We ate here on the first night of our stay at Fort Myers Beach after reading reviews locally. Food was average and the service the same. Personally thought it was a bit expensive compared to other places but certainly not the most expensive.

We visited The Beached Whale several times mainly for lunch. The food here is great, I can highly recommend the Yucatan Shrimp from the Raw Bar, it is divine. The staff are very friendly and knowledgable and cannot do enough to help you. It is great to sit-up stairs and overlook the island. We will definitely return on our next... More

Always packed, The Beached Whale has one of the top, most diverse menus in the area. There is not one single entrée that is not fresh and tasty. Been there many a times over the past 5 years, and make it a point to eat something different every time. Bon a'pettite

We ate upstairs on the rooftop, which is where everyone is even though it was really hot and the downstairs is air conditioned. There were nine of us and we all sat at the bar and had drinks then dinner, really great service, as the manager took our drink orders as the bartender was tending to other customers. It's nice... The place is a little older and dark. The food was very average and expensive. The menu is not very extensive so don't go looking for a wide selection.

My wife and I walked in with small Diet Cokes and were asked to leave because they were outside drinks. Kind of weird if you ask me. I mean we probably would have spent forty or fifty bucks.

Can't beat happy hour on the upper deck. $1 Yuengling beer and half price on a few appetizers-we had wings and the flat bread, which were good. Nice atmosphere. Sat at the bar. Friendly bar staff; Brett is awesome. People always coming in, including locals. Also, stopped in one night at the bar for a couple drinks and ordered raw... More

Went in for Long Island Iced Tea and Mussels for late lunch/early dinner. Happy hour is M-F from 2:00 - 5:00. I had the mussels that were very flavorful, everything I expected them to be and plenty of mussels. Came with two pieces of bread. My husband ordered the conch chowder. It wasn't too spicy. Long Island Iced Tea was... More

Great staff. Especially Tiffani!!! But it was so quiet we could actually hear crickets chirping. We would have stayed longer but it was too quiet. Hopefully music comes back or we won't. The wings are great tho.
