We decided to eat here for dinner. We did not have a reservation, but it was not busy. We did get a table and waited for 15 minutes before we were greeted by our waitress. I was about to get up and leave, then she...came to our table. The portions of the food were big enough to split between 2 people. My husband and I ordered a calzone and a larger house salad. The house salad was not good. It had theire housemade dressing which seemed like it was missing something. The calzone was ok, it hardly had any cheese and the filling was all in the center. This was not a very good Italian restaurant. I could go to olive garden and eat better for cheaper. Don't waste your money here!!!More

I made a last minute telephone reservation and the staff was kind enough to get us on the books. On arrival, we only waited a few minutes, which was cool! That's where the disappointment started. It took until after our appetizer was delivered to realize...we had no utensils. We were a table of four and received three pieces of bread and two big plates of oil (I don't blame our waiter for this part). Mostly, the food was disappointing. The pizza hardly had any cheese; the chicken was tough, dry, and overcooked; the sauces (we ordered various pastas) were overly greasy and bland; and the two thicker pastas (penne and fettuccine) were both undercooked. All in all, it wasn't worth the money. Too bad, because they seemed nice and were in a convenient location. I'm not a professional chef, and I definitely don't know the pressure of a slammed kitchen. What I do know is that my food at home comes out way better than that. I won't be coming back.More

We went to a 50th Anniversary dinner in their private diningroom where the food ordered off the menu was superb and the service excellent. SO we invited another couple to meet us there on a Wednesday evening and were quite disappointed. Luckily the martinis were...top-shelf and the calamari matched them. But our server was either over-loaded or just didn't think we wanted to order for a LONG time. Then our food was not what we had come to expect as we knew this was the FAVORITE Italian spot for so many. Perhaps we just went on an off night.More

We picked this sight unseen and it was perfect. The owner was also the hostess. She was so helpful in making recommendations for things to do while we were in the area. The food was amazing and it was the perfect place for our Anniversary...trip dinner.More

Treated rudely. Made a reservation day prior to visit by telephone for 4 people. We were attending a show at 730 so I made a 6:00 reservation. Upon arrival, approached greeter. Reservation not listed. The older lady asked who I spoke to. I stated a...young girl to which she replied “you didn’t get her name? The number on rule is to always get a name who you speak to” maybe hold your employees who answer phones to be accountable! We are the customers! I didn’t make a scene but was disappointed in this older lady’s behavior. We were seated in back room shortly after that. Never an apology. Food was good. Server friendly. The mood was set by inefficient staff and the rude behavior of greeter. Not acceptable. If you make a reservation make sure you get their name as their reservation process is inefficient.More

Never in my life have I seen such rude behavior as I saw demonstrated by the owner/ manager at Clemenza. My family of four children and two grandparents and myself went to eat dinner there on the day we arrived from NY for our vacation....We were excited to be in FL, and reunited with my parents. When my daughters exchanged a brief disagreement over who was sitting in which seat (we have all been there!!), she rudely and inappropriately disciplined them (my job as their mom!) and then muttered more harmful words in Itilian. We sat down anyway, as I try to be patient with people as we all come out of the pandemic together and readjust to life again, but she did not stop. Mama Clemenza then childishly would not give my daughter a menu until she said “thank you” (again, my job and give her the menu first so she CAN say thank you, my kids are polite and kind). She was obviously being mean and childish to my 10 year old daughter. That’s when I decided I did not want to eat at anyplace where the owner is not happy to see customers. We walked out, but on the way she ran after us trying to kick us out, and again muttering insults in Itilian. I do not know how the food is, but I also work in a service business and I know how customers should be treated! I always appreciate our clients and customers and always make sure they feel welcome and taken care of. In our world, we need more kindness and care, and less anger, hate and frustration. Mama Clemenza obviously is dealing with some demons, and I will give her some forgiveness for that, but it does not belong in a restaurant and should not be hurting my children.More

Waiter spilled dipping oil over my shirt and shorts. Talk about terrible service. I'm a Destin resident and once in a while go to Clemenza's as that is a popular place for business meetings. This occasion was 6/24/21 around 18:00 but we were seated a...little later. It was a business meeting. Waiter was serving dipping oil and bread. Leaned over and the drops poured down my right sleeve (special occasions shirt) and shorts. It was the mistake of a poorly trained waiter. Fair enough. It's what happened next that upset me. Because the waiter did not have any cloths to wipe my shirt and short down with I went to the rest room. When I got back he'd impartially wiped down my chair. So, I went to find someone to give me some napkins. No one was to be found, so I decided to procure a napkin and utensils from an unoccupied table. But the oncoming server snapped at me. Fair enough. I replied that her waiter spilled oil all over me and I could not find any napkins. The lady said she would be right with me. In the mean time, I went back to the restroom to get some paper towels. Together we wiped down the chair. Dinner was fine. Business as usual...until I realized that the waiter had also spilled oil on the table and failed to clean it up. I got messier. At the end of the night, I had to go to the bar and ask for a plastic bag....I drove with colleagues and had to take off my shirt and put it into the plastic bag so I would not get their car seat oily. I've washed my shirt/short 2 times now. Oil is coming out. Hope I'm able to salvage it. As for Clemenza's. won't be going back there again...including any business meetings. We can eat elsewhere. Let's be honest, Clemenz's is over priced. If for whatever reason, I have to go back...I'm wearing a disposable shirt. I suggest you do the same. Manager didn't even bother apologizing for poor waiting staff.More

Terrible service and food was cold. We told the waitress and he took the food away. Brings food back warm and burned. Disappointed again. Second time and the quality has not change. Not coming back. Will spread the voice. Destin FL has better places.

My husband and I absolutely love the food at Clemenza's at Uptown in Ft. Walton Beach, FL. We have been coming here for a number of years, initially as vacationers to the Panhandle, but now we are Florida residents. My husband's favorite menu item is...the Seafood Linguine. He has often said that the sauce is the best of any he has had, including in Italy. I have many favorites! The Veal Francese and Veal Piccata are outstanding, as well as many of the pasta dishes and the Chicago Italian beef sandwich. We both also love the pizza! The extra special part of our dining experience is the excellent service we always enjoy from Jennifer Sexton. She is so warm and friendly that we think of her as a friend. For my birthday this past January, she brought my dessert on a plate that she had decorated with my name and Happy Birthday in chocolate. Now that was a special birthday meal! We have had dinner at Clemenza's on several occasions with siblings who were visiting from out of town. Jennifer was our server, and that dining experience was one of the favorite memories of their vacation! Thank you, Jennifer, for making every visit to Clemenza's a special one, and thanks to all of the staff for the outstanding food!More

We went to Clemenza's for the first time today. Sat outside and our waiter 'Bob' came out with two ice cold glasses of water and menus. We ordered a pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms. Pizza was excellent, service was also, price was good. We got...there about noon and left a little after 1:00. Overall, excellent and we will return.More

We took an old friend, from Italy, out for lunch and she ordered the Gnocchi with pesto and it took her home to when her mom made it for her. She loved it. We had chicken parm and meatballs which were wonderful. This is the...place for great, not good, but great Italian food. If you're in the area stop in for a great meal.More

Outside, no, inside, yes. In a strip mall type building, but cozy inside. They take reservations, and have a nice bar, All table seating, no booths. You can get a table in a corner, for a more private feeling.
