Very nice atmosphere, but very disappointed in the food and the service. The waitress gave us the specials for the evening and my husband commented that the crab special sounded good, but there was shrimp on it and he is allergic to shrimp. He ordered the stuffed flounder and after starting to eat it he found what looked like shrimp... More

This is the third year to spend our last vacation dinner at Magnolia Grill. This year, we had 13 so made reservations with the owner, Tom. Let's get past the initial hiccup before the good things. Upon arrival, party of 13 had been changed to parties of 8 and 5 at separate tables. Conveyed to hostess this wasn't acceptable as... More

Very attentive staff. Great House filled with all sorts of memorabilia and open invitation to walk around an explore not only the main floor but the upstairs as well which might even be called a museum. Food excellent; portions very large and reasonably priced. Would return again

Each in our group enjoyed the food and due to the size almost every lunch menu item was sampled. A+ on food. Service for a large group was very slow considering our early arrival and being the first guests there maybe a C-. Environment was delightful though crowded, many vintage pieces and the older home was converted to a restaurant.... More

As our last night of our vacation, we researched reviews & chose Magnolia Grill, which was a big mistake. The restaurant is unique and has a lot of atmosphere, and all the staff are very friendly and helpful, but the table service was slow and the food disappointing. We will never return there to eat again. The meals were just... More

If you love finding local gems with excellent food this is it. Pleasant ambiance with historical significance is combined with a menu of fresh seafood, steaks and pasta. We thoroughly enjoyed everything!

This house was built from a Sears catalogue kit in 9110 and was moved from Santa Rosa Sound to its present location some time later. It's loaded with antiques and tastefully decorated. The music is from an antique era, and I'm amused with the observation by some writers that the clientele here are largely geriatric...well, my anecdotal observation is that's... More

This restaurant is in an old house that is filled with antiques, knick knacks and memorabilia. In addition it is tastefully lit with white lights, chandeliers and has white table cloths but it is not stuffy at all. We went there for lunch. It was a little busy with a baby shower in one room and a wedding shower in... More

Perfect place for either a special night with your wife or family dinner. Tom and his staff run a top notch place. The food is excellent and fairly priced.

We gave this place another try after a marginal meal the last time we were there. I am happy to report it is back to the forefront of local restaurants. I was completely blown away with the quality and quantity of food here. The gumbo was off the charts loaded with "stuff" including more shrimp than most restaurants serve at... More
