I have been to fancy‘s more times than I can count. On my recent visit I couldn’t help but notice things were looking a little shabby. The entrance when you walk in from the parking lot is very dirty and needs to be pressure washed...More
This is our favorite restaurant for Southern prepared food in Southwest Florida. The entrees are freshly made and worth the little extra wait. Our visit today, however, was not pleasant due to a boisterous table of drunk patrons that were hollering at each other and...More
I visited Fancy’s for lunch earlier this week and had the Fried Green Tomatoes and Chicken-N-Waffles. The Fried Green Tomatoes were a nice sharable appetizer: juicy tomato slices with a light crisp breading. The Chicken-N-Waffles were delicious. Warm tender chicken breast with a light crisp...More
Literally everything here is amazing. I have had almost half the menu and have yet to not like something. I personally love the ribs but my husband loves the chicken and waffles. Friendly staff and excellent atmosphere.
Our first time visit, having picked up family from the airport, hungry & looking for some late morning breakfast/brunch. Fancy's is tucked in a slightly off the road spot on Daniels Parkway. The wait, a Sunday morning was minimal and worth it. The staff moves...More
Went with a child and another adult. I feel the atmosphere was a little more geared to older diners, but there was a children’s menu and the child loved her food. Don’t come here if you’re calorie conscious unless you want to splurge. Yummy meatloaf,...More
Such a great recommendation for a comfy dinner on a rainy day. The atmosphere was perfect, with live music overlooking the quaint bar area. The decor had a beautifully hand-crafted southern chic flair, with a repurposed table turned chandelier casting a soft glow over the...More
Great dinner, our family of 5 ate at the bar since we didn’t have reservations but the bartender (Dave? I believe) was so great with our 3 boys, attentive, and witty. The food was amazing and we were thrilled to find this place. The chicken...More

Good Southern cooking is hard to find in urban areas of Florida, and it is much sought after when it is found. I have only found two restaurants that fit this description and Fancy's was one. If the thought of authentic Southern food makes your mouth water Fancy's is the right place. We were traveling, found the restaurant on Tripadvisor and decided to take a chance. We were not disappointed. When a restaurant is in demand and alternative food cannot be found anywhere close, some days may find larger crowds than others. We made reservations, our meal was perfect from beginning to end. The plus is that the decor of Fancy's captures the eye and the imagination. It is so cleverly designed upscale country. This also makes it a perfect place when you wish to take someone for a memorable meal.
