Waiter Mike's suggestions were spot on! He said that the red snapper just came in this afternoon. I had it and it was outstanding. He also recommended the seafood bisque soup. Wow was that terrific! You could stand a spoon up in it. Because it was not "season", Mike could take his time with us and his suggestions were great.... More

I'm a frequent visitor to Prawnbroker, never have had a bad meal. Always the best service and a great happy hour in the bar. During the summer they have a great lobster special on Friday night. Visitor or local this is a great place to dine or have a drink. My only complaint is they close too early.

The best seafood restaurant in Fort Myers. I had the clams and oyster appetizer and it was delicious. My husband had the escargot that was fabulous. We ordered swordfish and tuna for dinner and it was as fresh as can be. Casual atmosphere and great service. I highly recommend giving it a try. Must make reservations especially in Season.

We found this gem on trip advisor & thought we'd give it a try. We made it in time for happy hour which you had to sit in the bar for. There were 2 seats at the bar so thought we'd sit there. When traveling it's a good place to meet the locals. Michelle greeted us and gave us the... More

My wife and I had dinner at the Prawnbroker August 4th. Our server, Donna, was amazing. She never let our water glasses get below half full, and she poured our wine with equal diligence. The food was served expertly in the proper order and timing. In addition, the menu choices and wine selection are superb. We will make this restaurant... More

Best seafood restaurant in SW Florida. Best restaurant in Ft Myers, IMO. Never had a bad experience. Management and most of the wait staff have been there for years, many since the restaurant opened.

This place has amazing food and good portion sizes. We had a bottle of wine which was wonderful, and the soup and calamari was great. You pay for what you get but it was a very nice dinner.

Here we go again visiting one of our favorite restaurant in Fort Myers. Every time we are in town we go to Prawnbroker restaurant for the always fresh Grouper Matanzas and to see Donna our wonderful server for the last 25 years. Donna makes us feel like a part of her family. The Chilean sea bass and the daily made... More

Description
Walking through the front doors, guests are greeted by the in-house seafood market, where the Prawnbroker showcases their specially chosen fresh fillets of fish and beef, hand-cut on premise, that are sure to tempt the palates of all. To emphasize their commitment to buying local and bringing you the freshest seafood Ft. Myers has to offer, you'll find our hand picked selection straight from the local waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Here you'll get a peek at the sumptuous fare that you'll soon be enjoying from their comfortable yet elegant dining room. Feast your eyes on mouth-watering Snapper, Gulf Shrimp, Softshell Crabs, Mahi Mahi, and the best Grouper Florida has to offer. Small tubs of pale pink creamy shrimp bisque stand in line next to bases for both kinds of chowder - New England style being what the restaurant is most famous for, a nod to the original owners' home region. Diners consistently return to enjoy these favorites plus the greatest Florida Stone crabs (in season) and Maine Lobsters.
