4 couples had a good dinner here. Appetizers for the table included - oysters, calamari, shrimp and mussels - all four were done to perfection. We had a wide array of entrees and all were excellent. Our service was good and prices were fair. This is a huge venue and we were lucky enough to sit by the water. We... More

This is a great place to sit outside and enjoy seeing the boating activity in the bay. Good food, great service. Tough to figure out how to get to this place.

Our visit to Doc Ford's was spur of the moment. We called ahead and were put on their list while we were still enroute which was greatly appreciated. Once seated, our great experience continued with attentive service and amazing food. The menu makes it hard to choose but all of our selections were delicious. And save room for the banana... More

Great casual waterfront place for families or friends. Found the fresh fish sandwich I was looking forward to when I visit south Florida.

Fresh Gulf Shrimp Yucatan.... Oh so good. Want to go back when I return. Restaurant upstairs is very busy, but if you go down stairs it is first come first serve for outdoor dining, Heaters made our visit comfortable despite the cool night.

A little disappointed with this place, I expected the the food and its menu to be better. The place is setup nice with a large outside eating area along the water. The food was average. Good place to grab a a lost cost burger and fries, just don't expect anything more.

Great out of the way location. The food old Florida. The staff is friendly. This is bar food with a southern local leaning. Go to relax and enjoy.

We came to this Doc Ford's because you have to pay to get over the bridge to there Sanibel... More

Had a great dinner here. It was a Saturday night so we called ahead and made a reservation and I'm glad we did. It was raining, so the outdoor seating wasn't available and inside was crowded. Our waitress was Kelly and she was excellent....very attentive and listened to our questions. I had the shrimp and grits which was delicious. My... More
