The view, the breeze, the smells are all delightful. The menu offered varied choices that were appealing. Those who ordered the group special were very pleased. Our escargot en croute was different but very nice. But when my main course arrived, I immediately smelled BBQ...sauce which is something I vary rarely would order. I asked the waiter as the menu said an Asian mix including ginger for my SCALLOPS. You can imagine that there was no scallop taste, just BBQ. I hate to send things back but I was just not going to eat it. So I did ... and ordered it plain. Of course, it arrived when every one else was finished. Not an enjoyable experience unfortunately.More

Great restaurant with amazing ambiance. Came for dessert and coffee and it was magnificent. Definitely recommend visiting here.

We had high hopes, but were disappointed. Best marks for atmosphere, service, wine list, escargot and creme brulee. Everything else fell short, and it was a bit perplexing. The menu had many authentic French selections but they were not properly or traditionally prepared.

My husband and I missed our reservations elsewhere for dinner so we tried here and was very welcoming. I have eaten here before and was always good, and still is! It was nice and quiet inside, great service, and the food was excellent!

I love French food. Bay Cafe does the frogs a great disservice. True, the ambience is delightful. The marginality of the meal and its cost make this a one-stop place. We had lunch; mine was grouper in menieure sauce with a scoop of mashed potatoes...and 3 green beans. $18. My husband had 4 scallops at $18. Food presentation non-existent.More

I have not been since last year . This is a restaurant that was great during this visit and every time I have ever been . Dining on the porch or on the water is a true delight . The food and the service is...5 star . It is a Must for me to make a stop here once I get to town . Once you go I'm sure you will feel the same way !More

Great restaurant out of the main flow of tourists, fantastic food and reasonable prices. Excellent service and on the water just below Brooks Bridge.

I’ve been going there to eat for many many years!!! I moved away and now I have come back and I can’t wait to go there to get their homemade chicken salad on a croissant!!!! It is out of this world. Everything I’ve ever had...there was good but my favorite is the chicken salad on the toasted croissantMore

Had a great waterside table with exceptional service. Very nice atmosphere inside and outside. Dinners were all outstanding; grouper, Chilean sea bass, pork, and chicken. Expertly prepared. Salad was a bit plain but desserts were excellent. Highly recommended.

No children's menu. You will seldom see children here as it is more of a place for a couple's special evening out. You would be expected to control your children.
