Called ahead for outdoor seating. Told it was available, but when we arrived the hostess refused to seat us outside at empty tables. Waited to order, waited even longer for food to arrive. The spinach omelet I ordered was not edible. Spinach was wet, eggs...overcooked, with a slice of cheese on top that seemed to be an afterthought. Will never take the family here again.More
Every time I visit my sister in Gainesville we can't wait to eat our meals in this very good, casual restaurant. We have eaten breakfasts, lunches and dinners here, and we have never been disappointed. Our service is very good no matter what time of...the day we go, though we try to eat an early dinner at 5:30 to avoid crowds and traffic. So many good meals to choose from. My favorite dessert is the Pavlova, but it's hard to choose which is the best dessert. If you haven't been here before, give it a try.More
Fish-and-chips were covered with grease. Chicken wrap was sloppy and slattered with mayo. Salad greens were wilted, not fresh. Waited almost 15 minutes to get a table at a time in which most of the tables were empty. The server did not write down anything...regarding our order and, of course, the order came out of the kitchen completely wrong. This is another restaurant that is lacking competent management.More
We stumbled upon this delightful bistro in the quaint village. Are we in Florida? We came for brunch but the Bistro Burger had our names written on them. Yummy fresh ingredients with fresh cut French Fries. Coming back soon for more menu items and the...great service of Marcelle.More
Good service and fine food. Classic eggs Benedict was undercooked with uninteresting hollandaise but the buffet was loaded for a regular breakfast. Burger was good and reliable. Nice location; pleasant surrounds and lots of tempting desserts.
The food is good and the desserts are the best. Not heavy and not too sweet, just delicious. Outside seating is available and dog friendly. The English pub adjoins the restaurant so you can even sit in the pub and order food from the Bistro....I love the fish and chips and Monday burger night. Really good burgers and only $5 on burger night.
There is a dessert case when you first walk in with many desserts. Sometimes I get a dessert to take home.More
This was our first time at the Bistro which is connected to the Queens Arms Pub next door. The menu was extensive, the prices were average, the service friendly, the noise level high. My husband had a Greek Salad which was large and looked fresh....I had a BLT which was nicely made and tasty. We shared a piece of cheesecake for dessert at the recommendation of the waitress. It was OK, not special. Many other desserts to choose from. It was a pleasant enough stop for lunch.More
