We stopped by Prawnbroker the other night after hearing about their Happy Hour. We ate there last year and figured it was good than so let's give it a shot. It is our new favorite place in the area. A very nice crowd, very good drinks and the Happy Hour(4-7) food deals are terrific. They offer a nice selection of... More

The single best spot in town to enjoy local soft shell crabs, sautéed with garlic butter and delicious! Menu doesn't change a lot , but it's always good with great service. Thanks Sara!

If you are picking up a friend at airport or before you drop off go here for dinner. Don't try to go for lunch as they are closed. Great seafood, upscale setting, good wine by the glass. It is a straight shot off 75 take Daniels and go west...travel time 15-20 mins. It is worth it as it is very... More

We have been coming to the Prawnbroker for over 20 years I and have never been disappointed. So many new restaurants have opened in Fort Myers but the Prawnbroker hold its own very well. You will find a varied variety of seafood all of it fresh. Ask for the daily fish specials since these will include varieties not on the... More

Good food. Questionable management and training. Entree orders never put in. Components missing from platters. Unapolagetic performance. Mussels were good. Served with good bread for dunking. Grouper was good. Service left much to be desired.

I have dined at the Prawnbroker since moving to Fort Myers in 1982. They were a new restaurant back then, trying to make a name for themselves. In the past few decades, they have done an excellent job. You won't better service at many places in this town. The wait staff is always personable and eager to make your dining... More

Walking through the front doors, guests are greeted by the in-house seafood market, where the Prawnbroker showcases their specially chosen fresh fillets of fish and beef, hand-cut on premise, that are sure to tempt the palates of all. To emphasize their commitment to buying local and bringing you the freshest seafood Ft. Myers has to offer, you'll find our hand picked selection straight from the local waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Here you'll get a peek at the sumptuous fare that you'll soon be enjoying from their comfortable yet elegant dining room. Feast your eyes on mouth-watering Snapper, Gulf Shrimp, Softshell Crabs, Mahi Mahi, and the best Grouper Florida has to offer. Small tubs of pale pink creamy shrimp bisque stand in line next to bases for both kinds of chowder - New England style being what the restaurant is most famous for, a nod to the original owners' home region. Diners consistently return to enjoy these favorites plus the greatest Florida Stone crabs (in season) and Maine Lobsters.
