantains I've had in quite a while.

An amazingly large and varied menu for such a specialty (and inexpensive) restaurant. The flavors of mild curry lingered in our mouths joyfully and memorably. The jerk shrimp and chicken are best ordered by diners who love to test the limits of their taste buds -- for a while on Saturday night, I worried that the fire in my mouth... More

Great food one of the two owners is vegan the other is meat eating so the menu serves Jamacian dishes of a very wide variety. Love the cabbage that comes with every mean.

I have been to the Reggae shack when I goto Gainesvill. I always find time for some jerk chicken. This time I tried the curry goat. Really nice!

Was a little hesitant walking in. Walking in the front door, the heat hits you from the kitchen. I was thinking, oh no, we are going to suffocate in here, but were seated off to the side, and were very comfortable. There are many choices on the menu, and since I'm vegetarian, I was concerned-but was actually delighted at the... More

Last year i was in Gainesville for the 5th time and finally had the chance to eat a proper evening meal at this restaurant. The staff was extremely friendly, and the food was delicious. Hands down the best spicey chicken I have ever eaten!
