I had a really good egg cream here and the pastries are made in house. Delicious and a nice atmosphere,

Volta doesn't look like much from the outside but it is a serious about coffee - offering some of the best brands and blends. Tea drinkers will be pleased with their vast array of both green and black leaf assortments. There's also a decent selections of baked goods (nothing gluten free or vegan though). Milk choices - whole, skim, and... More

Volta Order: Pour Over, Iced Latte, Quiche Price: $16 Pros: Their plain black coffee is pretty good, quiche was awesome, tons of seating, they have a ton of great chocolate! Cons: Very limited options for coffee and none of it is amazing, seems less of a “coffee house” than a multipurpose hangout spot Thoughts: One of the way I know... More

Even though they really are not customer oriented and as you walk in you are lucky if they even look at you, the ice coffee is awesome and the treats are delicious.

I love fresh roasted coffee, black prepared using a pour-over method, so when I travel I search for "coffee roaster." This place popped up and it went way beyond what I was expecting. They prove it is not a big deal to fed ex the best fresh roasted coffees from wherever they happen to come from. They also prove that... More

As my Gen-X kid said, "Come for the coffee, stay for the vibe." She told me this is listed as the #3 place for coffee on Trip Advisor, because #1 and #2 are Starbucks. I don't do "chains" when we're visiting someplace, as I want to experience local culture. Well, Volta is in a very cool and hip part of... More

The coffee was very good and the place was like many other coffee houses, with internet availability, and a "trendy" atmosphere, but the music they were playing was too much for us. We just drank our coffee and left. We did our talking in the car.

This great little coffee shop exemplifies the term "artisan". I had not heard of Volta before, but a friend recommended it, so I gave it a try. It's small, with an interesting menu, not just the usual Starbuck-esque recipes. I had the Xocolate Maya chocolate drink in lieu of coffee, and wow, was it good. The spicy taste is a... More
